(XNUMX) Master the essentials of correct practice
Good afternoon, all bodhisattvas, Amitabha!
I’m glad we met here again. About six days ago, we all learned a lesson together. I found that our fellow practitioners were really good at teaching. After I finished the lecture, I drove everyone to practice immediately. , What to fix?Everyone is very obedient to provide for the Master’s blessing, and then let me lead you to provide all the money that you all support to the dojo. With this kind of support, our abbot master will do it for us again. To make offerings to all sentient beings from the ten directions, so that these dojos can continue to operate, think about how great the merits are. So smart people, we are not only practicing Buddha.
This Buddha's name is Wan Dehong's name. What is Wan Dehong's name?It means to have infinite merits. We have to use this infinite merit. It is not only the mouth that must be practised to cultivate blessings and wisdom. Such a Buddhist person is a person who really understands the Buddha. Otherwise, why is it that he has been chanting for a long time and he is very serious. , But the troubles are still heavy. I asked everyone to ask questions in the last class. One of the fellow practitioners mentioned that the troubles continue every day. We need to find out where the reason is. That is, we have not grasped the main points in our practice. It's the same even when we recite the Buddha. How do we recite this Buddha's name?This part must be explained by the master. We must all learn with respect. After learning, we must be able to follow the instructions and do it in the correct way. Only in this way can we overcome our worries.
Of course, there is also the simplest way to die. It’s the easiest way to die. It is the easiest one to read the Buddha's name. If you practice in this way, all troubles can be subdued. The simplest question is, can we be honest?Ask ourselves, have we alleviated our worries when we have been reciting the Buddha for so long?If there is no relief, it means that we are not honest, and it is too difficult to be honest. Ordinary people are called ordinary people because they are not honest, right?So in fact, if we recite this Buddha name for a long time, there is still no way to subdue our troubles. We must not blame the Buddha for not working well, or blame this Buddha name for not having enough mana. We simply chant mantras and practice meditation. This is a big mistake. The reason is It is that we are not honest.If we can’t really recite this Buddha name, then we have to use another method, which is to learn how to correctly use the merits of this Buddha name in our lives, so that we can naturally subdue our troubles. Then what should we do in this part? Learning, of course, must be explained by the master, but most of us now don’t have too many magic weapons.
You see, the last time I came to Xiaogan in Wuhan. The first time I came here was four or five years ago. Our master abbot invited me here from Singapore very compassionately. He is also our senior. The abbot is also our senior. We are Singapore. The senior of the Dharma Propaganda Training Class invited me to come here among the seven Buddhas to talk to you, two hours a day. That was the first time I came, and this was the second time. I was very happy that time. There were more than XNUMX people among the Seven Buddhas. At that time, there was a shed outside. I heard that the shed was already burned. It doesn’t matter if the old one is gone or the new one comes, but it’s okay if the shed built by this shed is burned. It is also half less, which is troublesome. I just calculated it when I came back this time. I heard that today is the second day of the seventh Buddha, wow!How many people, less than sixty people, less than sixty people, wow~ how did the shed burn down and the people disappeared.
This situation is true. . .And I also listened to your master abbot. He said that we are now at the dojo, because this trip happened just when I came here seven days ago. This master recruited a volunteer conference, and many practitioners have it. There will be a hundred people. I heard that Master Let’s talk about the fact that many of our Fa-protection practitioners are not coming, and they are also reviewing the reasons. In fact, I saw that the number of people has dropped by more than half. Master said that our service is not good. Everyone should strengthen the service and simply take it. In fact, The master was too polite, so today I am going to add it for him, so that I will be a black face and talk more seriously.
Why do people run away?It's very simple. There are no more than two reasons. One is what Master said, alas!The staff in our dojo are really inadequate in service, bad attitude, and not enthusiastic enough. People will not be happy when they come. This is possible, and the other is that we practice, come here to recite the Buddha, and even participate in the Dharma. If you can or listen to the scriptures, you can’t get benefits if you’re not happy, and you can’t subdue your troubles, so you retreat, or you don’t have faith at all, and you don’t believe in the Dharma at all, so you miss the cause and condition of attaining salvation, this It's a pity, so this time, I saw this situation, and I was also very worried, worried about everyone, worried about your Dharmakaya and wisdom fate, so we have to say something directly and unceremoniously.
So where is this reason?Actually, the external environment is not the fundamental reason. The fundamental reason lies in ourselves. We should not blame others for any bad situation, and we should not blame the external environment. We must blame our own respect and respect. You don’t have enough Taoism. You read and listen to the sutras. Now there are many magic weapons and dojos. You are not respectful to the Master, and you don’t cherish the Dharma that much. Of course, you don’t cherish the sutras, of course you can’t understand no matter how much you listen to them, just listen to him. Will understand, right?If you are not respectful and you don't cherish, you will treat him like your family's mouth and nagging like you, just listen to it often, but don't hear it in your heart.
This time I came to find that I also visited the Big Buddha Temple. Four or five years ago, I did a lot of construction and I haven’t done a good job. On the contrary, our abbot Master has made great progress. He did not slack off. One temple is better than another. So it’s getting better and better. I visited the Big Buddha Temple and saw the circulating CDs there. It’s a monk master, so I’d like to come back. As long as there are magic weapons and masters teaching the Fa, I will definitely come and study with an open mind. Then I found that he was speaking well, and he was also a practitioner. Otherwise, our abbot would not circulate his magic weapon. I pray that he would come to give lectures to everyone. Later, I came back here to chat with fellow practitioners. I found that fellow practitioners said every time Not many people listen to the scriptures here this time, and fewer and fewer people listen to the scriptures. Of course, some fellow practitioners may not understand them, or they may not be happy after listening. This sometimes depends on fate.
