Today Jushi Chen told me: "The temple outside of us has offerings for monks and a Dharma meeting. Maybe there will be fewer people coming to listen to the scriptures today."He told me this to remind me that if there are fewer people, teach me not to be disappointed, maybe that is what it means! But I thought to myself: "It shouldn't be! My charm is so good that it can't stop it." "I am so charming, and I have a lot of fans; and I see that those of us who came to listen to the sutra yesterday were very happy. At first there was no reaction, and I still can’t see it. I sit here and watch you see it very clearly. , But then the more I listened...oh! Our whole spirit was lifted up, and no one was dozing off. It can be seen that you all listened carefully, and you have very good roots, so I listened...so we talked about it until we died. Scared you.
Jushi Chen is very afraid that I will scare you, do you know that? Many of our fellow practitioners are newcomers and don’t know or understand the Pure Land Method. Some people still have a misunderstanding, thinking that they will recite Amitabha and teach people to die. It is to teach people to die early. I want to say, "Oh, yes! If we are really serious, if some new practitioners don't understand, some people will really be scared." No wonder I asked yesterday: "Those who are going to die...Those who are confident to die raise their hands!" Wow, how come there are not many? Really! Now there is no need to raise their hands, this is a loyal fan, we give him a clapping (popular clapping), this is called "Influencing the people", influencing the people, we also have merit when we come to listen to the scriptures, show our respect for the Three Jewels, and our confidence in studying the Fa, which can affect other people, so that you will also have merit when you come to listen to the scriptures. .
I want to say that I did this questionnaire yesterday, because I haven’t come back for a long time. It seems that it’s been a year or how long, more than a year, I feel that we are now fellow practitioners, are the people who raised their hands still? As a result, few people raised their hands. , I want to say whether they all died, or where did they go?As a result, when chatting with Jushi Chen in the afternoon, he said that some of them had emigrated, and he didn't know where the emigration went.If the immigrants really go to other countries, there is nothing to say, then if they are going to the track, don’t, I’m here to persuade you, so you have encountered such a marvellous dojo, and our heart should live in this place. Dojo.
We, Jushi Chen, I understand more and more about his intentions. I have been here several times. At the beginning, I didn’t know that much. I wanted to say that there are so many methods, how do I practice it? Now I know how he is. In order for us fellow practitioners to be able to practice with peace of mind, no matter what method you like to practice, he will protect you, so why do we need to renovate here on the first floor? We are going to transform it into a pure Ksitigarbha temple. Now the building next door is still being built. The golden body of Amitabha Buddha is then used as the three holy temples in the West. On the second floor is the Tathagata, the purpose is to cater to the root nature of each of us, and finally it will be led to the world of bliss. If you want to practice any method, it is available here for everyone’s convenience. , Joyful heart.
Although most of us, including Jushi Chen, know that we have to go to the Pure Land in the end and become a Buddha in the Western Paradise. But some people are just beginning to learn Buddhism. For beginners, you can teach them to specialize all at once. A Dharma, and I don’t understand the world of bliss, and even misunderstood that Amitabha... it seems unlucky to hear Amitabha Buddha. Someone in my family is about to die. I misunderstood and feared, so I suddenly asked you to specialize in this method. Of course you are. Shangenfude is not yet satisfied, so I can't force it.
We can make a predestined relationship first, and then slowly. When his predestined relationship matures, you see, we have to practice the Pure Land Method, as well as reciting Amitabha Buddha. If you want to tune your body specifically, you can have a predestined relationship with our Medicine Master Tathagata. It’s okay to cultivate here, or Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva; but we have to remember that although there are so many methods in our dojo, it’s not for you to do it alone, but for the root nature of different sentient beings to choose. In the end, we still have to You have to choose a method to specialize yourself, so that we can achieve it. Don't do it here and there, it won’t be effective if you do it for a long time.
But if we already have a method in our hearts that we really want to cultivate, we will be very happy when we cultivate, but if there are other activities and conferences here, it’s okay if you want to come and please, we just like it. The solemn dojo is not a miscellaneous cultivator. We are not saying that the power of cultivating this law is not enough. We need to practice two or three more methods to have enough power. That is not right! That is miscellaneous cultivating. Just fine.
