Generally in Buddhism, most of the people present here seem to be veteran fellow practitioners. There should be few opportunities to participate in courses like this. Most of them are lectures and seminars. So this is the first time for me. Try to lead everyone to do the exercises in this way, then let me first talk about why this course is offered?In the past, I also came to our proclamation team to make connections with you, and like most masters, I exchanged courses on precepts or pure land methods with you. Another time, I talked about one at the suggestion of the bodhisattvas of our proclamation team. In the lecture, I talked about the comparison between the Medicine Master Tathagata and this bliss. Because our side also often holds the Medicine Master Dharma meeting, so I have also exchanged ideas with him.Just now we looked at this solemn Bodhisattva of ceremonies. She asked me, before introducing her, she said, "Master, which subject do you specialize in? Which one?" I have difficulty answering for a while, because I usually don’t want to ask this question. Directly speaking, I specialize in Pure Land Dharma, so I replied, "I specialize in Buddhism."

 

Normally, if I answered that I specialized in Buddhism, it would be the same as his reaction just now. Many people have the same reaction as him, so I don’t understand!Is this the answer?This is the most satisfactory answer.I have come here before to talk about the precepts, the Pure Land, and the courses related to the Pharmacist Tathagata, so which method do you think I practice?Which method is Buddhism, this is the term for consummation. Unless you have not integrated, and you have not integrated the teachings, then of course you must be divided into sects. Maybe you have only contacted the Pure Land Method or you may have only contacted the "Hua". "Yan", "Tiantai"... and so on, you have not touched the other teaching methods, of course you can’t integrate them, so we can only say that I specialize in the Pure Land or specialize in a certain method, but in fact they are different The goals of each school are the same. After attaining Buddhahood, they are all the same, and the realms they have attained are the same. It’s just that the roots and personal roots are different, so...then the great virtue of the Patriarch is for the convenience of education. , So he naturally develops various sects, such a development, so when we learn, we can of course be based on our own karma when we are learning, and it can be convenient to determine what I am specializing in, for example, if we want to say from the convenience If I were to specialize in Pure Land, almost everyone of us now specializes in Pure Land, most of them!Not everyone, that is, most of the people on our side are dedicated to the pure land, some are the pure land of the medicine master Tathagata, and some are the pure land of Amitabha, and they do not go to recite the Buddha, the Dharma, or the Sangha.

 

Recitation of Buddhism is the easiest, but think about it, everyone, what is pure land?Does it mean that you only have to study Buddha and then you graduate?Then the simple teachings give us the Pure Land of Bliss, which is to recite the Buddha and then live in the Bliss. Is it that simple?of course not!Everyone knows what the name Amitabha Buddha means?What's included? "Mande", the name of Amitabha Buddha is Wandehong name. Of course, that Wande contains all the teachings, and all sects are included in it. Ten thousand is the expression of infinite dharma, the infinite method and the infinite virtue and energy are all contained in it. The immeasurable merits, the merits of the immeasurable methods are all contained in this Buddha name, so if we want to say that we specialize in the Pure Land method, of course we should... If we want to speak satisfactorily, it should be a universal religion instead of just understanding this Buddha name. , But we don’t understand, can we?Yes, that’s okay, so the practice of Buddhism is the three roots, and both the upper, middle and lower roots can be achieved. Today I will just give you a brief introduction to clarify some concepts. This junior college has... it looks mixed, but in fact it is specialized, just because I just talked about it. It contains all the Dharma in it, but in terms of things, if the Bodhisattva that we generally study does not go...if there is no cause, condition or ability, or there is no need to learn too many methods, then of course you will be honest. Actually reading the Buddha's name, this is the so-called specialization.