But in a word, if we are to be able to study effectively and receive the blessings of Buddhism, first of all we must work hard on ourselves. We must never blame the outside world. We must take the initiative to cultivate refuge in the Three Jewels. This refuge is not There is only one ritual, which is to rely on and take refuge with all your heart and soul. Then the Buddha is not alive, and there is still a magic weapon. Who will explain this method?It’s a master, so if we are not able to learn, and the troubles are still heavy, we must rely on the master, we must convert to the master, to teach you the Buddha’s Dharma through the master, so that you can master the real method and teach it to you later. , First of all, you must establish respect for the master. What is respectfulness? You must follow the teachings. This is called respectfulness. If you don’t see the master, you don’t have to pay respect. You don’t have to be respectful when offering for blessing. Some people still want to say There are many kinds of mentality to climb the relationship. Those who are superficial can only repair a little blessing. The true respect is to be obedient. If you teach you to do one sentence, you will definitely be able to subdue your troubles immediately, and you will see results immediately.

(XNUMX) Respect is the foundation of Fa-study
If you haven’t changed in two or thirty years of practice, don’t talk about people who are stupid after two or thirty years, three years later. Look at those Prajna generals and kings fighting iron who are already the most stupid, and they don’t know the words. They are all three. Great achievements in the first year, this is a normal state, no matter how stupid people are, then all of us here seem to be clever and not so stupid, so how should the practice of Buddhism be?It should be that you are in the moment and you can benefit immediately. Then the magnitude of this benefit is different for each person, and each person's good roots are different, and some people are enlightened in the moment.
Wow!He has become a Buddha. He has become a Buddha in theory, like Master Hui Neng, the sixth ancestor. You have heard of it!This famous master, the great virtue of Zen Buddhism, received the benefits of the Dharma, but he heard people chant the Diamond Sutra at the moment. He grew his heart because he had no place to live, and he immediately became enlightened. He had never been in contact with Buddhism before, why did he immediately become enlightened? He can become a Buddha in theory and understand his mind. He didn't read any books.It is also more common to go to Buddhism to get close to Buddhism as a volunteer, and to get close to the Sambo more often. After one or two months, the temperament changes immediately, and he is very happy every day. If he is not happy, he can't come to the Sambo every day to volunteer. right?Then I can’t stand it. You get great Fa-joy in your heart. If you are happy every day, your body will become healthier and healthier. This is transformation.
Let me give another example. I teach on this Facebook. This is an Internet platform. We can’t receive Facebook in Mainland China. Just like our Weibo and similar Internet platforms, we An average of one to two hundred thousand people saw our posts in a week, and we shared our French. There were still a lot of fans. The average number of students who were brought to study was XNUMX to XNUMX people. This is to sign up before you can come in. I Everyone needs to know very well, so it’s like taking a class of students, so there are too many people to take care of. This class of students has been with me for three years, every day they check in, and every day they are very self-conscious and diligent to learn online. Now everyone All of you can preach the Dharma, very powerful, because all the magic weapons are taught to them, as long as they are obedient, they will not go wrong, without enlightenment, we are the messengers of Amitabha Buddha, without enlightenment, each of you can go to preach the Dharma, but this is also necessary After training.
In the first half of the year, you know how to make incense sticks every day. Do you know how to make incense sticks?Repair, hit this today and that tomorrow, wow!I’m very busy every day. Look at XNUMX or XNUMX students, one day a day, one day a day, and you’re busy throughout the month. Sometimes, some fellow practitioners have problems all day long and have karma. They are particularly heavy, but fortunately, they have a feature, because they are all actively signing up, not me to promote sales, alas!Learn how to study Buddhism and how to practice together. If this is the case, they may not cherish it. They signed up on their own initiative. In other words, they really want to come to learn respectfulness and Taoism, so they don’t swear.
Some people say that it’s okay to curse face-to-face on the Internet anyway, it seems to be nothing, but after a questionnaire survey, our classmates said that every time Master scolds someone, he trembles in front of the computer. It can be seen that it is no different from face-to-face. After such a training, everybody has changed for about half a year, and it will be almost the same. . .Then, because one of the teachings of our Pure Land Method is actually very simple, the difficulty lies in whether you believe it or not. After you believe it, in fact, you will soon grasp the whole teachings and theories. It is easy to understand and easy to enlighten, so you will do everything before and after. One year, the first half of the year is to cultivate respect, to temper his arrogance, and someone talks back to me. I silently talked back to him for half a year. Other fellow practitioners did not dare to act obediently. I didn’t have time to talk to you for these meaningless conversations. You come here to abide by the rules, so you can make rapid progress.
In the first half of the year, they temper these habits, because some people really want to learn. Unlike you who come to the dojo, which one does not want, which does not have good roots, which does not want to improve themselves, the problem is that they don’t know the way, everyone has it. There is no way to follow the rules of this dojo or the guidance of the master in his own thoughts. As for his habits, he usually listens to his own habits, and he is not used to listening to others, so he has no way to change, and there is no way to subdue his habits and troubles. , So we are not able to study today. It is in this place that the foundation is not well laid, that is, no one repairs you, but the old Bodhisattva is getting old and looks so compassionate, and the old people can’t do anything, so they can only treat you. It's just reasonable. If you really hit the board, everyone may faint. I have a heart attack and it will be troublesome, so probably no one dares to fight.
It’s not good for us to be masters, it’s not good to be masters or abbots. No one dares to beat or even scold them for fear of offending us. When we offend the master, I’ll go on stage and tell you the whole story. The world knows you, no one dares, so does the abbot. The abbot is very big. The people below are all other people. The people below are all apprentices. The grandson is a protector of the Fa. No one dares to scold the abbot, so like us. It’s hard to practice, it’s hard to see our own faults and then correct them. I am very conscious, so when someone is willing to tell us about our own habitual faults, or when we listen to the scriptures and the Fa, our own awareness must be sufficient. Don't hear the bad things right away, alas!The master did not speak well. I did not like to hear what I said. If you like to listen, you will not improve. You are just in your realm. The level is that way. You just want to talk about something you listen to. It seems to understand but not understand, or it means listening, no, it is not very similar to your usual habits, but it is good for you, then you humbly accept it, because although there is a little difficulty in front of you, it really helps you to improve of.

