Starting tonight, we are about to hold five consecutive days of lectures in the conference hall of the Widder Hotel in Muar.The cause and conditions for the initiation of this conference can be said to be completely blessed by the light of Amitabha Buddha.The main benefit of our Fa conference this time is, especially for us, the old fellow practitioners of the Three Pure Sect Associations in Muar. Secondly, of course, with such a special venue, I hope that there will be more beginners. Can come and learn together.So our organizer this time, as far as I know, he particularly hopes to be able to let all the old fellow practitioners of the Muar Jingzong Society learn from each other through the karma of turning the wheel of the Falun this time. Opportunity to communicate together.So this time we were able to gather the fellow practitioners of the three Pure Sects in Muar through this conference. This cause and condition can be said to be very rare and unprecedented.
So today is the first day of the Fa conference, and the practitioners participating in it are obvious, and it seems that there is a bit of yin and decay.It seems from this situation that it is true that our fellow practitioners and veteran monks in the Dharma-Ending period say that it is easier for women to achieve it.But it is indeed very rare. If it were not for the blessing of Amitabha's power and light, I am afraid it would not be easy.Therefore, it is a great honor for the final school to accept this prayer and return to our Muar area again to participate in this very meaningful study.At the same time, I am very grateful to the relevant persons in charge of our Weide Hotel for their kind support.
Not long ago, about a month ago, I was invited to our Muar Mahalari Pure Sect Society and had seven days of study with everyone.This cause is also very special. It can be said that since the establishment of the Mahalari Society, no master has given a lecture for seven consecutive days.In addition, the fellow initiates were very enthusiastic during the seven days of attendance; from the first day of forty to fifty people participated, it may be that the news was not well informed, until the last day it was full, and more than a hundred people couldn't be crowded.What is even more remarkable is that the fellow practitioners attending the meeting, whether they are beginners or old ginsengers, all have their faces filled with Dharma joy! Obviously all of them can receive the bright blessings of Amitabha! Fellow practitioners, it is true that good roots and merits are well-founded.So on the last day of the seven-day Fa conference, the practitioners were very motivated to ask for the three conversions or the five precepts.This kind of situation is also rare, so it is true that the number of fellow practitioners in Muar area who will be able to recite and become a Buddha in the future will definitely be quite large.So with this time, the cause and condition of coming back again, we still have five days here to discuss in depth.I hope that in addition to growing our old fellow practitioners and increasing their confidence in this method, of course, I also particularly hope that we will be the first to attend the lectures by the Miao Yin Jingzong Society and the fellow practitioners of the Muar Jingzong Society. We can also get the same induction.
So during these five days of lectures, we, the organizer, also specially prayed for the public, and hoped that at the end of each evening of lectures, we can arrange half an hour for everyone to ask questions on the spot.This will help everyone break through the current academic bottleneck in just five days more directly.I hope everyone can ask questions enthusiastically, but don't ask too hard. If it is too difficult, I will go back and ask Amitabha first.
The main scope of our study this time is the topic "The XNUMX Vows of Infinite Life Sutra" that we have set.This part is the range that we must learn for Buddhist chanting in the Pure Land. The forty-eight vows were proclaimed for us by Amitabha himself. Through the retelling of the Blessed One, then these forty-eight vows are also related to whether we can complete our studies in this life. achievement.
Therefore, we especially lead everyone this time, and we work together to deepen and continuously cultivate this core part, hoping to help everyone in a certain moment to be able to develop the confidence to decide to die.Everyone here, whether it is an old bodhisattva or a child, everyone has a chance, because our method is XNUMX% blessed by the power of Buddha! So as long as we use the right method, we will naturally be able to fully sense and completely in a certain moment. ’S entry.

