(XNUMX) Listening to the scriptures and teachings, don’t cling to the words to distinguish
Dear president, benevolent, and honorable fellow practitioners, good evening everyone! Amitabha!
Yesterday we learned a lot of theories about the Pure Land Method. These contents are very unfamiliar to fellow practitioners. It is not my personal performance. It is because of the commentary on the "Guanjing" by Master Shandao. Some of these contents are all his own. This is the vow made by Amitabha Buddha's reappearance. The only thing to do in his life is to set the past and the present.It is necessary to correct the mistakes or incompleteness of other patriarchs regarding the Pure Land Method, and make a very large correction for their teachings from different angles.
Well, this correction, the contents of us... fellow practitioners may feel that there will be a big difference. For example, Tiantai Sect says that we can only be born to the land where the sages live together, but Master Shandao told us that we can be born to the land. Moreover, there is no four soils in the Pure Land of Elysium. The difference is really big. In fact, in terms of the situation, because we have learned the technique of teaching the scriptures and spreading the Dharma... we can better grasp the techniques used, in terms of words. As long as.. Just like Zen, as long as it has a form, whether it is text or language, then the content it exerts must not be able to express the state of emptiness satisfactorily.
Then the Pure Land Method is not only the harmony of the directors, but also the entire four unobstructed realms of the Huayan Sutra. It even transcends emptiness, which is indescribable and incomprehensible. Therefore, as long as there is something to say, it is No matter, there is no right or wrong. It is just for the sake of opportunity. Therefore, the Fa has no fixed method. When listening to the Fa, fellow practitioners must not be obsessed with distinguishing between right and wrong in words. Having this kind of discrimination is itself a mistake. Concept.The law is medicine, and what is used to cure a disease is good medicine as long as it can cure the disease.Everyone should be clear about this concept, and don't stick to it separately.

(XNUMX) The pure land thought passed down by the patriarch of Jingzong is divided into three main schools
So especially the content of "Guan Jing", this sutra is really difficult to explain, just to be masterful, I have worked on it for three years, not dare to talk about mastery, I will finish it, and inherit it from this whole. . Nagarjuna, Tianqin Bodhisattva, Tanluan Patriarch, Dao Chuo Zen Master to Master Shandao... The whole thought is systematic, and each Patriarch has his masterpiece and inherited. The so-called thought is to accumulate a lot of content and become one Only with systematic things can it be called a kind of thought, a mainstream.
Well, I just said that this inheritance is based on the history of Chinese Buddhism. The academic circles are analyzing this thought very carefully. Therefore, the pure land thoughts of our Chinese patriarchs and thirteen patriarchs are divided into three major schools. They are different! " "Hui Yuanliu" is purely self-reliant. People's root nature is so beneficial. It is okay for him to practice morality, concentration and wisdom. He can cultivate that root nature at that time. It can't be said that he is wrong! "Compassion and miracle flow" means two powers from him, half and half. Half believe in the Buddha, half believe in the Buddha, and half have to rely on oneself to be more secure. This kind of rooted person, and the great virtue of the Patriarch, he may teach all sentient beings himself.There is no attachment, but he does it for...because you have to have a very clear position in terms of things, in order to have the opportunity of all beings at that time.
For example, Yongming Yanshou, he is also the Amitabha Buddha who will come again, but what he advocates is the double cultivation of Zen and pure, ah.. Isn't the pure land method important to specialize?Why does he advocate meditation and purification? Because most of the people at that time liked to go to Zen and looked down on the Pure Land.You ask him to cultivate the Pure Land directly again. It was impossible at that time, so he was skillful and convenient. That's okay. You practice your meditation, and finally go back to it, so he advocates meditation and purification.From the perspective of propagating the Dharma, we can especially understand that he may not have attachments in his heart. He will not recognize that you must practice meditation and purification as the most standard. But for the benefit of the sentient beings at the time, he will do a different one... A way to promote.
