Last time we learned a passage in the chapter on the upper grade of the Guanjing Sutra. It was mentioned that the conditions for the upper grade were to have three hearts, that is, sincere, deep-hearted, and dedication. These three hearts are also It is the standard of the eighteenth vows of the forty-eight vows of the immeasurable life sutra, "to believe in the heart, be willing to be born in our country, and even ten thoughts." , We will be able to go to the top grade, without the need for us to recite the Buddha, to recite the skill of meditation without confusion.
So how do we judge, whether we really have the three hearts, whether we have true faith and aspirations, the pure land of survival, our faith in resurrection, whether we have already decided whether or not we have already decided, we can judge from several aspects, the first one, if Our faith in rebirth has been determined. If true faith and aspirations arise, then we will never be attached to our body, especially as we learned a few days ago, we have to observe in our lives, suffering, emptiness, and emptiness. Impermanence, no self, this truth.
After truly understanding this phenomenal realm, naturally we will no longer be attached to our physical bodies, including all matter. We will not be attached, so of course we can, wholeheartedly settle in the Fa, then in addition we Inwardly, living in the Dharma, living in this Buddha's name, now we seem to have cleared up our worries, life is very comfortable, and we will no longer be affected by outsiders, people, things, things, because since we are I don’t care about this outside world anymore. If I see through it, everything is empty and impermanent, so of course we will, and the reduction of trouble will not be affected.
At the same time, because of such a change, Dharma joy and freedom, so gratitude will continue to arise in the heart, and the Dharma joy will be filled every day. Then this kind of Dharma joy will be naturally transformed into actions and manifested in behaviors, and we will be natural. Yes, if you want to practice the way of the Bodhisattva, cut off evil and cultivate goodness, this has a collateral effect, so in my heart, this attitude towards life is different. It is very reckless, and the Buddha and Bodhisattva arrange when we die, we will When we die, we will live by the fate and cultivate blessings and wisdom when the time is not reached.
So inwardly, you will never climb to all dhammas anymore. All the so-called dhammas include good dharma. Of course, you will not create evil again, so including ours to do good dharma. This inner heart, ah, won’t try to climb affiliations. In fact, only With a sense of climbing, no matter what you do, you are still selfish and selfish, including how big a Buddhist business I am doing now, and how big a dojo I am running. Especially a few days ago, in order to help fellow practitioners to "get the Dharma and learn." The foundation of the "fa" is part of the respectful heart, especially for fellow practitioners.

If we don’t really build up respect, even if we dedicate money and effort to do great protection in Buddhism, we also vowed to do a great Buddhist cause and do good deeds, but often the result is easy to create karma, and the foundation is not well established. , Everything I do is to satisfy my own greed, hatred, and delusion without being aware of it, so as long as there is a little bit of prejudice in my heart, my mind will not be quiet.
Then, what kind of life attitude will the person determined by the faith of the departed life have? What kind of reaction and change will there be? Especially when you don’t climb the fate, you will naturally be indifferent to fame and fortune. Recite Buddhism, peaceful and happy.This manifestation of this behavior is the real appearance of a Buddhist cultivator who "seeks for bliss and is willing to leave Saha." Unless there is a cause and a task, of course we have to happily give.
In addition, if there is a cause, there is a cause of becoming a monk, what does becoming a monk represent? Diligent practice, whole-body dedication, whole-hearted dedication, and whole-hearted sacrifice are the phenomenon of thoroughly seeing through and letting go, so unless there is no cause, if you exceed At the age of seventy, I’m afraid that if you want to become a monk, you won’t have that predestined condition. If you have enough abilities, good roots, good fortune, and predestined conditions, and the cause and condition of becoming a monk, of course, for a person who has already decided his faith in his demise, There must be no hesitation.