(XNUMX) Practical practice starts with no food after lunch
For fellow practitioners like us, apart from making incense sticks, I ask them not to eat after lunch, oh~ everyone thinks, oh!It’s so difficult. I can’t eat, afternoon tea, midnight snack, or dinner in the future. I save three meals. I told you last week and I also suggest you practice it. Start from not eating at noon, and don’t be so strict. At that time, you can open up fate. It’s okay after XNUMX o’clock. Let’s not say that we hold noon so noble, because it seems to be the precepts of our monks and the eight hurdles of lay people. Fast, the eight-pass fast is not allowed to eat after noon, right?This is, in fact, the Buddha also hoped that his disciples would not eat after noon, but he was afraid that you would not be able to do it, so he made an eight-pass fast for you to make progress slowly. Starting from one day, I actually think you don’t eat after noon every day. It’s easier to develop a habit in three or five days than if you occasionally don’t eat for a day or two. That’s how our classmates are.
When I started to advocate, more than half of the people were not only three or five, and more than half of them followed me to hold the noon. I was also our monk ordained to hold it, but later it was not easy to open the stomach because of the dependence on one. , Two years ago, we insisted on it. A lawyer Dade Guoqing, a high-ranking monk in Taiwan who practiced very strict precepts, asked me to hold lunch again. I said it was really a stomach problem. He said that the stomach is sick and the stomach hurts. Medicine, which means that stomach pain is also to be held. It is very strict, so I just hold it down, hey!Nothing is really blessed by Buddha, and it is easy to pass, so I later explored one. . .It’s just that our mentality is inherently wrong, thinking that it’s bad for your health and stomach if you don’t eat after lunch. In fact, it’s better for the stomach and intestines if you don’t eat after lunch, and it’s healthier for the body, because our stomach workload is reduced. ,right?It has time to rest. In fact, the nutrients our body needs are very sufficient for two lunches.
Attorney Guo Qing, whom I rely on, has one meal a day. He has been eating one meal a day for more than XNUMX years. They eat very healthy bodies, and their complexion is healthier than mine. There are too many examples of this kind of elderly people in their sixties. , So there is no need to worry about your health. This is a change of concept. If we want to practice, we must start from here. Of course, we don’t force it. But what I want everyone to know is, why do we fail to practice?Because we didn’t really do it, didn’t really change our bad habits, change our bad life and practice, according to our Buddhist precepts, in fact, many of our precepts help us reborn, but this time I When I came back, I discovered why the number of our fellow practitioners was getting smaller and smaller. Look at these fellow practitioners on our Facebook. They checked in every day for three years, and more than XNUMX% of them didn’t leave. This ratio is very high. For example, our last Buddha Seven There are three hundred people. Three years later, there are still two hundred and eighty or ninety people in Qi Ma. Basically, this proportion has not left.
Why did a small percentage of them leave?It’s because I dropped out of school, unbehaved, disobedient, bad karma, too hard-tempered, and I don’t have time to adjust it often, because we can’t scold people too much, three times, I can’t at most two times. If you have time to scold you, you don’t have the energy to scold again. It’s not good to scold someone again, right?We just want to form a good relationship with others, and teaching others is for their good. Then some people really don’t want to change. We don’t force it. That is, if there is no predestined relationship, we can’t scold it anymore. If you scold it again, it’s useless. It was a waste of energy, so my fellow practitioners quickly learned about my intentions and were very grateful. They all felt that we had sacrificed a lot when we became a teacher.When we scold people, every time I scold someone is as tired as the body collapses. Often I have to get up at four o'clock, and when I have to scold someone, I have to get up at two or three o’clock and hit the incense stick. Look at how tired you are, and sacrifice a lot. And if you scold people often, your habit of scolding too much will be bad. You see, if this person often scolds people, it's terrifying that the face looks fierce, so we'll stop here.
All in all, I found that our problem is that we have not really practiced the precepts, and there are many precepts in Buddhism. Then our abbot is busy building temples, and he occasionally talks to you about discourses, and you may also Did not actively show the need to learn the precepts and the requirements of learning the rules, so the abbot may not have taken care of this aspect, but the last time we discussed it, he said, oh!It may be that our service is not good, but think about it, if your service is good, will you still be happy every day?Be diligent in reciting the Buddha. If you can’t get the taste when reciting the Buddha, your worries cannot be subdued. Is the service useful?
We are volunteers to protect the Dharma and serve the public in the dojo. Good service is what we should be, we should cultivate our own blessings, then we still have to improve our self-cultivation. This is what we should be, but this is not enough. In the practice aspect, we just talked about holding lunch, not eating after lunch, you can save our purse, you can save three meals a day, eat a little bit full at noon, afternoon snacks and afternoon tea, don’t eat fruit snacks and dinner. , There are also midnight snacks, and there are midnight snacks to save the money and protect the dojo every month. What is the saving for this?Save our merits and wealth for us to cultivate blessings. The Buddha taught us to cultivate both blessings and wisdom. The actual practice should start from here. If you do not have blessings, you will not be happy when you come to the temple. Fu, everyone sees you respectfully and admires you, you will also like to come, right?This is natural.

(XNUMX) The practice of precepts is to cultivate the mind
At home, we listen to the Scriptures, follow the teachings, and start from the precepts. After our body and mind are transformed, your worries will be lessened day by day. Therefore, we should reflect on ourselves in our practice. Then you say, oh!It's so difficult!Like last time there was a layman who also asked questions. He said that he wanted to come to the dojo, but sometimes he likes to play mahjong and drink. It seems that fellow practitioners should come too!It’s just that between the two, I’m very happy to come to the dojo these days. After a while, I drink and play cards. After I put in, I’m too lazy to get the dojo. The problem lies in us. The first one of our precepts is not studied or developed. The habit of observing the precepts and rules. The power of this law has not been able to bless you. The power of evil is relatively strong. Playing mahjong and drinking is something you may have liked to do from when you were young or even in the past. The habit is too heavy. It's too strong, so we need to re-strengthen the precepts, strengthen this good habit, and strengthen this mana before we can cure these bad habits.
You said, he said that he knew it, but it seemed difficult, yes, yes, it would be difficult at first. I just said that the fellow practitioners called them to hold the noon. In fact, we fellow practitioners are already very obedient, I Ask them to do what they do right away, without reluctance at all. Master teaches them what they do, and they will do it immediately. Because of this commitment, our foundation has been laid, and they are very respectful to me and follow the teachings, so they just say what they say. Do it right away, and it will be easy to do it, but because most of our fellow practitioners have not gone through the stage of joss sticking, have not tempered this character, and have not developed respect for the teacher, so they will not be honest. It’s really difficult to keep the precepts in the first place. What should I do?There is another way, the fastest way is to ask for the blessings of Buddha, this is incredible!We can't do it with our own strength, and we have too many vices.