The reasoning is the same, whether Master Yinguang, old monk, or every patriarch’s great virtue, he is based on his own willingness, the fate of his own time, objective conditions, and various factors. He will set a way and a key point for advocating and enlightening, but it doesn't mean... For example, the old monk often attaches importance to the "Blessed Life Sutra", and does not mean that he rejects other sutras.We should not delineate it so clearly. Besides, we must not be attached to the principles of the Pure Land Method, because the principles of the Pure Land Method we just talked about are ineffable. The text is wrong, because it is the realm of a pure Buddha, so it is convenient to say something. There is no right or wrong, but it is not corresponding. Whether you can benefit from it is the most important thing.

(Three) The three generations and nine products are different in encounters
Well, yesterday we talked about some theories. I have studied for three years and combined a few key points. So this is the tip of the iceberg. Fellow practitioners should not think "Oh, that's the same thing." No!Unless you are a person with great enlightenment and you have six magical powers, then don’t say that after listening to one, you will know everything in a second. The problem is that we are none of them, so we must have an attitude in learning things. Objective and calm, I just see, listen, and feel attentively. It’s fine if I don’t correspond to me. Don’t draw conclusions right away. This is an obstacle to yourself and will block the use of your wisdom. , You are not objective enough, what we see is just the tip of the iceberg.
So yesterday, I tried my best to hurry up and talk about some key points quickly, but because I really have to make it clear...how the three-year stuff can be explained in XNUMX minutes, so I’m afraid that I’m not clear about it. This has caused a misunderstanding, but If these points are not mentioned, then everyone will waste time in this lecture, because it is a pity that the opportunity for such a lecture is not so easy. Although our fellow practitioners often get great rewards here, and there are masters who come to promote the Dharma. However, as far as my personal fate is concerned, I will retreat soon, and there may not necessarily be a chance. This is what I have been saying last year, so the fate should gradually mature, so I am afraid that someone will talk to you about this range of opportunities. There are very few, so I also do my best to grasp the moment and do what I need to do well, so yesterday was very... just a lot of time, and I used this one in the theory.Today we can relax a little bit. Yesterday, a little girl told me that she didn’t understand, but only remembered that I went to Bliss... I wanted to go to Bliss because I didn’t need to wash the dishes there, I only remembered this sentence. , So I have to tell her some stories today, she is also very hard to be my waiter.
Well, we have to help fellow practitioners to recall the key points we talked about yesterday. It’s okay if you don’t understand the truth. You don’t have to work on it for three years. You just close the door every day for this "Four Tie Shu". Work hard in hours. It takes at least a year to finish and read very clearly, so don’t underestimate it! Then, it’s okay if we don’t understand the truth of the key points we talked about yesterday. You have to know that there is such a thing and what is going on. What? Master Shandao told us: The three generations and nine grades are for meeting fate, all of which are for ordinary people.In the past, other patriarchs told us that the top grade is a great bodhisattva, the middle grade is an Arahant, and we are at best a low grade.It's not right and inconsistent with what the "Guan Jing" says. The lower grades of "Guan Jing" are all evil-makers, we don't have to be so evil, are we!?
So this is what Master Shandao told us. It’s nothing to do with me. I am a person who has no cultivation, no virtue and no weight. You must listen to Master Shandao. The three generations and nine grades are all for ordinary people, and we...he The reason why there are three generations of Nine Stages is due to the difference in encounters, and we meet ordinary people... We meet ordinary people such as Mahayana, and this upper generation has a share of the three ranks.At least we have to know that there is such a thing, whether we accept it or believe it or not, it depends on the individual's good roots, but since we have listened to the class, we know that there is such a thing, and you should slowly understand it.

(XNUMX) The Western Paradise is pure retribution
So the second important point is that we can go straight to the retribution in our lives. Why?Because in fact, the world of bliss is purely retributing the soil, it does not divide into four soils. The difference in the tastes of the nine products is that the difference lies in the fact that you can’t see the Buddha immediately, and all of them are born in the retribution, but because of him I didn’t see the Buddha in the bud, it was as if I hadn’t entered the land. It seemed that I was born in the frontier land. The frontier land and the fetus in this talk belong to the lotus.