If there is a certainty in the heart, for example, if we recite the Buddha and ask to be born in the Pure Land of the West, then we must specialize in the practice of Buddhism. We will definitely not change in our hearts. Our homework is also based on this. At this time, our dojo has other methods. Yes, if we need our help or the solemn dojo, then we can take it seriously. It’s okay. This is called "Xixi". Does this understand? Don’t say that I love walking around, I love walking around. It means that we don’t have a master in our own hearts, there is no master...there is no major method of cultivating. Think about it, if such a person runs around, can his mind be stable? This also has to be cultivated, and that also has to be cultivated. Is it very greedy? Can greed enter the Tao? Is there a way to enter the Tao? There is no way.

Every method is very good, but each method is very broad and profound. Can you absorb all of them? Impossible! Any method is very good... This really requires hard work. It may not be completed in a lifetime, except for the practice of Buddhism. , Except for the practice of Buddhism, which is completely blessed by Amitabha, if you want to practice other methods, you only need to... For example, Zen or Tantra, you just choose one. It is impossible for you to achieve it in your life. the power of.
What's more, you need to practice meditation, and you need to practice secrets and then... Is there a way to achieve it? Now that you know that it is impossible, you know the answer, and it is impossible to achieve it. Then it becomes a connection in our Buddhism, ah, this Why does the microphone burn? It’s not me. It’s not me. Otherwise, it’s hard to talk about it. It’s like a sound from the underworld, doesn’t it look like it? It’s a sound floating from a distance. Okay, change another one. Oh, is our electricity too strong?
So we have to be clear about this concept, we don’t run around, we don’t want to run around.. here or there, especially in our dojo here, every method we practice has already been provided. That’s the most convenient, so why do we have to go around? Running? Another most important reason is to cultivate our virtues, our virtues.We have a predestined relationship with a place, a master, and a method. We just want to be honest, practical and sincere to make connections and interact with each other. Then if you run here and there, do you have any sincerity? No! Oh, no , No one is sincere.
If you are a person running around, there is no place where you really interact with sincerity to form relationships. Is there any way for such a person to improve our character? No way! Character, so do you understand? Character, character, no Speaking wrong, Taiwanese is not very good, and I'm afraid I don't speak clearly.It’s very important for us as practitioners to cultivate this character. If we are destined to a certain place, we must cherish it. On the one hand, we are protected by these three treasures. On the other hand, we must also devote ourselves to protect the dojo, how to protect it. ?If you have money to give money, you have money, you don’t have money, you don’t have power, come! The solemn dojo, it doesn’t matter, just do our best, we have merits, so that over time, we will not only have blessings and virtues, but we will also have Meditation, meditation!
Our meditation time is not that you have to go there to meditate in the deep mountains and forests before you can practice meditation. No, our minds are fixed in a method, in a dojo, and follow a master to learn a method. There is no change. On the one hand, we have a sincere intention to learn. On the other hand, after a long period of time, our meditation time will naturally come out. In this way, you will become another person in three years, three years; if you don’t believe it, try it, you Let’s test it first. It’s only three years. It’s okay. After three years, you’re still very young. It doesn’t matter, you definitely have to try it. This is also a precept, and a precept. No matter what we do, the same is true. meaning.

We are from Taiwan. I am a Taiwanese. There is a saying in Taiwan, "Apprenticeship for three years and four months of arts and crafts." I don’t know if there is such a saying. We must worship a master and learn what kind of technology in the world. Ah, it takes at least three years and four months to learn a technique from Master, and three years is a cycle. The most basic thing is that if a person is not determined, if he is not sincere, he needs to change his boss in three months. It’s that there is no way to make a difference in a lifetime. You have at least three years. It’s really not suitable. It doesn’t matter if you change places.Three years, you need to have.. Really have a real heart to learn, to understand, live in a place, learn to do a job, learn a thing, it takes at least three years before you can know if you are really suitable, or …Maybe you have achieved it in three years.
So this is a basic principle and commandment. We have to ask ourselves to be attentive in everything we do, and this is our sincerity! It means that we cherish and cherish this cause and condition, and then we are willing to be steadfast. , Honestly, we also want to practice both Fuhui and Hui, right? Running around is also very tiring. Running around is like something...like people who love to play. It’s fun here, and there’s fun too. Go around It seems to be fun to play, but how about playing till the end...?
I once met a layman in Taiwan. The old layman complained to me. She said that she had been running in Buddhism for XNUMX to XNUMX years and had a lot of bonds. She ran around in many temples, but she is old now. She felt very upset in her heart. She was afraid that no one would help her in the recitation when she died. I said, "You don’t have a lot of fate, how can you be afraid that no one can help you in the recitation?" What she said next was Karma is very heavy! She said, "I think people in Buddhism are very realistic." Very realistic...like to say...then...her tone is like saying that she has so many bonds. In the end, no... there may not necessarily be Buddhism people, fellow practitioners, or the person in charge of the temple, why didn't they give her back?