Oops!Master, I know that I have to practice the precepts, I know that I have to go to bed early and get up early to get good health. I know that if I don’t smoke or drink, I can’t quit smoking for decades. This is all precepts. I know that I need to cultivate blessings in the temple. Be diligent, don't speak loudly or loudly, be kind to fellow practitioners, and then follow the rules of the dojo. You all know but you can't do it, right?When I was in a bad mood today, I was in a bad mood. People would just say a word or two. As a result, I was very uncomfortable when I heard it. I couldn't control the outbreak immediately, right?This is to show that our ordinary people are too weak. It is indeed like this. It is really not easy. We all come here to know.
I have been a monk for more than ten years, and I have been training for XNUMX years. The first ten years have been very hard. Look at it, it’s not easy. We are a full-time monk. You can’t do it if you don’t hold the precepts in the temple, right?If you don’t hold the precepts, you can’t do it. It’s very hard to hold the precepts. Haha. I used to sleep at home until XNUMX or XNUMX o’clock and get up at XNUMX or XNUMX o’clock in the dojo. Then this is also a precept. It’s hard work in many ways. It restrains us and changes our bad habits, so it was very painful at the beginning. This is because we have to do it on our own. This kind of mood is very hard and changes are very slow. Then there is a quickest way, Asking for the blessing of Buddha, this power is incredible!So today I just want to share this shortcut with you.
Once we know how to feel the blessings of the Buddha, no matter whether we hold the precepts, even if we do business, want to get rich, ask for money, ask for children, and family relations, we will be able to go smoothly, and soon you will be able to get this. Induction, what you do is easy to get what you want, why?Because we have received the power of the Buddha, the power of the Buddha is incredible. The key is whether we can receive the power of the Buddha, because it is too difficult to rely on ourselves. There is no way to keep the precepts and to recite the Buddha. So now we have no choice. Think of a way to rely on the power of the Buddha, relying on the power of the Buddha to help us to maintain the precepts, to help us recite the Buddha's name well, to help us deal with people and affairs in our lives, or in all aspects of our business, business, and family. smoothly.
Then you say yes, how do you ask for the blessing of Buddha?We burn incense and worship Buddha every day, why don't we seem to feel it? Do you know why we don't feel it?The mentality is wrong. In the final analysis, our Dharma is to cultivate a mind. All rituals and sects and rituals are actually skillful and convenient. In the end, we have to understand that we are here to cultivate this mind. So no matter what ritual we practice, if Our mentality is wrong, and it’s all in vain. Let’s tell the truth, alas. !There are still many people, they are confident, really confident, wow!There are already a lot of Buddhas here. It is very worthwhile for our abbot to build this dojo. It is all made by you. It will be enough for you to come again in the future.
Raise your hands, those people who have heard my lecture, please raise your hands, wow!It’s also quite a lot. Four or five years ago, many fellow practitioners remembered me. It’s not easy. I found that your memory is better than mine. You see, so I say that this is the power of the Fa, not my eloquence. Like you, I am an ordinary person with karma and I also rely on the Buddha to save it, but I just said that it is not difficult for the Pure Land Method to graduate to Consummation. Its theory is very simple. Bodhisattva children and even cats, dogs, mice, all living beings of the animal realm, they don’t even understand words and have no culture at all. They can die. This shows that the power of this method is incredible!Its theoretical method is very simple, and it can be as deep as the state of Huayan Sutra.
The Buddha’s realm is very high and complete, but it can also be completely ignorant of theory, and you can save it. Therefore, many fellow practitioners only have to listen to a lecture from me and reverse this concept, and they can immediately build confidence in rebirth. The moment you truly build your faith in rebirth is when you receive the blessing of Buddha power. If you do not receive the blessing of Buddha power, then in fact, your faith in rebirth may be a misunderstanding that the news is not true. How can you prove it? Have we received the blessing of Buddha?It’s very simple. It’s very simple to see if our behavior has changed. Normally we have to keep the precepts on our own. It is very difficult to cut off evil and cultivate good, because there is no power. When we receive the blessings of the Buddha, we will have a very powerful force in our hearts. Knowing where it came from, the whole body is full of energy, why?Because the Buddha is great compassion, he is full of wisdom and compassion. This quality has entered our hearts. This is called Buddha blessing.
We feel the compassion of the Buddha for our salvation in our hearts. The moment we are grateful and moved, it is impossible for us not to change our character and behavior. Is this clear?So is there a way to determine whether we can die in this life?It’s very simple. Ask yourself, don’t ask others, do you believe that you have made a vow? This is the basic condition. But the question is whether your faith in the vow is true or not. It depends on your belief in the Buddha. You have to really believe it. The Buddha will definitely come to pick you up. As long as you are willing to come and you truly believe it, your heart will be moved because we are free. We have been reciting the Buddha for decades since we had no beginning. The chanting is so hard, and I am chanting like I am chanting. It was in the twelfth year of the suffering of chanting, that I encountered the opportunity to be blessed by the Buddha. This confidence arose in my heart. The feeling of the moment really seemed to be what Zen said, the same body fell off to perfection, and the moment was liberated, I was finally free from suffering and joy. You don’t have to work hard anymore, haha, why?We finally have hope in our death.
Otherwise, if we recite the Buddha every day, the more we recite, the more annoyed and miserable!The more I thought, the more delusions, I spent so many years in Buddhism with money and effort, so there was no news at all, and no benefits at all. The worst thing is that I don’t know where to go in my next life. That’s worse. Isn’t it worse? The more you worry, the more you worry, the more you want to be miserable. The world is unreliable. There is no reliable one. Now even the Three Treasures are unreliable. What should I do if I am miserable?Wow!I used to be so distressed. I have been a monk for so long. I am still so distressed because there is no way to graduate. I can’t feel the final news. Of course, the more I practice, the more panic I get. Less, right?Are you thinking about yourself, whether my kung fu is better, thinking about yourself every day, then is there a moment to think of noticing Amitabha?No!Only the mouth is chanting the Buddha's name. In other words, there is a mouth and no heart, and you don’t know how to chant it, so you can’t be moved, because we are not close to Amitabha, and we are not familiar with Him at all and we don’t understand Him, right?So if you don’t feel Amitabha’s blessing to us and the dedication to us, you can’t feel it, so you can’t be moved. If you can’t be moved, you won’t be able to receive the Buddha’s blessings and virtues. So starting today, how do we recite this A Buddha's name is to read and think to realize how great Amitabha's kindness is to us.