Just like when I went to this dojo, I went to the dojo, how to talk about visiting the dojo, because I studied Buddhism for a few years, worked as a layman for a few years, and devoted myself to the practice of treasure circulation, so I was more busy and busy during the holidays. Well, once, under such a cause and condition, fellow practitioners in the dojo, the very enthusiastic protectors, very enthusiastic about making it happen, introduced me to Master Zhidu.Well, the karmic relationship at that time was very special and very special, and I didn’t expect to become a monk. After talking to the master, everyone fell in love with each other and responded, especially because I had listened to the old monk teaching the Fa for nearly two or three years. They also devote all their efforts, using a comparative, relatively correct mentality, to practice generosity, so this blessing and fruitfulness will soon appear.
After meeting and talking with Master for less than half an hour, Master suggested that I become a monk and help me shave. Then there were some brothers and brothers who hadn’t been shaved. They were already committed to doing volunteer work for one or two years. It’s been two or three years, and they haven’t. Master hasn’t shaved them yet, so our karma is quite special. When Master mentioned it, my instinctive reaction was that I only asked Master if I could not shave them in the future. Be able to follow the old monk, and can you study the Fa and study with the old monk after the shaved.
Because I want to say that they are all from this family, if it is possible, because it was known at the time that the old monk had already sealed the sword, so if there is a cause, then it is actually a family, and the shave is the same everywhere. Innocent, I don’t know much about the situation of the Sangha group. Then when I heard a very satisfactory answer, the master said yes, then there is no problem immediately. Master said to shave, and I said yes, then when to shave, three days later, So this process is so fast, a cause and condition arises, and then it is consummated. That's the decision.
The reason for this is because before this, our renunciation has been very firm, and at the same time we have two or three years of doctrinal foundation, so when the realm is now, don’t hesitate, isn’t it the same as being a monk? Anyway. Our goal was to rebirth in the Paradise of Elysium, whether we were a monk or at home, we could do anything, the so-called mage, but at that time we didn't expect to be a mage or cleaning the toilet.
I didn’t even think about it at all. I cared about the details of my life. There was no specific way of life. Anyway, everything in this world must be put down sooner or later, and I must be ready to put it down at any time. I have been learning in life, constantly. She is learning to let go of all kinds of delusions, from the external financial, from the material housing, to the inner heart. Cultivation is to live such a life.

So once we encounter a cause or condition that makes us more diligent, usually your intuitive reaction is a direct response, and you will never say, "Ah! Call me a monk." Normally you have already made a wish that you will devote yourself to the practice. ? How can you feel resistance when there is such a cause? If so, then you must be faithful. You have a little problem with your renunciation, so we can observe our faith and wish from here. Authenticity.
Because this is a monk, deciding to be a monk is a very good and easy way to check. You don’t want to be a monk. It’s very simple that you can’t let go of your hair, your five desires, your appearance, your family, and everything belongs to you. There must be at least one thing in the world, I'm afraid it's more than that, right?If you have determined that you are really focused on "seeking bliss," then everything in the world can be set aside, otherwise, how can you go?
Then why do you not want to be a monk as soon as you are given a test, but you are just called a monk before you die? Then your letter is true, it is very difficult for you to lie to yourself, and you still want Lie to the Buddha and Bodhisattva, so it is very simple, this test is very straightforward.
In addition, we must be very "professional" to become more and more specialized when presenting in this profession. We also talked about this part in particular a few days ago, because "specialization" can show our "sincerity". Only then can we meet the condition of "sincerity, deep heart, and aspiring heart." These three hearts are not only the conditions for high-grade rebirth. All three generations of nine products must have these three hearts. This It's the basic mentality.
Then we can say that specialization is very important. We can understand from an analogy. If there is a person next to you who is very dependent on you in character, whether you are family or friends, you feel that he is a whole person. I trust you very much, and my own life ability is relatively limited. If you need your help and your help, then you deeply feel that the other party is in such a situation. When he needs you one day, will you be right? , You will immediately help him first, and you will definitely let go of all the karma of all people, because you feel that he needs you most.