 

If you have the ability and cause to come into contact with other disciplines, whether you are in Zen or studying the teachings, if you have the ability and mastery, then you will be included in this Buddha name. You can also say that you specialize in the Pure Land method, so you understand. ?This concept, so next time someone tells you that I specialize in Buddhism, then you will know what he is talking about!But I’m too embarrassed to tell you directly, I am familiar with all religions, so I will throw the egg after a while, but in fact, the real Buddhism really encompasses everything. If we really understand this principle, we won’t I will praise and ruin him. I will not distinguish between you and me. I will not distinguish between superiors and inferior ones. All are Buddhism, but because each has its own causes and conditions, each has its own convenience and skill. This is a concept. Does Buddha-nature include all dharma?Do all sects and sects have to enter this Buddha-nature before you can become a Buddha!Do we aim to become a Buddha?Are all sects and sects aiming to become a Buddha?Correct.How do you become a Buddha?There are many methods that are difficult and easy. Today we want to try it out and lead you to experience the "Buddha Mind" in a relatively simple way and the taste of a Buddha. Do you want to be a Buddha?You say, "Oh! Excuse me! I have a lot of karma now, how can I be a Buddha?" It doesn't matter, wait a minute and try!Go and experience it, maybe you will be enlightened right now, it doesn’t matter if you don’t have enlightenment, I suddenly feel it, hey!It seems that I am really doing a Buddha, and I have a different appearance, so the actual practice is to take everyone to feel it, even if it is a second, if you feel a little bit, you have really become a Buddha!What is big love?Great love is the heart of Buddha!

 

What we Buddhism says is "no destiny for great mercy, and great compassion for one body." This is the Buddha's unconditional and selfless love for sentient beings.Then, today, through some simple skills, we will lead everyone to try and practice to enlighten our inherent Buddha nature. We already have it, as long as we enlighten it. If not, it’s too difficult. I don’t have the ability, Buddha. There is no way to come, because each of us has Buddha nature, so let's give it a try.The method is very simple, let's not think about it today, oh!What kind of method I want to learn, there is nothing in this lecture today... What kind of method is divided into, which school of method, we just come to feel ourselves directly, and inspire our own Buddha nature.

 

We’re not pretending to have something or theories. Everyone has pretended to have a lot of these. They have installed a lot of theories of various factions. In the end, it’s more important to use them. So we don’t want to pretend many things today. We try to inspire, take the teachings of the various sects and sects that you have heard and learned before, as well as our own inherently complete Buddha nature, and we try to make it work. This is today's lecture. If you master this key, you can practice often on your own when you go back, and then you can practice once to be a Buddha, and practice ten times to be a Buddha ten times. To experience the taste, you can also help others, you can also To spread the love of the Buddha, let us experience it ourselves.

Then why would I want to try this way and take everyone to do this exercise?Because in the past five or six years, I have been in retreat. This was originally meant to be diligent and cessation of language retreat, but the cause and condition were not mature. I went to the traditional monasteries in mainland China to find the cause and condition that protected the pass. It really has to be closed and sealed, and after five years in there, it will come out, but there is no such cause.I even went to Wuhan to ask some seniors for help. Many of their seniors in mainland China are monastery abbots. Now it is difficult for the abbots to have the chance to work hard, so the cause and fate are not mature, I just... and finally I just... just this... Closing a convenient pass is just a convenient pass. In principle, it is fine to leave the house. With no foot in the convenient pass, then I barely managed to complete the five years. So the last time I came here to get married, it should have been more than five years ago. During this retreat period, I had a small place and a closed house in Taitung, and also in Chile. There was a year of time. I received some information from aliens. It was very valuable. Some good messages, don’t everyone think, wow!It's amazing!All the causes and conditions were arranged by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Then I went to South America, Latin America and Chile alone. There was a desert place, a desert area, and a closed room was set up there. I stayed there for a year. , Because there is a blessing effect of its magnetic field...and so on, it just happened to have the cause and condition to go, so we will have the development of this theme today, which is also related to the cause and condition when I went to Chile. That year, I myself I also feel that there are very different gains. After all, as a Chinese, we may not have heard of Chile in our entire life?What is South America?The United States is familiar to everyone, right?Well, the United States is North America!This side belongs to South America, and they all speak Spanish.

 