What is the meaning of this Buddha name? This Buddha name is not a name, but a living being is a living thing. He is the life of Amitabha Buddha. The soul of Amitabha lives in this name because we can’t see him, we We can’t see Him with the naked eye. How do we feel about Him? He uses one of the simplest methods, which is to put his own virtue, the virtue and vitality, and all his energy in this Buddha sign. This is He himself made a vow, and it is said in the scriptures. If we know this fact, when we are chanting this Buddha's name, we are talking to Amitabha, communicating with Him and talking with Him. Then you talk for one day, talk for two days, talk for a year. More and more familiar, you know Him very well, can you not feel it, right?To do this, and then to go further, to deepen this confidence, to deepen this sense of familiarity, and to accelerate the speed of induction, we must further understand the forty-eight vows, the forty-eight vows issued by Amitabha Buddha for us, we have to understand. Amitabha Buddha is so compassionate. In order to save us who are incapable and completely incapable of attaining liberation from the sins of our own precepts and practice, if we understand it, it is just these sentient beings in front of us, the root nature of all sentient beings in the end of the Dharma. Amitabha Buddha and the Ten Fang Buddhas basically cannot save us. Only Amitabha Buddha can save us. Why?Because we have a deep connection with Amitabha Buddha, and he is practicing instead of us, and he has accomplished it ten kalpas ago. He sees that we cannot practice by ourselves. He is not like Shakyamuni Buddhism. How do we cultivate, right? We follow the precepts and practice concentration and open wisdom. Buddha Amitabha knows that teaching is useless. Anyway, you can't cultivate, but he is very special and has a special relationship with us. He is reluctant to bear us, so look at all the Buddha statues, this There is a table method.
Buddha statues are generally sitting, they are all sitting, you see, the disciples next to them are standing, the bodhisattvas are also standing, this has a table method, only Amitabha is standing, have you noticed that this is a table of Amitabha’s salvation Our heart is the most urgent and urgent. He stretches out his hand at any time to lead us. He lowers his body and takes the initiative to lead us. He is afraid that we will suffer a bit more. After we lose our body in the reincarnation, we will have to wait for thousands of times. It takes tens of thousands of years to have the opportunity to meet the cause and condition of salvation again, because nine out of ten of us will fall into the three evil ways. This will be terrible. I don’t know when we will come up again. He can’t bear to let you miss this. The cause and condition of being saved, he took the initiative to practice for us, as long as we are willing to believe, he will immediately come and lead us, and also take the initiative to lead us to the Buddha kingdom to the bliss world, and all the merits that he has cultivated for us are unconditional. For us, only Amitabha Buddha made this vow for us. If we truly understand that Amitabha is so great and the relationship between Amitabha and us is so close, we are not unmoved.
I just hear the praise of the Buddha, I will cry, this kind of touch and this kind of confidence is deepening year by year, look at the ordinary Buddha, the Buddha represents the teacher's way, and the teacher's way is very noble. It must be If you want to study, right?When students worship the teacher, you ask you to take the initiative. Just like Confucius in ancient times, when accepting students, parents took their children to bow down to the teacher. Parents take the lead in demonstrating, and parents should bow down to the teacher, showing the nobleness of the teacher. Therefore, the Buddha is sitting, only the Bodhisattva is not. Please be free to save sentient beings, because the Buddha is not arrogant. He wants to show the Dhamma. It shows that sentient beings can value the Dhamma and respect the teacher. Therefore, every Buddha is waiting for you to ask for the Dhamma, even an Arahant.
A Hinayana saint, if you don’t ask him, he will never teach you. It’s not that he is not merciful. That’s the way he is. So it’s okay if he doesn’t take the initiative, but Amitabha can’t bear it, just like his own child. No matter how bad a child is, he will never teach you. Obediently, he didn’t get angry, so he just thought of a way, because he was more clever and wise than other Buddhas. He simply cultivated for us before speaking. He first received the bliss world to prevent us from falling into the three evil ways, and then used it. He has a way to share with us the merits of his exhausted practice, and he can give us his hundreds of millions of property, just like his parents, directly and unconditionally, for us to do it so thoroughly, just to allow us to leave. Suffering and happiness, these facts, when we listen to the scriptures, we must hear him in our hearts, not like listening to a myth.
I usually don’t care about listening to the scriptures, even if I don’t listen to them, every day’s heart is thinking about myself, what are you doing today, you are chasing the five desires and six dusts, and when you are in a bad mood, alas!What about the people in my family today? What is unlucky? I am going to recite the Buddha and burn incense and worship the Buddha. Is it effective to hold the Buddha's feet temporarily?Even if it works, you can’t believe it, alas!Why are you so lucky today? Your heart is uneasy. If we usually listen to the Buddha's words and practice with our hearts, we will really know Amitabha Buddha with our hearts, and the total amount of wishes and actions we have given us, in the end, is He? What things have been done for us, we and him, we chant the Buddha's work here, not cultivating a pure mind. Everyone has to figure out that cultivating a pure mind reduces delusions. This is very good but it is incidental. And it is impossible for us to achieve it.

The Buddha has perfect wisdom and compassion. Is it possible that he will not come? Isn’t it possible, right?Since it's impossible, do we have confidence in the death right now? Yes!It's that simple, it's that simple, the core of the Pure Land Method, the core theory to be achieved, is just a few sentences.