(XNUMX) When encountering a monk, he should ask for the Dharma and do not play tricks
So first of all, I still have to briefly introduce myself, because today many fellow practitioners met for the first time.So at the same time, our CD-ROM this time is very likely to be circulated to provide for the public. I hope that all those who are destined to form Dharma destiny can now develop the confidence to decide to become a Buddha.So in order to prevent some fellow practitioners from seeing me, they always asked: "Why do you want to become a monk, Master? Why do you want to study Buddhism?" Some people asked, "Will it be a shame that you became a monk at such a young age?" I don't know how to answer, so I just take this opportunity to hope that in the future fellow practitioners will go to watch the CD by themselves if they have any questions. Sometimes I feel embarrassed to ask, how could it be a pity?
This one was particularly impressive. I used to befriend some fellow practitioners in various places in and outside the mainland. Then once I was waiting for a train at a train station in the mainland, and there was an oncoming man who looked like a handsome entrepreneur. Then he was very polite as soon as he walked over, and immediately stood up and let me sit, bowed at ninety degrees and said, "Master, please sit down."Did you know? The mainland is full of people. It’s really not easy to have an empty seat. Then I saw him being so polite, so I accepted to sit down. After sitting down, he was right next to me and introduced himself to me. At the same time I also talked about the understanding of the "Diamond Sutra". The "Diamond Sutra" is in the concept of ordinary people. If you can understand the principle of emptiness in the "Diamond Sutra", then maybe this person's realm is quite high.
Generally speaking, intellectuals like to talk about empty talk, just like our great writer of Su Dongpo, who always talks about empty talk and never sleeps at night.Because I was very polite and accepted the position he gave me, I had to listen patiently...After listening for a few minutes...I found out that I already knew how many levels he had, so I was still very polite to continue listening. He talked a few more times. I can't go on in minutes, because there is no expectation.Suddenly he changed his conversation, "Master, why do you want to be a monk? Isn't it a pity that you are a monk so young?" His tone was a little bit of a chattering, which made me feel humiliated. I was embarrassed and didn't know how to answer. .
But of course he didn't have any bad intentions. This is the habit of the people of the world, and the conversation between men and women is probably the way they are used to.So when I heard it at the time, it actually didn't feel very good and I wasn't used to it.Then I'm not good at socializing, so my face is a bit pulled down right now. I have been sitting for a long time and being polite. Anyway, I have listened to your performance for a few minutes. At this time, I will not be polite to you.I said, "It's rare for you to meet a mage and a monk. Why don't you take the time to ask something that is helpful to you? Why am I going to be a monk? What does it matter to you if I become a monk?"
This is fierce! There is no way, because I felt humiliated at the time. In fact, in my heart, I didn't mean to blame him.It’s just that I always feel that in terms of the previous concept, the conversation between men and women needs to be a little measured.Not to mention to the monks! It seems that it is always impolite to talk casually, then he was very embarrassed at that time, but fortunately he was full of grace, if he didn't turn his face, I really didn't know how to deal with it.
So I took this opportunity to introduce myself briefly. Although I feel that I don’t have anything particularly worth introducing, I always give you an account of my personal learning experience.

(XNUMX) Inspiring the karma of learning Buddhism
I encountered Buddhism in 1996, about 15 years ago. It was an accidental opportunity. I still have no way to understand what is the situation? What is the reason? I can only say that it is the blessing of the Three Jewels! A very peculiar cause. One day I was sweeping the floor at home. Usually I watched only two TV stations, one is a news station and the other is a Western movie. But that day, the TV at home unexpectedly jumped to the Buddhist station. There were dozens of them as soon as they left. How could it be possible? It's impossible to turn it carelessly! What's more, I didn't move it at all.
Suddenly, the voice that came from behind me was our old monk, Jingkong old monk, who was explaining the solemnity of the Paradise of Bliss.I remember he was talking about at the time that if we were to die into the Paradise of Bliss, everything would happen if we wanted to.If we want to eat, we have to eat when we are hungry, and we don’t have to cook it. If you think about it, the food will appear immediately.You don’t need to wash it after eating, the thought disappears immediately after a move...I heard this particular interest, because I was only in my twenties at that time. For this kind of food, I had to cook three meals a day, I had to eat it after cooking, and washed it after I had eaten it. It was greasy and it felt real. It's also a big trouble.Three times a day is not a trivial problem. As soon as I heard this refreshed and caught my attention, I threw the broom aside, and I sat down and listened carefully.
At first glance, the old mage looked very solemn.This complexion was flying, and it was a kind face, and it didn't seem to be a lie.However, what he said is too mysterious! It is really difficult for me to believe it, but the kind of heart at the time... I really hope it is true, I have a little expectation, so I am not here. After scanning it, I directly saw the Jingzong Society, this circulation office, and immediately checked the contact office on the computer as soon as the TV was turned off, checked the address, and immediately borrowed a set of "Infinite Life Sutra".
I was locked up at home for a whole month. In fact, during that month, I had already become interested.It can be said that after reading it... I accidentally saw that after the old monk introduced this paragraph, about ten minutes later, there is actually a very strong hope in my heart, I hope it is true, I want to go to bliss The world! This thought has arisen, so through this month, my whole person has been involved. Of course, I follow the teachings during the day, worshiping the Buddha, reciting the Buddha, and reciting the sutras. The first thing I recite is the forty-eight vows, and the fourth Seventeenth grade: "If you don’t cultivate blessings and wisdom in the past, you cannot smell the Dharma here..." The verse is easy to memorize, and there are many feelings for a whole month. The so-called day and night have dreams, and sleep at night is a big deal. Piles of scriptures float up, and Buddhas are often seen, and Buddhas are seen in dreams.This is something that many fellow practitioners have. Let's not think so mysteriously, think about it day by day and dream at night! When I was a beginner, I often got the blessing of the Three Jewels.
For about a month, I woke up suddenly one day, and I felt awakened. I saw my time passing so fast. I hardly went out for a whole month, and I ate casually.Although it has not yet reached the kind of fixed position where you don't know the taste of meat in March.But it was true that the whole mind was inside, and suddenly there was a feeling of fear, an emotion came up... It's over... My whole person has changed!
How did it change? It changed to what I did every day, the things I did at that time, and the things I did every day. I actually forgot everything. The mood at the time was really a bit scared! What are you afraid of? As soon as I walked out, people regarded me as a neurotic! It seemed that I was different from the people in society, and I felt a panic in my heart. Then of course my pace slowed down.In the situation at that time, after studying for a few years, I went to the mainland and visited a lot of good knowledge. I also asked them, and they said it was a pity.If you fell into it at that time, it would take less than a year to recite Buddhism and samādhi, and you might have hope and devote yourself!
So when we learn this method, whether you are an old practitioner or a novice, equal cultivation causes and equal achievements depend on when you can enter into it.Therefore, this time our five-day Fa conference is possible anytime, anywhere in the moment, and we are confident that we will graduate and be confident that we will be reborn as a Buddha in this life. This is not a word of encouragement. This is to say the truth!