Think about it, the Sutra tells us everywhere that the world of bliss is based on the ten worlds. How can there be a side land outside the ten worlds? Of course, it is in the same pure land of the report. There is only one land. There are no four soils, four soils are convenient to say, because Tiantai Sect likes to divide it very finely. It is so convenient for others.But the Pure Land Method is a mellow and unobstructed world. Therefore, according to what this master master said is truthful, the most complete is not convenient. We should know about this, and it will be fine if we know this.
You see, like the Tiantai family's sentence on the four soils, we can only live in the land where the mortal sages live together, but the sect of the knowledge only speaks differently. It says that all ordinary people can't die.So each school has its own teachings. Let’s not cling to it and say, "Oh...this is right and that is right." Who dares to say that this is right and that is right? They are all arguing about the great virtues of the Patriarch, and they have their own opinions. People are so good-minded and we are not yet enlightened. Do we dare to say anything right or wrong?That's easy.. It hinders one's own learning.

(XNUMX) The Pure Land Method is an unbelievable method
In fact, this method is inherently hard to believe. It does not mean that it is easy to believe after a few days of listening. The more we study, the more we know that this belief is not easy. If it is not for our good roots, it is very deep, it is really difficult and difficult, let’s see. Looking at this, if you know more scholars in academia, you will know that their roots of suspicion are very heavy. Unlike us, which have good roots, we can already have good roots when we can recite Buddhism, but we must truly believe it, and believe it until we are moved and firm in our hearts. Do not move, feel secure, and really feel dependent. If you believe in Amitabha, you trust him, you will feel secure. It is not easy to believe in your heart. This requires us to have a deep root of goodness.
Therefore, we must not be negligent. We must help ourselves for a long time to work hard on faith and wishes. Don’t think that you have cultivated very well. Master Yin Guang told us that he has a lecture that is very clear so that we can Speaking of vigilance, he said: "However, this method is very unpredictable. Although the Buddhist teachers have exchanged and persuaded, there are still many doubters in the world. Not only is Shizhi unbelievers, he has a deep understanding of religion, Hesitate or doubt it. Not only is knowledge unbelief, that is, the true meaning has been proved, the karma is full of emptiness, hearing the sense of origin, hesitate or doubt it. Not only the little sage does not believe, that is, the bodhisattva of power, hesitate or doubt it. That is, although the Dharmakaya can believe in truth , It is not yet thorough. The method of Liang is to use fruit consciousness as the cause and mind. All are the realm of Buddha. Only the Buddha and the Buddha can know the truth, not the other people’s wisdom. I believe in the ordinary people. The Buddha’s words, if you follow the teachings, are self-beneficial. If you don’t think about this method, you will have many tribulations and deep roots of goodness.
In this passage, Master Yinguang gave us an example and explained clearly how difficult this method is to believe. Seeing that we have repeatedly mentioned it in the past two days, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas continue to persuade us to believe in this method, but the world’s people I’m still skeptical. It’s useless even if the Buddha came to persuade me. How could it be that easy. I really thought I believed it. It’s not so easy. I believe it. So the key to studying "Guan Sutra" lies in this sincerity. The connotation of the eighteenth vow of the "Blessed Life Sutra" is the same.
However, it emphasizes that sincerity is this sincerity, so that it can be born at the top grade or top grade. If you have a high grade, it is the condition of unchanging faith, but you must be very sincere and sincere, so these two.. XNUMX wishes are three-hearted. When you look up, your realm can be improved. How can you improve your taste? Emphasize not only faith in wishes but also true faith in true wishes. This true quality must be continuously improved. Don't be negligent. You see this bodhisattva, the predestined relationship between sound and hearing. They felt that the Arahants couldn't really believe it.
The Great Bodhisattva can believe but is not final, so we smell this method, it is normal not to believe, the master said that we can hear this method today, do not think about the method, it is exhausted and planted a very deep root of goodness. But it’s not that simple if you want to be truly able to believe and receive. It’s not easy to be able to hear. Therefore, a person who can truly believe and receive, who has a deep root of goodness, can accept it at the first hearing. This is a difficult place, the Pure Land Method. You don’t have to practice on your own, it’s hard to believe, it’s really hard to believe.