As the Dao says, the true highest truth is very simple. It depends on whether we understand, whether we can understand, whether we can work hard, so from now on, whether we are chanting the Buddha, or we are usually listening to the scriptures and the Dharma. , Don’t think about ourselves, we must change our concept, turn the direction, Nian Nian to understand the part of Buddha with heart, to get to know Amitabha, especially we are Buddhists. Are you familiar with the half of your family who sleeps together every day?The wife at home has been living together for decades. It should be familiar to many people. In fact, many people are not familiar with the same way, because we are habitually selfish, even if two people live together. For the rest of our life, we still care about ourselves every day. Go back and examine your own heart. We have to cultivate this heart and see if we are the sins, life and death, ordinary people, we are really bad, greedy, and hateful. 、I don’t leave us at all times, even if we don’t know, don’t know or love the people closest to our family, we don’t know how to love, nor do we know how to love and don’t love ourselves. Children, because we don’t understand, you see how sad it is, why is this happening, because we have not turned around.
We only think about ourselves every day, and we don't turn around to think about each other, so even if you get along for a long time, you won't know each other. You don't understand him, right?If you don’t understand, you will have quarrels and misunderstandings. There is no way to be harmonious between people. Since harmony is not good, how can you talk about induction? So what should we do, we really need to practice, especially for those who recite the Buddha. This heart, starting from today, from now on, I must be very humble, I must be very sincere and sincere to re-recognize Amitabha Buddha, I want to establish a good relationship with him, just like when we first fell in love, at that time, Oh, that's very enthusiastic, right?Especially when boys are chasing girls, they call every day during that passionate love period, and want to meet each other every day, and they think of him whenever they eat and walk, alas!That's right, use this method to miss Amitabha, to think about Amitabha, what is he doing now?What does Amitabha Buddha usually think about?What is the relationship between Amitabha and us?What do we do for us?
In fact, I tell you that Buddha Amitabha is by your side now. Whether you believe it or not, it is around us, but we don’t know that we are so strange to him. , He is waiting by our side at any time, waiting for our cause and destiny to arrive. He wants to take us to the world of bliss to enjoy the blessing, the pure Buddha kingdom, He is afraid that you will not look back, He is by your side at any time, but we can’t see Him. , If we know, will we worry that we will not die?At any time, even if we are demented, unconscious, or in a car accident, He knows that He has perfect magical powers and has been there to prevent and wait for you, so don’t be afraid of everything.
What is refuge in the Buddha is to take refuge in the Buddha completely, and leave it all to the Buddha. Don’t worry. The Buddha has the ability to solve everything for all of us. We are afraid that we can’t do anything if we don’t accept Him. So we still have to believe in the Pure Land method. You have to believe in Him, and you still have to be willing, otherwise He will come to pick you up and refuse to go, and He can't say that you must follow me. That is becoming a rascal.It’s impossible for Amitabha Buddha to do this kind of thing, so I still want him to respect our democracy, so we must know how to work hard and don’t use the wrong direction. That’s really a pity. You want to be relieved so much every day. It’s also true that you can come to the dojo. I know that this world is very difficult and I can't solve it myself, so I want to find a solution in Buddhism, right?Then I spent a lot of time and thought, but in the end I didn't get any obvious changes, which is really a pity.
Then you can say whether there was any free cultivation in the past, there was no free cultivation, like I have been studying the Pure Land for twelve years, I only began to build the confidence of rebirth. Our old monk Jingkong is very good at teaching the Pure Land method, but because he speaks very broadly. , We ourselves are not careful enough to listen to the sutras, and as we just said, we may still have the karma for the good roots, and the good roots are not mature enough, so after listening to the sutras, do you understand or not, or if you listened to it, you didn’t really go. Follow the actual practice, so the induction is not good, so you must accumulate to a certain level. The karma is already sufficient. You suddenly realize that you are willing to start the practice and follow the correct method. We just talked about the practice of affirmation. It’s to look back at the beginning of keeping the precepts, but we don’t have the power, so we have to ask the Buddha to be blessed by the power of the Buddha, and then we have this power. We will get rid of the bones and the old bodhisattva will become young, not like plastic surgery. Becoming young in the future means being energetic, why?Our hearts are filled with gratitude and moved. I am willing to give up my life to repay the Buddha’s grace, because now I finally feel that I am saved, I am liberated, I have worked so hard in the world for so many years, and I have been groping in Buddhist practice. For many years, I have finally been saved, and now I can graduate. The feeling of relief and gratitude, there is really no way to speak.
When I was on the induction, I reacted from head to toe. The scalp was numb and the pores were all erected, and the whole body reacted. My heart was pounding like a drum. Wow~ the whole person was very excited. Those who shed or cried, because we had a relationship with the Three Jewels in the past, and even with Amitabha Buddha, and now the relationship has matured, wow!It is really crying, it is really a reborn, such a big change, so it does not have to take several years to study Buddhism to slowly change, no, it is in the present, and so is Zen enlightenment. In the present moment, our Pure Land Method senses that the blessing of Amitabha Buddha’s power is also the present. This moment when the current karma is mature, the time has come. Of course, we must accumulate our good roots and merits. The karma must be enough. Just as I just mentioned, I have accumulated ten in this life. It matured in two years.
At the moment, the time has come to a change, and you will be inexplicably touched in your heart. That power is getting stronger day by day, not to say ah!I’m so touched after listening to the scriptures, and I forgot when I went back. If I listened to Master Huilu telling jokes, then I would have forgotten it. Our blessings are different from the Buddha. Sometimes he tells jokes for you. But this is through knowing the power of Amitabha Buddha, letting him infuse us into our hearts, and then the power we receive, so we must now know how to adjust our practice, first turn our general direction and forget ourselves. No matter when we recite the Buddha's name, or whatever we do in our lives, we should not think about ourselves, but about each other.
When we are reciting the Buddha, you can try it later. When you are reciting the Buddha, you will use this Buddha name. When you are chanting, you are talking with Amitabha, or even talking to him. Yu is complaining to him, are you suffering?Very bitter, right?If you know that you are suffering, you also know that we have no place to complain, right?Who wants to listen to us complaining, snot and tears, everyone is bitter enough, seeing you are bitter again, I want to run away, right?So we are really pitiful, there is no place to complain, and there is no way to release all the pressures of our lives, and no one can replace us, only the Buddha can, then we will use this Buddha name to bring our suffering to us He even conveyed our wishes to Him through the name of the Buddha through our chanting, with heart, heart.