Amitabha Buddha is such a situation for us, the five evil worlds, sins, sufferings and ordinary people, so the Buddha statue of Amitabha is a standing statue. Generally, the Buddha is a sitting statue. The standing statue means that he is standing by and ready to come to save us at any time, so our hearts are the same. , If we say that our hearts are with the people around you, you are not very dependent on them, you are strong and independent, then you have a wide range of friends. If you are in trouble today when you have something to do, then your Will your friends be in a hurry to help you.
No, if this is the case, he will think "You have a lot of friends anyway", so he won't. It's not that he doesn't want to help you, but he is not in a hurry, he naturally won't be so anxious. , Because he thinks that you are still very capable, independent and strong anyway, and you have a lot of help, because you usually have a lot of good ties, you are not only dependent on him, so of course we will not be so close to him.

Then we are going to "specialize" today, which is to establish a close relationship between us and Amitabha. Then when we are in a crisis, we can immediately get in touch with Amitabha. Then we usually do this work, we have to practice to make ourselves single-minded and relying only on it. Amitabha, when we truly trust Amitabha, we naturally will not half-heartedly want to look for the Medicine Buddha, or the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
This is a very subtle state of the heart. The more we rely on him, the easier it is to feel with him. This is a very natural phenomenon.That part is that we usually have to work harder. The more specialized you are, the more the other person can feel your needs. Then when you are in distress, the sensitivity is very fast. It’s not that Amitabha is not merciful. Why do others? Can be sensed, you can't sense.
It’s just that you don’t usually have such a relationship with Him, a "closely dependent relationship." If we usually do this, then naturally we can feel very stable in our hearts, under any circumstances. The induction can be immediately present, including when we encounter an accident, our hearts will be very stable in any situation, and our confidence will not be lost.
Then there is another situation, that is, if we establish this belief and wish, we will definitely be "specializing" in mentality, but in behavior, we will also like to recite Buddhism. This "specializing" does not mean that you just want Listen to the sutras, listen to the sutras more, of course, we can also listen to the sutras. We can study the Sutras of the Pure Land Method, but once our belief has been established, the normal response is usually to respond more and more to the Buddha's name, and the induction is more and more. The more familiar you become, the more you like to recite Buddhism. This part is also an inevitable response of nature.

(XNUMX) Keeping the name and reciting the Buddha all day long without being mixed and uninterrupted
So how do we master this Buddha title? How can we chant this Buddha title without mixing and uninterrupted. Now that we have established the aspiration of faith, we should also start to make aspirations to specialize in it, to be truly honest, to be honest. Cultivating sincerity, then how to recite this Buddhist name? The simple suggestion of this method has two aspects. One is "holding the name all day long." Holding the name all day long means that as long as we have time, we will recite the Buddha name by name. The master told us about this practice.
We saw in the "Hua Yan Sutra" that there are many ways to recite the Buddha, "representing the Buddha, visualizing, observing, and holding the name." Then holding the name is the simplest and the basis. Today we will talk about two, one is " "Reality chanting of Buddha", one is "recognition of Buddha by name." Then the truth of Buddha chanting must also be done through naming. Our method is based on naming the master. After cultivating the name and becoming familiar, after the kung fu is proficient, the so-called kung fu is that we are not. Deliberately practice meditation, but we will naturally meditate for a long time, it will naturally produce samādhi.
We don’t have to deliberately practice the change that it will naturally have. Then if you hold the name to a certain extent, you will naturally come into the reality and recite the Buddha. The two are one, but we still focus on the name of the Buddha, so As long as we have free time, we have to extend it for a long time. Don’t read the morning and evening classes. Even the old monk teaches ten recitations a day, ten Buddha ten lessons, ten sentences at a time. "It’s easy to forget."
Don’t underestimate it and say that I read ten sentences at a time. It should be okay. It’s very simple. In fact, you may not be able to do ten sentences at a time in ten classes a day. You may often forget, because you haven’t developed a habit, so we can do anything. So, and the ten lessons of ten readings are actually the most basic homework recommended for those big entrepreneurs who are really too busy, because ten lessons a day can be scattered, and it also helps to achieve this "uninterrupted" function. , Then this is the lowest standard.