Therefore, it’s easy for everyone to neglect, because it’s too simple and there is no special theory, so you feel that you have cultivated well, and seem to be able to master some theoretical methods of the Pure Land Method. In fact, the more we learn...the more we learn, but we don’t know enough. Confucius also said that the more you learn, the more you can feel it. Wow, it’s really not that simple. People who don’t learn will think, "Eh...it’s almost done, you can graduate. It’s just like this anyway." That feeling anyway. Ah, it is the feeling that we distinguish with the three poisonous trouble consciousnesses, that is unreliable.

(XNUMX) Unable to believe one's own opinions before becoming an Arahant
How reliable is it?If you want to really get into your heart, the most complete thing is to achieve immortal forbearance, that is, to believe in forbearance, joy forbearance, and forbearance. If you have entered this, you know in your heart that the faith in your heart also has love and comprehension. That is very real, very strong, and very deep. This kind of belief will not retreat. You deeply believe that you can definitely die, and the Buddha will never abandon us. You have that sense of confirmation in your heart, this Only then can you say that you are sure, and you really won't retreat, as long as you get into this realm, you won't retreat.
Then, let’s ask ourselves if we feel this way. We need to feel it psychologically. Our human heart is changeable. Maybe today we feel confident, but after a few days, we feel unconfident. Then today we feel: 吔 is very happy. Believe, it’s wrong to doubt it another day, this is our ordinary people, we ordinary people are so uncertain, then this is the trait of our ordinary people, of course we can’t believe in ourselves, even when we doubt, you can’t Believe that our suspicion is correct.
So in short, we can’t ignore it. Why did we say that Master Shandao pointed out to us yesterday that we should always realize that we are sinful, life and death ordinary people, such sinful and ignorant beings. Can we believe our own opinions?The great virtue of the Patriarch also said that an Arahant cannot believe his own opinions, so he can't be negligent, and he can't use his own opinions to determine his own degree and to determine this method. Then we are often stuck in that place.
This is the so-called attachment. It’s not going up or down. In fact, if you improve, you will fall without knowing it. You will retreat. It’s just that you can’t detect it. It’s either right view or wrong view. It’s either advancing or retreating. It is inconstant and dynamic. It cannot remain in a state. The immovable realm is a real world, and all ten realms are moving. Therefore, if we do not advance, we must retreat. We must remind ourselves that we should not be negligent. Satisfaction, you can't cling to your own confidence.

My faith is false and unstable. We must continue to cultivate to strengthen our faith and aspirations, and make this true faith and aspiration deeper, so deep that you truly feel that you are absolutely sure of your death, then you You can just graduate. When you really feel it, you will be very happy every day, because that realm is faith, forbearance, and forbearance. No matter how great adversity you encounter, you will not be afraid and will not retreat. If you lose your confidence, you won't lose your confidence in this method, and you won't be troubled.
Because you know that the world has always been like this anyway, I will soon go to the Paradise of Bliss, so I don’t care about anything. When we can truly have faith in rebirth, it’s true that everything is not worth keeping in mind, and I will feel that I am very grateful and contented, and finally we can be freed. We have been able to complete this big thing. How lucky we are, this is enough. Everything... can die, everything is gained, nothing is missing, you will still What to care about?
So every day I live like a world of bliss, what adversity?That’s not important anymore. The external environment is always changing and it is fake. Good times and adversities are fake. It’s not worth keeping in mind. The only thing we need to strengthen, especially when we haven’t reached this realm. If you keep going in this direction, you must make yourself feel at ease and have confidence in your death. At that time, your performance is not only the sense of relief just mentioned, but you will also become more and more specialized in your behavior.

So I really want to let go of my luck now. Many things have been talked about since last year. The place where I should talk about the connection is almost the same, and I also saved the CD. I can.. It’s superfluous to continue, but I can talk about it. I don't want to talk about it, so I can leave as soon as I can. This is a natural state of mind, because there is nothing more perfect and superior than meditation on the Buddha.Unless I can't run away, so I'm fine now, but I am going to look for someone to be the abbot of this dojo next.