If we have any wishes or thoughts, we can talk to him, because he has magical powers. He knows that as long as we use our heart to convey the message, he will receive it. We are sincere. Concentrately through this Buddha name to convey, then we will be able to feel what we want.
For example, you are worried about our family. Last time, a Bodhisattva asked the family’s children not to be obedient, not to look for jobs, etc. You don’t have to talk about all your concerns. Amitabha has magical powers. You don’t need to talk so much. That kind of mood, your worries, can be conveyed to Him through this Buddha's name, and He will help you solve it. Do you believe it?It’s so incredible. If you believe that you will have induction, if you don’t believe, there will be no induction. This is the key. You have to have faith in the Buddha. If we recite the Buddha, we have no faith in the Buddha. It’s useless. It’s because your own karma is blocked. Are you fake? You have no intentions. If you are fake, you have to have confidence, and then add that we now know how to know the truth and how the Buddha comes to interact with us. , How to wait for us, how to help us, always, always remembering us, blessing us, after we know the truth of this fact, our whole human character will change. If you don’t change, it means you If you don't know these facts, you don't really believe it, it's that simple, this is the key.
Whether you can believe it or see it clearly is the key. Can you enter and realize that after you graduate, your induction and confidence will be strengthened day by day, why?Because we will start to like to recite the Buddha, we will start to like to listen to the forty-eight vows, and we will start to like to understand Amitabha, of course we will become more and more familiar with him, right?Faith will become stronger and stronger, because the Buddha is perfect, he is invulnerable and has no shortcomings. Therefore, the more familiar you are with him, the stronger your only confidence. This is inevitable. I can also prove it. I didn’t like to fight before. The seventh Buddha, twelve years ago, before the confidence in rebirth was established, that is, before the blessings of the Buddha were received, it is a lie to us young people who like to recite the Buddha.
Young people like to study teachings, meditation, and mantras. Where do they like it, alas!Recitation of Buddhism is the practice of old bodhisattvas who have nothing to eat and do. They seem to be too shallow at all and not fashionable at all, right?So we young people don’t like chanting, because they don’t understand this superiority, so the fastest way is also what we need to learn when chanting Buddhism, because the purpose of chanting Buddhism is to build confidence in rebirth, right?Then, to build confidence in rebirth is not to wait until the end of life, it is not so hard, this method is very simple, if you can only decide at the end of life, whether you can regenerate, then this method is too difficult!It is possible for people to be enlightened by Zen meditation. Why do we have to reach the end of life to achieve it? Isn’t that ridiculous?It’s unreasonable, right? How can it be said that thousands of people will go there? The three roots are simple and easy to collect, right, this term, we all often hear it, it should be right now that we are about to graduate. Understand the method, and forty-eight, I hope everyone will learn about the most precious part of this method.
Buddha Amitabha is superior to the Buddhas in the ten directions. The closest thing to us is that the five inverses and ten evils can be reborn. This kind of compassion, this kind of magic power, is consummated to the ultimate solitude. You have to be grateful and have to admire, if In this case, will you worry that we can't get rid of it, alas!Others can go, but I may not be able to go because I have a heavy karma. If there is any, we are all worried. I believe Buddhas are absolutely fine, but I have problems, so I can’t die, wow!Then you will be miserable, this is another wrong concept, then you really can't die if you think so, because the mental strength of our beings is also incredible!The Buddha can do everything, that is, he can only change the mental strength of sentient beings, because he has to respect him and cannot force us, right?So if we sentient beings want to be unable to rebirth, then there is really no way to rebirth, and we are obstructing ourselves, so everyone should know what the scripture says.
It is very clear in the Buddhist scriptures that in the Buddhist scriptures of Immeasurable Life, all the five evils and ten evils can be reborn. In the Book of Immunity, the only exception is that the five evils slander the Dhamma, and that the five inferiors cannot be reborn. That is because the sentient beings at that time still have the foundation. It’s not that bad. There is no artificial evil, so He reminds you that you can’t do it. If you make evil, you can’t die. That’s a convenient way to prevent you from doing evil. The Sutra of Longevity, this is also one of the Three Sutras of the Pure Land, so it is fully explained. Without skill, people who rebirth and break the precepts of the next generation can be reborn. No one has missed it. This way we will still be reborn. Don't worry about our deep karma, we can't die, we are not as evil as the five evils and ten evils!So bad!No, I am not afraid of it. Why?Because the heavier our karma, the Buddha will come to save you first, do you believe it or not?Believe it or not, speak a little louder, and finally see the spirit.
It’s a good time to sleep at this time. It's rare that everyone didn't fall asleep. Believe it. Why?Let me tell you. We compare our hearts to our hearts. Amitabha is so compassionate to us. He is waiting for us all the time, hoping to help us at any time to help people get away from suffering and happiness, right?It’s just that we can’t go yet, and the karma is blocked. He is waiting anxiously. Then He is like our parents. We use your parents to experience it. If you are here, you’ve all been parents. It’s easier to experience it. , If some of your own children are healthy and lively, some suddenly have a high fever and become sick with the plague, they are very serious and are about to die, or if he kills someone and is about to be locked up, what will you do? kind?You will definitely put the other children aside first, do you solve his problem first, right? Is there any reason, will Amitabha treat us like this?Yes!We are all drowning. He won’t save us first, right?We use this mood to understand the heart of Amitabha.
There is another place to prove that, as you can see in the Immeasurable Life Sutra, there are forty-eight vows out of the forty-eight vows that are issued for sentient beings, and they are placed in the front. Only the five vows at the back are for the Bodhisattva The karma of the Bodhisattva is relatively light. He won’t drown in the back immediately, right? What is the first wish?Is the hell hungry ghost that saves the three evil beings the heaviest karma?We can see from the order in which the forty-eight wishes Amitabha Buddha made the vows for us, we can see that these are all manifestations, but we don’t know how to look at them, and we have to pass the explanations of the masters. Passing on from one generation to another is not something we imagine ourselves, but it's unreasonable for us to reason like this, it's reasonable!right?