(XNUMX) A large number of magic weapons in circulation
Then I found out that this was not possible, and there was no target at the time, so I could ask about that level, so I started to slow down.Then I contacted the Jingmeihua Collection Library in Taipei, which was very early or about 15 years ago, contacted the master there, and then started to circulate the old monk’s magic weapons.I borrowed money to do charity. I borrowed money to buy a house with a loan. I bought the house and owed the bank money! Then I kept a little by myself. Fortunately, a relative in our family is very good at managing the accounts, and he takes my money. The remaining money will go to a fair, so the interest is very high.I don’t have to worry about this. There is no problem in my life every month. I have devoted three whole years to circulate the magic weapons of the old monks wholeheartedly. Of course, I have seen almost all the magic weapons that the old monks circulated during that period.
So when I circulate, I also circulate a lot, not just at one point, we set up a distribution agency ourselves, and I drove around to find good points, like Carrefour hypermarkets.I have borrowed a large window from them. When the magic weapon is released, there are thousands of people coming in and out every day, and the circulation is very large. I remember the most points, probably eight or nine, nearly ten points.I'm busy with these things every day, going in and out, and even devoting myself to teaching children to read the scriptures for a week, and it's great to give a class.
That’s why the first-time heartfelt feeling is really strong! I often dream of the old monk sometimes.To the old monk, we are not attached to this person, but are grateful for his introduction! Let us encounter such a good law, so we all dreamed: dreaming... just happened to have a bad person wanting to shoot him...because this society is very chaotic... Then I dreamed that I would run forward, using my body to block the gun and block the bullet! Similar dreams often occur...when I was a beginner.Therefore, for beginners, people say that it is more than just becoming a Buddha at the beginning! If we can maintain this kind of mood for the Three Jewels, that's terrible! All of them can be born at the same time.

(XNUMX) Not seeing the teacher past
At the same time, I also made a wish in my heart, if there is a cause and destiny, let me have the opportunity to get close to our old monks to learn, hoping that the Three Treasures will bless me and not let me see the fault of the teacher.I hope my respect for the teacher can be maintained forever.Of course, after listening to the scriptures for two or three years and knowing the teachings of the old monk, we will never see the fault of the teacher.Real cultivators, real cultivators have never seen the world, let alone a teacher who is kind to us! So it is good that 15 years now, I have never dared to look at the fault of the teacher.
If there are really some minor problems, of course it is impossible to be perfect based on the values of the people of this world and the ordinary people.That is our own uncleanness, but at that moment, it may be because of the relationship between making a wish. Even if the old monk sometimes scolds people, I still think it looks good.So we can make a wish first, and absolutely must be respectful to the Three Jewels! Especially the teachers who are kind to us, and even everyone around us.Both good and evil knowledge are good to us.This is called reporting the fourfold grace.
What kind of grace is this fourfold grace? The grace of the country, the grace of parents, the grace of teachers, and the grace of sentient beings.All the good times and bad times are all accomplishing us.So if we take these good times and treat these benefactors as enemies, it will be miserable! Not only are we ungrateful, but our inner troubles are getting worse and worse.Then there is no way for us to benefit from practice, so it is really very grateful to our teacher, our old monk to have this opportunity, let me have this karma to contact, the most complete pure land method, the realm of our pure land method is really tallest.