The old monk said that if you want to kill someone, you should ask him to be the abbot, because this one won’t run away. Fortunately, I haven’t yet.. Not really. Next, I’m just.. Although all the management rights are still there. I have it in my hand, but I can put it all out.. You can put it all out to those who are predestined, because I have different personal wishes and different abilities. I have only one wish. Being able to live in peace and recite the Buddha is the greatest happiness. Being able to run and run quickly, this is Real karma, what you are creating every minute of your mind is real karma.
We don’t see those things in the world in our eyes, and we give them to those who are predestined to do it, so if we truly fit into this state, your behavior will change, you will show it, you will really see through and let it go, and then...unless you Can’t run away, your cause and fate.. You have a family, and you can’t leave the house alone. Once you leave, you have your responsibility. Then you must let go of your heart first, and then you will definitely be able to act. If you cut off evil and cultivate goodness, you will find time to recite the Buddha. You can’t get out of the world, you can’t become a monk, you can’t hide in the mountains and work hard, but you will try to find time to recite Buddha, and you don’t want to do the world’s karma again. This is true belief. You really see through the way you put it down.Then if you don’t have the blessing power of the Buddha in your heart, and you have not aroused true faith and desire, you will not change like this. Even if people force you to persuade you every day, you can’t change it. You still do your work and rest every day. There hasn't been much change, so we asked ourselves whether we have changed our work and rest after listening to the scriptures and the Fa? Has it improved more and more?
And sincerely, it’s not like saying, "Oh, this next door comes to accompany me every day to practise together, I am embarrassed not to go." Then this is not a big deal, or it is to be shown to others to make people think that I am very Work hard, I am a good person, this is all fake, I do superficial work, I want to like to do this thing more and more from the bottom of my heart, what is it?Except that listening to the scriptures is to recite the Buddha, nothing else is important. This is the most correct one. You must die, and you can have a high grade.
Well, I personally have another goal for this body. I hope I can try my best to die without disease. Because it is...but it is difficult to talk about it. We dare not talk too much, because the pollution is too serious now, so try to focus on the health of this body. Exercise in order to give everyone a good look, because nine out of ten people who die now are sick, not cancer, or what kind of tumors here, a lot of them, but they can also die, and after they die, they are still sick. Ruixiang is very good, but it is always a little unsatisfactory.
So even if we have to foresee the time coming, and then we have to die without disease, this is something we can do, but in terms of our body, physical health has the cause and effect of physical health. In addition to reciting the Buddha honestly and the blessing of the Buddha, We have to adjust our diet and living habits. If this is the case, it is really good for the body and mind every day. On this day, we can change and adjust ourselves. It’s not that you listen to the scriptures so much, and the result is not much change. There is not much change in behavior, and this Fa cannot really enter your mind. No matter how much you listen to it, it’s useless. It just creates an illusion: Well, you’re cultivating better and better now, and you’re cultivating old, these principles On the contrary, it becomes a barrier to knowledge, and it is dangerous to become a resource for growth arrogance.

(XNUMX) Believe in Buddhism with one heart, and decide to follow suit regardless of life and fate
Okay, then let’s continue to learn the teachings of this master of conviction: “Those who believe in again, hope that all practitioners, etc., believe only in the language of the Buddha, regardless of life and fate, decide to follow. The Buddha who sends the home is to give up, and the Buddha who sends the practitioner is to do. The Buddha is sent to wherever he goes. It is the name of following Buddhism, following the will of the Buddha, the name following the wishes of the Buddha, and the disciple of the true Buddha."
Well, this paragraph is Master Shandao, who taught us what true faith is and how to truly believe.The master told us to "believe in the language of Buddhism with one mind." To what extent?We decided to follow our lives regardless of our lives, you see, as soon as the master tells us, we are very ashamed, do we not care about our lives?The difference is too far. If you truly believe in the Buddha, and truly believe in the words of the Buddha, what does the Buddha tell us?Nothing is important in this world, only chanting for survival is the most important thing.
If we really listened to it, you would really disregard life. Life can be dispensed with. There is something that can hinder us. It can make us craving, let us pursue it, and lead us to create this total karma. , But we have not really believed in the Buddhist language, so there has not been much change, let alone recklessness.There is something today. The relatives and friends of the family have made an appointment to have a gathering, ah... you immediately give up the opportunity to listen to the scriptures, and the opportunity to recite the Buddha.