We can accept that after listening to it, it is reasonable and reasonable to be able to induce induction. His heart must be hundreds of billions of times greater than that of our parents. Our parents will be like this, let alone the Buddha's mind. He thinks that the heavier our karma, the more our heart will save you. What's more, many places in the scriptures have already pointed out the expression to us so clearly, so we no longer have to worry about our multiple karma, because I have heavy karma, no matter how strong the Buddha power is, it is useless, because we have heavy karma. , So we can’t rebirth. In fact, if we feel that we can’t rebirth, which means we don’t have faith in the Buddha, this is very disrespectful. The life body of the Buddha name tells him to pray for him and help us settle things in the dark. You have to start with the precepts, so you have to ask your master to receive the precepts. The five precepts of the family should ask for the five precepts. At least you must first ask for the five precepts. The five precepts are the foundation of life. This is the precept of the Buddha. Disciples don’t kill, steal, don’t commit adultery, don’t talk lie, and don’t drink alcohol. These are the basic standards for being a human being. When you go to the dojo, you should speak quietly and not loudly, oh, three women get together, wow~ that’s terrible, the buzzing is not knowing---, that kind of voice is really too powerful, so don’t know it. If you feel that you are not abiding by the rules, you have not noticed it. If you have to learn that you have not learned or no one will play the incense stick with you, you will not be able to change without realizing it. The same is true at home. Difficult or easy, difficult or easy is just our own cognition, everything is also made by the heart, and we can do it when we find it difficult.
There are males among my students. The XNUMX-year-old smokers who say they are changed will be changed. If they are changed, they will receive the five precepts and the bodhisattva precepts. The whole person is completely reborn. Eighty to ninety percent of our students are almost the same. A very big change, less than a year, the first half of the year was to sell incense sticks, accidentally a habit of three or two days came up, it must be adjusted for a period of time, less than a year, a big change, changed to her wife’s I was shocked. Why did my husband become so good? I was afraid to say whether it was a demon, how effective, so powerful, and who is sacred. It turned out that the master looked quite normal. It was not an evil devil. Later, his wife also converted, because his husband had changed so much, she was taken aback. I said I will take Mr. Gu for you. He has received the five precepts now, and he won’t. Cults won’t go outside to make girlfriends, don’t you feel at ease, you’re still afraid, Sambo will discipline him for you, and teach him for you. It’s really not easy for men. The karma of men is really lighter than that of our women. Once you are awakened, you have to turn your head back. The power to change is really greater than that of the women. The women drag on and do not change, so they have to beat the board frequently and often have to curse a few words, men. No, say it once or twice at most twice and change it immediately.
This is what I have seen. Among our fellow practitioners, there are relatively few males, and there are still more females, but there are also many. All of them have been following for two or three years, and some of them came in later. Our class has been in operation for three years. Now everyone has a way to pass on my teachings independently. My teachings are based on the patriarch’s thoughts, which I just taught. After listening to them, everyone will have the opportunity to build confidence in their rebirth and graduate successfully. Right now, the Dharma has this power. This is our Patriarch, Shandao, Master Amitabha, who will come again. Those who personally bless us have higher mana than other Patriarchs.
Other wise masters and lotus pond masters are the ancestors of his sect. From his standpoint, that is the Great Bodhisattva, but Master Shandao is Amitabha, and his magic power is greater. I have to respond to your master and teach more rules. From the beginning of what I’m telling you, you will be exhausted, your body will be healthy, your intestines and stomach will be better, and you will have more time to work harder. If you have more money, your temper will get better and better. If you eat less, your temper will be less irritable. It is best to be vegan. People who have not yet become vegan will eat vegan. The inside must be cleaned up and kept very clean. Our living environment is not clean, which means that our hearts are not clean.We are people who like impureness, laziness and slack do not want to make progress, and do not want to truly practice. Only then will you let your life be confused, right?It's messy and you don't care about it. You're busy all day long worrying and delusional, wasting time, right?So we turn around, in life, we have to keep ourselves active and clean up the environment, and then the body will become healthier and healthier, and there is no time for delusions. It is best to have at least XNUMX Buddha signs every day, and it is Say it when you have time. You don't need to deliberately arrange the time. It's easy for you to read XNUMX sentences.
It depends on whether the rosary counts or the counter. My students are required to do it every day. Everyone can do it and it is easy to do. I also stipulate that they cannot exceed XNUMX sentences. Why can't they exceed XNUMX sentences?You have to spend your time on cultivating happiness, you have to take care of your family, you have to do your career, you want to be a volunteer in the temple, do you want to cultivate happiness? What is the purpose of these ten thousand sentences, so that you don’t have time to delusion, it’s in emptiness. There is a three-minute, five-minute, ten-minute gap when we are in gear. Should we find someone to chat when we have time, or it will be boring, otherwise, what are we going to do, right?
Now we recite the Buddha count whenever we have time, and you will find, oh, how time is so easy to use, how time can change ten thousand sentences all at once, you go back and try, our students are like this, we do it every week There are reports. We have a platform on the Internet for everyone. We are obliged to give everyone a dedication. The sum of four or five million Buddha's names per week is a total dedication. You I usually don’t notice that a lot of time is wasted, and what are the benefits?It’s because you don’t even know it, you don’t have time to tell people right and wrong. People see you holding a counter and chanting Buddha and you are too embarrassed to disturb you, right?Just a few words of greetings at most. Don’t talk too much. It’s meaningless. If you do your homework like this, I promise you will change your whole destiny and interpersonal relationship in less than half a month.
Go back and clean the house and start doing your homework. It’s best if you don’t eat for lunch and recite the Buddha every day. Then you start to learn the rules when you go to the monastery. Each monastery will have some rules, so you should try your best to volunteer. It doesn’t take three years. For three months you will be full of Dharma joy every day, and you have the ability to save sentient beings, nothing? Because you tell sentient beings of your own transformation, you are saving sentient beings, right?Tell people that because you believe in Amitabha, because you are grateful to Amitabha, because you have received the blessings of Amitabha, so you have the power to break evil and cultivate goodness. The method is very simple. From the perspective of life, follow the methods that Master told you. I can do it personally, and I will soon turn around in half a month, a month, and three months.