When I came into contact with this message, I was completely unfamiliar with Chile. I had no concept at all, and I didn’t understand Spanish at all, but I had seen it and occasionally saw it very rarely. The impression was very weak, that is, impression. Central and South America is a very enthusiastic nation, so go to experience and find out what kind of enthusiasm is it?In the end, I went because it was for convenience!At that time, I was all Christians over there!There are various causes and conditions, so I am temporarily convenient. During the retreat, I can not wear monk clothes or shave my hair. In order to be safe, various causes and conditions are opened for convenience. As a result, they have no sense of distance when they see me, and they can interact and interact easily. , And then treat this like ordinary people. They have a habit of hugging when they meet people. We Chinese do not have this habit, but it is very common for them. So in American society, they also embrace when they meet people. A kiss is also very common, but the passion in South America is more special, then he not only hugs but also kisses, one side is not enough to kiss the other side, kiss both sides, of course, also look!At least it’s just a hug. I did some research later. If I’m familiar with them, I’ll use very poor English, plus a mobile phone translation to communicate. It turns out that my family can hug a little tighter. If you are unfamiliar, you can't hold it too tightly, or wait for someone to say if you are indecent!This should be handled well. If ordinary friends, kiss, hug, and kiss probably have such an unspoken rule, but they do it naturally, making you feel that they really want to greet from the heart. You, you have to show kindness to you, this is what you can feel when we ourselves have to experience it for ourselves.

 

It is also a hug. People in North America and South America have different feelings in the etiquette of hugging. In contrast, countries that develop faster, that is, countries that develop faster and more developed economies, may interact with people. In terms of being colder or more ritual, just do it politely, but most of these people in South America give me the feeling that he is very sincere, and there is no exception for him who does not know him, he must hug you A moment, so I often get wet and wet, I am not used to it, and then I am awkward at the beginning, then we can't let...show that I am awkward or unaccustomed, this is a learning course!For me, I had to face this course at the time because they were very natural and polite, and then expressed kindness to you. If we didn’t follow that situation, we would be rude and we would find it very strange. But you guys think about it, if you were me at the time, would you think it was a big breakthrough for you, right?To a stranger, to the opposite sex!He is not gender-specific!What would you think of just hugging you like this?What are you doing, aren't you?An instinct, what do you want to do?This one instinctively protects himself, especially girls!We will definitely want to protect ourselves in particular, so if we really react like this, it would be really rude, so with a fate, we will treat ourselves as our own practice.

 

What is practice?Overcoming all kinds of obstacles in our hearts and behaviors, and opening our hearts, what is our ultimate goal of becoming a Buddha?To save sentient beings, right?If you can’t really turn your love and compassion for sentient beings into actions, how can you save sentient beings?Of course you don’t have to hug you when you see people!Various methods, right?Isn’t that why we are all... This is also part of our practice. We have to learn how to be a Buddha. If we want to be a Buddha, we have to learn how to be like a Buddha and Bodhisattva, and make his compassionate love. Show it, start from the simplest, for example, we usually want to care about our family and friends, we are embarrassed to say it, right?Especially the Chinese are shy and not good at expressing, let alone hugging, because people do not have this habit in culture, and sometimes they will be misunderstood by others. How can this person be so casual? That is because the cultural relationship cannot achieve good results, so We don’t have to do it so deliberately, it doesn’t matter, because whatever we do, it must be effective, but this principle means that we have to practice, how to help us open our minds and overcome some obstacles that we didn’t dare to do before. , Should not dare to do it, for example, to express concern for sentient beings, this is actually where we can practice since we were young.

The example I just gave was in Chile. This action is a bit big for me. I haven’t been hugged by others when I grow up. It’s just men who don’t know me. When I see you, I’ll hug or kiss you. Some of them are better. The enthusiasm is still a little... his distance!There are all of them, and some are, ah!It seems to be very gentleman, just a gentle gesture to show that some are really enthusiastic, and of course it won't hold you too tight!It will also become impolite.I observe, because I lived for a year!I don’t know how many times I have been hugged. Boys and girls are like this, so I have observed that different movements can emit different magnetic fields and effects. This is also a good learning course and experience. So why did I think of taking everyone to do some exercises today?Not asking you to hug directly, not so... This is the advanced class. Let’s start with the elementary class, which means to give me this inspiration, because they are a passionate nation, but relatively they don’t have too much disguise or burden. They can directly To express his emotions and caring for people. In this respect, we really... Chinese people are subject to some traditional culture, the restraints of ethics or misunderstandings, etc., which become a kind of burden for us and a kind of practice for us. obstacle.