I asked her, "Which dojo do you always go to?" She said, "Just go here every three or five o'clock, and go there when three or five o'clock." I said that's right, your fate with others The knot is not deep, maybe you only go once for a long time, and others have forgotten you, right? If others want to be nice to you, they don’t know where to start. You just run away and don’t know what to do. Yes..., when this relationship is not deep, of course you will also feel uneasy, because you are not familiar with others at first, so you are afraid that if you have something, others will not be able to help you, or you will die At that time, no one came to help you with the recitation, and as a result, her inner conception was wrong, and it became a complaint, a complaint, and a three treasures.
I said, "This sentence of you is very heavy. You can't say it like that. When you say this sentence, all the Buddha disciples have been scolded by you, and everyone owes you." She said, "It's so realistic. Much!” The problem is that you didn’t really give. Everyone and every place of you got a bond and ran away. Maybe others have paid a lot to you... If we want to calculate this way; And maybe you have also created a lot of karma, and it is possible to have a lot of bad karma. It is someone else who is patience with you, and this kind of account is unclear.
So this kind of concept is wrong. When running around, it will make herself a waste of time. If you have been running for XNUMX to XNUMX years, there is no sense of security in her heart. Then she feels that her concept is wrong after listening to it.Who is to blame for a situation like this? Blame yourself, isn’t it a pity? So we have to be correct in this concept and then we have to choose a place, we really have a corresponding place, and then we have to find a way to choose a suitable one. The method of our ability to cultivate comes to major in, the next one is deep, the other ones do not matter, you must start from this, no matter what kind of method you cultivate, it doesn't matter.
Of course, in the end, you have to follow us to specialize in Pure Land. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a specialization now. It’s up to your own method.. Karma, you see the Medicine Master Tathagata too... He also asked the Eight Great Bodhisattvas to send you to the Paradise of Bliss. Tantric Buddhism is also Buddhism in the end, also...what is that...Yes, in the end, I also advise you to lead to the world of bliss. All schools and schools are the same. If you want to correspond with other dharma, of course, it doesn’t matter if you specialize , But remember to also recite Amitabha and practice the Pure Land Method, and then finally return your merits as a major to the world of bliss. If we say that our Pure Land Method now corresponds, we should directly specialize in it and don’t make any detours. You don’t have to go around the sideways, go straight... you don’t have to go back, chanting Amitabha is just going back, is that clear?

For example, when I came here this time, my task is to take you to and from life. So yesterday I took a questionnaire first, but after the questionnaire, I found out that today many of our fellow practitioners are new fellow practitioners. Of course, we can’t force you to ask for it. We will die soon, and we must first let you know about it first, and establish some understanding of the Western Pure Land of Bliss. After we truly understand it, at least we can’t say that we reject this Pure Land method. Then we will lose a good opportunity.
Some people say that this Amitabha Buddha is not auspicious to hear about Amitabha, because every time you see a person die on the road, it is to play Amitabha's Buddha name, "This is not auspicious, not auspicious...", hurry around.. Take a detour and dare not yet. On that path, some people said, "Oh! This Buddha Amitabha is dedicated to taking people to death! I still don't want to die." He will reject him in his heart. I don't know that Amitabha is the king of Buddhas and is the most auspicious.What does Amitabha Buddha mean? Immeasurable light, immeasurable life.Infinite light, light is wisdom, infinite lifespan is blessing, life is blessing, the most complete wisdom, the most complete blessing is Amitabha.
So if we see someone else, if you want to make a good relationship with anyone, you should put your hands together: "I wish you Amitabha! Immeasurable light and immeasurable life." To bless him, it is generally said that "Namou Amitabha" is …Nan Mu is refuge, what should I advise others to refuge? To refuge is to rely on, refuge in Amitabha, refuge in immeasurable wisdom, immeasurable life span, we wish him a long life, immeasurable light, immeasurable wisdom, and immeasurable life span. Isn’t this very good? Auspicious? Isn't it auspicious? Yes!
I used to be like this when I was preaching in Malaysia. When I was preaching, I also recorded that video tape. There was an old Bodhisattva who had good roots. There were more than XNUMX people in her family with descendants and grandchildren. Almost half of the people who practiced in the dojo were members of her family. She also asked her children and grandchildren to practice together, but she herself did not dare to recite Amitabha.Later, after I went, her children and grandchildren wanted to save their patriarch, so they invited me to dinner, she sat next to me, and I told her like this, and when I was finished, I immediately taught her to read a sentence to me. I didn't dare to read it before, I taught her to follow me.