If we have already believed that the wish has been determined, then we will naturally like to recite the Buddha. It’s true that you can recite the Buddha in two or six o'clock, and you can recite the Buddha. In short, whether it’s chanting aloud or meditation in the heart, we must raise the name of the Buddha whenever we have time to develop a habit. Since rebirth is the most important thing, of course "receiving the Buddha by name and naming the name" is one of our methods of rebirth.
Of course, we have to cultivate and be familiar with this Buddha name all day, and get familiar with this realm, so that we can get the blessing of this Buddha name all the time. The special merits in it are too great, and we know that it can not only eliminate disasters and avoid difficulties. , And then unknowingly realize the Buddha chanting and samādhi, the grade of the rebirth is relatively high, so there is no reason to not always want to mention the Buddha name, unless you forget that because you were not used to it at the beginning, and you have not developed the habit of reciting the Buddha. If you really want to start at first, we have to deliberately do it!
Because we didn’t have the habit of doing this homework at the beginning, we must "deliberately make our minds first" and tell ourselves: "I have now made a vow to ask for the birth of bliss, and then I will see through everything in this world and let go, and learn to see through and let go", the facts It’s not that simple to put it down. If you go and do it, you will know that it is not that simple. Don’t talk too loudly or talk too much, but you must always start. Then this beginning is that you have to make a wish first. , First tell yourself: "From today I will make a XNUMX-degree change and adjust my lifestyle and work and rest." That is to say, everything will be based on Buddhist chanting.
Except for necessary tasks that are really inconvenient to chant, or when it is inconvenient to chant silently, then it doesn’t matter to temporarily let go, because the practice of chanting the Buddha Pure Land Method in a name is convenient because you can recite it at any time, then this recitation It's not for practicing Kungfu, but for a person of our faith and wish to build, he must have a response. This is normal. If it doesn't, it means that there is a problem with your faith.

(XNUMX) Meditation on the Buddha's reputation and uninterrupted
It is normal to often forget at the beginning. Then you must start to work hard to cultivate the habit of "rehearsing Buddha all day long", and then you will continue to receive the blessings of Buddha power during this process. The more you read, the more joyful you are. I think it takes a week and a half to develop a habit. You see, we need to eat, drink and play to develop habits quickly, right? The abilities of our beings are also incredible, but the ability to create karma is incredible and easy to respond to the five desires.
Then we turn it around, we turn it around and cultivate this habit of chanting. In fact, it is not difficult if you just wish to do it, you will feel that the effect will be quickly achieved. Why is it so fast?Because the merits of this name are incredible, the "Guan Sutra" says: "One Buddha name can kill eight billion kalpas of life and death felony." So any sentence has such a great merit to kill crimes, and it also has perfect goodness. The merits of the law.
So we don’t have to recite for a long time before we can feel this benefit. As long as you send a sincere heart, "Wish", you start to regard chanting Buddha as the most important thing. Once your mind is changed, you can recite the Buddha name with the correct mentality. Soon, maybe within three or five days you will develop a habit, and the Faxi that develops the habit will immediately surface. Obviously, you can try it out.
The other is the "contemplation of the Buddha", which is what I said about "rehearsing the Buddha in reality." The name "contemplation of the Buddha" is a convenient name for my way of reciting the Buddha. Silence means silence, that is, there is no sound. It is contemplation. Then we can learn this method first, but most people can’t do it right away, because this is the reality of Buddha chanting, which is also called non-phase meditation. It is generally difficult for us to understand reality and non-phase, so I use this "mind The angle of this state of mind is called "Talent Conception Buddha."
So how do you recite this "contemplation of Buddha"?It means that we usually walk, live, sit, and lie in our daily lives, and we can uninterrupted at any time. Then this is not another practice. It is the Bodhisattva's "Recitation of the Buddha's Yuantong Chapter", which says that "all the six faculties are taken, and the thoughts follow one another. "The so-called real-life meditation and non-physical meditation are the way the Dharmakaya Buddha recites.