Such a small reason can change our hard work or schedule, so do we believe it?Nothing!We are not obedient at all, we are not good students, are we sinful life and death ordinary people? Not too much. Master Hongyi said that he is sinful life and death ordinary people, and he is a man of strict discipline throughout his life. Master Shandao is an enlightened person. What is the reason?It is the blessing of Buddha power. This Buddha, the Buddha’s willingness and compassion enter our hearts, and we have power. You naturally like to recite Buddha, and then unconsciously, this Buddha chanting is not for practicing Kungfu. , How much do I have to practice before I can die? There is no pressure at all, but what do you do if you don’t recite the Buddha? What do you think you are.. There is nothing more interesting and enjoyable than reciting the Buddha, so it’s strange that you don’t have to recite the Buddha and Samadhi. You can recite the Buddha Samadhi in three years.If you are a monk, you don’t want to be a nun. Our method is the three-general quilt.

Although his rationale is already very high and profound, but it is still not final, so can you believe it?We can't believe it, because we are going to the land of the Buddha. We can only believe in the realm that the Buddha talks about. Whatever we do in Buddhism, we do what we do.
This is not easy. Today, there is a great monk who has a great virtue. Someone who has cultivated well has come to persuade you and tell you some great principles. You are immediately shaken. People have cultivated so well, and everyone says that he has cultivated well. There are magical powers, it's strange that you are not affected by him.But even if he really cultivates so well, he is still a bodhisattva, not necessarily in the realm of a Buddha, so he can't believe it. Do you think we have this kind of concentration?There is only one kind of person, that is, we really get into the realm of inanimate law-forbearance, which is the realm of ordinary believers.
You really feel in your heart that you have confidence in Amitabha, and you really have dharma happiness. You get a lot of benefits, and your heart is stable. You realize that only Amitabha can save me, and we have no way to go, and so on. At that time, no one will persuade you to be affected. This is true belief. If you enter this realm, it is really useless before the Great Bodhisattva comes. What will happen to us before the Great Bodhisattva? You are right. But you don't fit my roots. I already have a way to reach Consummation very safely.
So I don’t need anything anymore. I don’t need anything anymore. No matter how good we are, then we will put our hands together and admire and rejoice, and we will not be affected at all. It does not mean that there must be one that is right, and the other is wrong, no! So the heavier our karma, the more we must save Amitabha first. If you feel that your karma is very heavy, then congratulations. You are the one who crashed. Amitabha must save you first when he comes. Of course you are about to drown. Save you, this is a method of salvation, a special method, so only five of the forty-eight vows are issued for the Bodhisattva. They are placed at the end. They all have the meaning of expressing the Dharma, "first vow" and "second vow". "Wish" means "the country has no evil ways" and it is aimed at and includes the six realms of ordinary people, and the six realms of sentient beings.The more serious this sin is, the more he makes these wishes first, and all this can tell the clues.
So don’t worry about our bad karma and not being able to rebirth. We just need to turn this concept around. This is for our ordinary people with heavy karma, so we can realize how deeply Amitabha Buddha is connected with us, and he especially cares for us. No one of the Buddhas has issued this enticed salvation wish for us, only Amitabha has it. He has a special relationship with us, and our relationship with him is very deep.
If we really feel that Amitabha has a deep bond with us, you will feel that it is natural to die. He is like our father. He comes to us and it is natural that He gives us all the inheritance. Neither of them, as a couple, only exchanges their learning experience occasionally.
One day, this old lady told her...just to her husband, she said, "Oh last night, when I was meditating and chanting Buddha, I saw Amitabha." She said that she saw Amitabha's whole body shone with gold, and then Amitabha was just Asked her, "Do you want to go to Paradise?" She told her gently and kindly, and then she said, "Of course I do!" Amitabha said, "Well, let's go now, OK? As a result, when Amitabha Buddha talked about it, she had a thought in her heart and said: No, she still has a little daughter. This little daughter hasn’t got married yet, how can I relax! Only a thought was moved in her heart, Amitabha Buddha I knew I was laughing, I smiled and then disappeared immediately, and disappeared.