 

Do you think about whether people need to care about each other?But if you dare not speak or express, should you use your heart to respond?The other party can't feel it again, what they feel is negative, and then cause misunderstanding, right?And then this...the barriers to communication are getting more and more, so this is our practice, we really want to practice!We have to use all the Dharma that we have learned in various schools and schools, and we have to take the first step. So today I have this inspiration. I want to take everyone to practice together and try how to start small movements. To practice, to care with the minds of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, with the feelings of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and to treat sentient beings. How can the great love and compassion of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas be expressed?Are we now being Buddhas?Are we learning to write Buddha?It is not difficult to be a Buddha. It is more difficult for us to be enlightened. To be a Buddha and then to obtain the full wisdom of the Buddha is not easy. At least you have to be enlightened first, and then start to cultivate, but it is not difficult to learn to write about the Buddha. What is it doing?He does all big things and small things. The small eyes, the small smile, the small holding hands, and the small experiencing movements are all methods that the Buddha will use when saving sentient beings, not necessarily. Saying that the Buddha only does big things and not small things, right?

 

Then we can learn how to be a Buddha from a small place. As long as we start to practice, no matter how deep or shallow the experience is, we are all being Buddha, and as long as you experience that the heart is touched, you will be really caught up in it all at once. The whole transformation, the xinxing will change, and then suddenly you may be able to reincarnate completely. This is very mysterious, very mysterious, is this kind of practice...no, it is not gradual, it just goes in and goes in at once. Now, you can realize the feeling of being a Buddha yourself. Once you have realized it, you will easily understand the mind of the Buddha. You will be easily enlightened in the future, and you will be easily enlightened by listening to the scriptures and the Dharma, because you have already experienced it yourself. Well!right?We imitate, although we don't have to use the doctrinal, do you understand the doctrinal, and don't know how to use it?I won’t be enlightened after listening for a long time. It’s okay. Let’s practice directly. Practice from a small place. It will guide you through the guidance of sounds, words, and some small movements. Wow!This must be carefully designed, because during my time in Chile, I also had a deep experience of that kind of feeling, although at first I was forced to face practice courses of this kind, advanced courses.But during the interaction, I really feel the kindness, care, and enthusiasm that others radiate to me. One day I suddenly thought that I should give myself another dharma name, and then just set up a small lecture hall, so it was called "Shi Ai Lecture Hall". "Love" represents the entire Buddhism, not the love of our people. It is great love and compassion.This is the core of the entire Buddhism, and it will definitely not exceed this. This is the most core, because all theories, all the advanced theories, must be implemented in the end to save sentient beings?Do you want to implement this great love?Except for this range, there is no Dharma outside this range. The true Dharma is great love. Everything else is a convenient theory with different names, what kind of Buddha-nature!Then what kinds of different terms are used in different sects. In the end, its function is to use this great love on sentient beings. After we grasp this core, we will know how to quickly achieve it and go directly to the core. Practice and start directly.

 

Then I will learn from Master Hongyi myself. Master Hongyi took more than one hundred dharma titles by himself, and I only took one as a general program of our study. I remember this dharma title every day, reminding us that in the end of our study, we must become a Buddha. To become a Buddha is to use this great love. This is our core and most complete goal of learning, so I have one more dharma name. In fact, the most important thing is to use it in life. If you understand it, you will understand it. The theory does not need to be understood very much... You don't need to learn a lot. We are now just as enjoying meditation. This process can help us enter the state of Buddha.Relax, but concentrate on not falling asleep. Listen to this spirituality. The voice of each of us can easily trigger our deep Buddha-nature. It is connected and has the same magnetic wave.

 

This kind of spiritual voice is the voice of "light", and it is also the call of the Buddha to us. Through this spiritual call, it is also to inspire our own Buddha nature. At this time, we only need to let ourselves have no thoughts and enjoy the peace and tranquility at this moment. The Buddha's heart and the state of the Buddha are this tranquility and tranquility. Let's try to experience it.

 

Where is the Buddha?The Buddha is in each of us, our own Buddha-nature is also in our heart, and the Buddha is everywhere in the universe. Therefore, through the guidance of this moment, let us follow the call of this spirituality and plunge our whole body and mind into the entire universe. In the embrace of the Buddha, the Buddha is the universe, and the universe is the Buddha.We become one with the entire universe and the entire Buddha light. We are no longer the tiny ordinary beings, we are Buddhas.The Buddha’s mind is peaceful and peaceful, and we also experience that feeling. The Buddha has absolutely no troubles and is very relaxed. There are no distracting thoughts in his heart. It is a very peaceful moment that is one with the universe. We enjoy quietly. This feeling.