Then the Bodhisattva with great momentum is the Bodhisattva of Waiting for Enlightenment. He is the Dharmakaya Bodhisattva. In fact, what he teaches is that "all the six faculties are captured, and the pure thoughts follow one another." It is the reality that the Buddha is reciting the Buddha without phase. Because there is no phase, I call it silent. , And there is no such image in the heart at all, that view is clear, in fact it is also "stopping view and double luck."

(XNUMX) The tacit understanding of the Buddha is a way of feeling that the Buddha did not leave me
Then this will make it convenient for us to be uninterrupted. Except whenever we eat, sleep, or fall asleep, the Dharmakaya Master can continue to recite, so we can’t do things normally without obstructing, or how to say without obstructing. This view is to focus our mind on the things we are doing. This is the view, so the realm is clear. This is a bit like "Zhan in motion", that is, you can see every movement in motion very clearly. Clearly, it is Zen, so its artistic conception is very interlinked.
So in this case, no matter what we do while walking, staying, sitting or lying down, we can still use the Buddha's name without interruption. What is the state of this Buddha's name?There is no need to remembrance in the heart, no need to put a name or image of a Buddha, or a Buddha image. It is completely silent, but we clearly feel that the Buddha is in our heart. This is to say "Dharmakaya Buddha", which means " No phase".
"Near Buddha without form, recite Buddha with reality." Reality is a state of absence. Then you must be able to experience this realm. Then you can do it, but you can try to do it, because we can't always do it. We all recite Buddhism in name. We have to work, eat, and do anything. Sometimes, for example, if you are talking with others, for example, you are using a computer, you can’t talk to others and recite Buddhism while doing things. .
Or you are thinking while playing on the computer, you have to use your brains and you have to think. At this time, it seems that you are forced to interrupt. But if we use "concept of Buddha", we can not interrupt. Why?Because the state of the Buddha tacitly believes that "the heart does not need to hold a name at all, nor does the image with this name, or the image of the Buddha, all need not be." We only need to develop a feeling that "the Buddha is always in my heart. He did not leave."

We learn to experience this feeling and put the Buddha in our hearts all the time. In fact, we also know that the Dharmakaya Buddha is ubiquitous and has never left our hearts. We can also understand this principle first. , Then after understanding the truth is to return to the truth, we still have to experience it, and attentively experience the feeling of the Buddha in his heart at all times. This is what we need to experience with the heart.
In the early days, you would recite the Buddha with a name. If you recite frequently and become familiar with it, you will feel that the Buddha is by our side at any time and has never left. At this time, you can practice "reading without thinking". You can do anything. There is no interruption, even when you talk to people and talk to people about things, you will feel that the Buddha is talking with you, you are talking to people, and the Buddha is talking with you with you. He has never left.
Like what, we can experience it like this, like this "Yuantongzhang" said: "Remembering Buddha and reciting the Buddha, like a mother remembering a child." Mothers care about their sons and children. This kind of caring heart is very strong, so we can imagine, One day when the time is up, I have to pick up the children from class, but I just happened to be late for a meeting with the boss today. I was late. At that time, my heart was more anxious and worried, but you were even more worried. You still have to continue to get things done. .
You have to be clear when you have a meeting, but think about it, we are also doing this thing, we must be very careful and careful to finish the current thing, but have we forgotten this child in our hearts?No, the child must still be in our hearts, right?Then replace this child with "Amitabha Buddha", we use this to experience, or when you first love, wow!I am afraid that it is stronger. The man and woman who are in love are dizzy. The married woman is also dizzy. One woman and one woman is married. This text is very interesting. So when you are dizzy, wow !It’s really that all the world is dark. There is only the image of the other person in our eyes and hearts. He is always hanging in our hearts. You can experience it like this. If you really feel this, replace him with "Amitabha "This is the "Buddha of Mindfulness."