(XNUMX) Five hundred Zen disciples retreat to Zen
In the past, there was a head of the Bodhisattva Sangha, a layman, who has now passed away in Taiwan.He led a group of bodhisattvas who participated in Zen and enjoyed an international status. They also received considerable attention in the Buddhist world in Taiwan. Some of his Zen disciples who followed him were also very good, and very loyal and very loyal. Respect and love him as a teacher.Before he died, he actually began to slowly guide his students to study the Pure Land.Then before they die, I ask them to obey his will and obey his will.So on the same day, all of the disciples who followed him to practice meditation, five hundred people at the same time turned to the Pure Land Dharma and studied in the Pure Land Dharma.
Of course, this is all because of the respect and love for the teacher, because people who usually go to Zen do not look down upon the practice of Buddhism.Fundamentally, it is also the foundation of great disagreement, so they trust the teacher completely, and the teacher is a kind of guilty feeling towards them, and is responsible for their students.His teacher deeply believed that in the end of the Dharma, only the Pure Land Method can be achieved, and he came to the conclusion of this experience through his years of meditation practice.
Many people think that he is a fully enlightened person. I don't know this, because I don't know him, and I can't see it because I don't have a complete enlightenment.But it is true that from his quotations, I have seen some of his aspirations, his changing aspirations.This person is very courageous, really like the kind of Zen that is completely Zen, the kind of reckless style of Zen and son.He not only entrusted his students to study in the Pure Land Method, but at the same time ordered him to destroy all the writings on Zen in the past.It’s really Zen, this Zen and son's style to do it so thoroughly and let it down cleanly. It really doesn't take away a cloud with a wave of your hand.
Well, I once saw in his works that this work was not easy to come by. This is a collector's edition secretly cherished by some of his big disciples around him.Then I saw that there was a description in him, which was what he said in the realm after enlightenment.He summarized the entire Buddhism, used very simple, and used age to determine its realm. He said: "The Agama Sutra" is 20 years old, the Hinayana scriptures that we know, and the four Agamas.Prajna Sutras are also "Diamond Sutras" and "Heart Sutras". This type of Prajna sutras that talk about emptiness, the Blessed One spent 22 years talking about Prajna sutras. Then this great virtue said: "Prajna Sutras" are 30 years old.So 【Zen Buddhism】40.Strange! How can Zen be at the level of forty years old! This wisdom at forty years old.So 【Esoteric Buddhism】XNUMX, 【Pure Land】XNUMX.This is a real understanding, at least everyone thinks so, but his level is really not low.He really understood the truth, at least what he said after understanding the teachings.
Therefore, in this method of ours, the only people who can truly believe in the truth are those who gain the roots and benefit the wisdom or the fools.Indeed... Either you really have a way to understand the teachings of the various sects, and then you can see the clues.Because our Pure Land Method is that only Buddha and Buddha can know!

(XNUMX) After enlightenment of Zen Buddhism, you still have to practice
So why is Zen only forty years old? Generally, we think that Zen Zen is of a high standard, high-style, and very standard people like to participate in Zen. Intellectuals...They think that chanting Buddhism is an old man’s, very tacky, and it’s a kind of superstition. Faith.This is a general misunderstanding, so why do you say Zen? In fact, Zen is very deep, and Zen is the mind of the Buddha! Of course the mind of the Buddha is deep. The problem is that the Buddha mind it talks about is logically speaking, it understands the mind and sees the nature. Seeing the mind of the Buddha, seeing the self-nature into emptiness.This is of course very deep. The problem is that we also know that Zen is to... but also to cultivate after enlightenment, so he has to start after seeing the nature, and then start to practice. This view is only to achieve his fundamental wisdom, and furthermore. Spend the three great almsgivings, and slowly cultivate and gain wisdom. In other words, it can only attain the fruition status of an Arahant.
So in fact, as far as this realm is concerned, as far as the entire realm of Buddhism is concerned, it is only a real entry into the void.This is really the real entrance to the empty door, through the empty door, and into the realm of the Buddha.But this Buddha is judged from the rooftops: Zang, Tong, Die, and Yuan. There are four different degrees of Buddha. This is the lowest Buddha of the lowest realm. Then this is not the ultimate Buddha. After all, the Buddha is the Yuanjiao Buddha. We Amitabha. It is Yuanjiao Buddha! The highest level.Because starting from the understanding of the mind and nature, it takes three three aksangs to practice the path of the bodhisattva, and to cultivate the six degrees of ten thousand actions, in a state of three-wheel body emptiness, because he has entered emptiness, so at this time he cultivates The bit by bit is indeed a real merit.But you have to reach Consummation. What this Huayan meeting talks about: ten dwellings, ten elements, ten directions, ten places, waiting for enlightenment...until attaining the Buddha's Miao Enlightenment, the three great A Sangsang cannot escape from the robbery, and even countless. Robbery.