She talked about this realm with her husband, she talked about the old man, called him the old man, and then her husband talked about it... After listening to it, think about it: This is Amitabha, this manifestation is to tell us to see everything quickly. , I really have to let go of all destiny, not even a little trouble, so as to be able to die smoothly! One day this old lady came back from shopping for groceries. She was carrying a basket. She was lazy with the key and called for a long time. No one responded, no one came to open the door. No one, no one in the kitchen, she walked to the room to take a look, her husband... her husband, standing at the window and clasping his palms, and then he looked okay, as if sleeping... but there was nothing special. , She didn’t think about anything. Without thinking too much, she told him, “Come and help picking up vegetables.” She still yelled at him for a long time, but still didn’t respond. Later, she started to feel weird, so she looked at him. Oh, I seem to be asleep, but why do you want to sleep while standing? It was only three months, and she was chanting for three months. At this time, she was very nervous, and her heart seemed to be jumping out at first.

See if our old Bodhisattva walked here to die, see if he is in good health, there should be a few. When it comes to Consummation, it’s going to go back. When it’s time to run incense, I ran to the Paradise of Bliss. This is very special.
Then these people are very ordinary, very ordinary, there is no special effort, many such examples, in fact, we study these related evidence, we will find a very characteristic, these people are very honest, not very Smart people, those who are wise and intelligent, are often very sick, and even unable to die, there are a lot of illnesses, and a lot of unjust creditors.Even those who can die are... What kind of person is he?He is also an honest person, a very poor person, so go to the old monk Xuyun, the old monk does some work for him, at the time of his family.That’s because he was grateful. He did all these austerities, and he was very happy and grateful. The old monk taught him to recite the Buddha, so he would recite well, Nanwu Amitabha. He refused to go to school, but he couldn't help the old monk to succeed him, so he went out, and after he went out to study, he went around and said that he still wanted to come back to study the Buddha and do things for his permanent residence.
It has been around for ten or twenty years. At that time, his ordeal was already very high. I think we can accept apprentices for women in twelve years, and men for ten years, and for more than ten years, it’s a bhikkhu in the middle seat. Twenty years have been the Lord Bhikkhu, his status is already very high, but he still requires him to do all the chores, he is such a kind, such a down-to-earth and honest person, and one day when he is about to die, only the old monk Xuyun is the only one. I know, because the old monk Xuyun is a person with magical powers.
Then there was no tacit understanding between the two masters and apprentices. The old monk knew that he was going to die, and he didn’t say anything. He just told the old monk a fake, and then thanked the old monk for taking care of it. Well, I didn’t say that I was going to die like this, but the old monk knew that he was here to say goodbye, so he said, then you can do your business. He walked to his shack, and there was a vegetable garden outside and he sat there, dressed in good clothes, holding the chime, and then meditated. He died in such a posture. He was cremated with the real fire of Samadhi. After cremation, he still looked like It’s the same as a living person, all is the whole... He’s sitting, and the whole person is good, it doesn’t look like a dying, but these villagers at the foot of the mountain thought that the mountain was on fire, so it turned out that it was all the area near his squatter. Huoguang, because the villagers respect the old monk Xuyun, they want to say: Oh, the mountain is on fire, hurry up and put out the fire.As a result, all the people ran to this place of fire to see that he had passed away! For example, you obviously have a good intention, and you are helping someone, but he doesn’t believe you. Do you feel that it is insulting you, right? We don’t believe in others, it’s an insult to others, it’s disrespectful, let alone It’s a Buddha. If you say that humans are not worthy of belief, it’s fine. It’s a Buddha. Then you don’t dare to think about it. This is what the Buddha told us. It’s not on our own strength. It seems It seems to be very polite: "I have a lot of karma, so I dare not say that I can die." In fact, it has nothing to do with us. The key is that the Buddha has the ability to save us, and we have to believe that the reason why we think that we can die is Because we believe in Buddhism, it's not that we believe in ourselves very powerfully, so this is very important.