(XNUMX) Pure Land Buddhism is now being a Buddha when he recites
And when our Pure Land Method directly recites the Buddha, where is our realm? It is the realm after the Arahant has to cultivate Immeasurable Calamity, which is incredible! That is, the realm of perfecting the Buddha and perfecting the Buddha.Why? The Pure Land Method does not rely on our own practice, but directly corresponds to Amitabha's fruit and becomes one with Him.As complete as Amitabha Buddha is, we are as complete as we are now.This one is an extraordinary cause and effect, very incredible! You can become a Buddha without cultivating! If it really depends on us to cultivate, then we can’t do anything about it. I think we may have to fall into the three evil ways in our next life. ! This opportunity is very big! Not to mention the cultivation of immeasurable karma after enlightenment.
Therefore, the realm of the Pure Land Method, the great virtue said it is the most complete at the age of sixty! It is because it is not an ordinary cause and effect. An ordinary cause and effect first cultivates the cause and then obtains the effect. By maintaining the precepts and practicing concentration, you can gain wisdom, step by step. ! This is relying on one's own strength-first cause and consequence.But our Pure Land Method is completely complete, and it is not understandable by the concept of human beings in the world. It is the simultaneous cause and effect.So our Pure Land School is also called "Lian Zong". This is a metaphor based on the characteristics of the lotus. When the lotus blooms, the lotus seeds have already formed at that moment.Therefore, when the cause and effect are at the same time, the state of the cause and effect at the same time is the Buddha's Dharma realm, and the causal form of the Buddha Dharma realm is the simultaneous cause and effect.
So when we recite the Buddha right now, we should recite the Buddha one by one, and recite the Buddha accordingly! If we know how to recite this Buddha name, we are now being a Buddha! Don’t have to cultivate slowly by ourselves, it’s incredible! It’s amazing! It’s amazing! !

Then the great virtue said that Tantra is fifty years old, and Tantra is also very wonderful, and it is also at the same time of cause and effect.So it has a visualization deity, and I am a Buddha right now! What does this sentence mean? Keep it low-key? Ok! Then I don’t want to talk about it during my training. I don’t want to say that I’m already a master studying Confucianism, and then I can teach the Scriptures outside. Don’t say that I specialize in Pure Land, anyway. Don't talk about it all.
If you don’t talk about it, it’s unclear. Many old practices in there are going to fix me, but because the precepts there are very strict, and their kind of interaction between the same parameters is really for the law and interacting with each other according to the standards of the precepts. Achievement, so we have nothing to say.They also came here anyway, so in that process, it really made me grow a lot, not only the physical toil, but I have never suffered from my childhood. I know at a glance that my hands have no power to bind a chicken. Type, but during that process, I got a great improvement both physically and mentally.The first time I tasted the taste of a practitioner, it was there, and my past studies were very smooth.Our Pure Land Method is the method of peace and happiness, and encountering the old monk is a great blessing, so I have never suffered.This is the best arrangement Buddha and Bodhisattva gave me.

I have two consecutive days...I can't bear it for two days if I don't have enough physical strength.
But I finally got through it. Later, after taking the precepts, I was free to become a grown-up! After I took the precepts continuously, I went back for three years. , To learn the precepts, the most important thing is to get close to Master.So in the first year or two, I followed the rules, and it was very hard.The niche precepts are very strict, you have to do whatever you have in your generation.
In the third year, I can get close to the (old) Master and stay by my side for two hours every day before the rewards are finally realized.This is impossible in the jungle, because the precepts of men and women are very strict, so in that one...three, in the third year of Jie Xia’s residence for three months, there are two hours a day to get close to him, that pair My influence is too great.Therefore, the old Master Shengyi is the same as my second parent.