After I finished reading, I asked her how she felt. She said that she would be fine, she would not be afraid, not as terrible as that. Before, she dared to recite Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, not Amitabha, but the world of bliss came more than hell. Horror! Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is busy saving sentient beings in hell, she is not afraid of Amitabha, she is not afraid of going to hell or going to Paradise, so it is a big misunderstanding!
Later, after I finished talking to her, she turned around immediately, and the conception knew it and turned around immediately.The next day, she brought all her son-in-laws who had not yet converted, and all brought them to Amitabha and the Three Jewels.
Therefore, we must first have a correct understanding of the name of Amitabha Buddha; then why do we come to hold
This Anle Buddha also talks about the topic of the Pure Land Method, because all the methods in our Buddhism, any sect of Zen or Tantric, only our Pure Land Method is the simplest and the simplest. It is the easiest to practice, and anyone can do it. , All can be achieved, and the result achieved is still the most complete. Let you be a Buddha, and you can be a Buddha in this life; then, where is the difficulty? It's hard to believe.Some people will still say, "How can there be such a good thing?" Right? "I have no good roots, and my karma is so heavy. How can it be possible that I can become a Buddha without cultivating in this life and relying on Amitabha?" It's really hard to believe. If you don't believe it, it really means that he is not good enough.

We continue to look at this text now, we can understand in the "Amitabha Sutra", all of which have been told to us, we learned this sentence yesterday: "Sariputra. We must not live in another country with less roots and merits. "This scripture tells us that if the good roots are not enough, the merits and blessings are not enough, some people have not encountered it, and some people do not want to believe it. This is all the merits of the less good roots. Because of predestined conditions, this kind of person has no way to die, no way to achieve, no way to become a Buddha in this lifetime, and the blessing is not enough! What the people of the world say is that this person is not blessed! , You see, there are really fewer good roots.
He doesn’t believe it. If someone tells him something deceptive or evil, oh, he just listens to it. Doesn’t this have good roots? Right!? He talks to the evil law and the outside world. The law is more corresponding. It’s like saying that we are humans. The more kind-hearted people love to be with good people, and they like to go to clean places. Look at that animal, low-level animals like that cockroach, do you like it very much? Go to wet places, wet and smelly places, and it will respond to that.So depending on what we love, we know where the good roots are. If we like to eat, drink, gamble, make bad friends, go to some noisy places or do bad things, it means that you have no good roots. , There is no good fortune.
Of course this kind of person encounters a great Dafa like ours, and he has no way to believe it; therefore, we have some new practitioners today to remember that it is very rare to have this kind of cause and conditions, and millions of catastrophes will happen! Even if you say you I don’t understand this truth yet...it’s okay, there’s no way to believe it right away...it’s okay, it’s all normal, and many people don’t believe it, but don’t doubt it first, don’t reject it. If you reject it, after the opportunity is lost, you really will be after you Will complain and regret, then really Amitabha, at least don't doubt first and then study hard, we also have CD-ROM connections.
At least if you don’t want to learn it, you have to understand the content first, and then you decide whether you want to learn it, right? You first understand it, if it’s really not suitable for you to learn, you think it’s too simple, and it’s okay if you want to learn more difficult. If you give up, you won’t regret it. Karma is not yet mature. It doesn’t matter if you want to practice other methods. It doesn’t matter. You must at least understand first, right? Don’t just reject it right away and say, "How can it be that simple?" ,impossible things!".Wow! That's really a pity, a gem is to be given to you, you still treat it as glass, I don’t want glass; you are deceived, and later: "Ah!!" It’s useless... Now, it's too late.
We must know that we can encounter this method today, and if you can immediately believe it, it means that you are the one who wants to be a Buddha in this life! Yesterday we said: "The master among the people, the wonderful among the people." The sutra says "Good men, good women", why... why do we talk about good men and good women? Our karma is so heavy. Good men and good women are because if we recite the Buddha, we are the Buddha, and those who recite the Buddha are the good men. , Good women, this means that because we recite the Buddha, we become good people, originally bad people, originally people with heavy karma, because we recite the Buddha, and the Buddha gives us blessings, we become good men and good women. This means that .
We climbed into this very good relationship! It's like saying that we are ordinary people, we are all like nine to five, and we are living with a dead salary, and one day we are suddenly attracted by the richest man here. To marry you home, or to say that this man gave you a good position, pulled you up and let you be the general manager, and suddenly you became... from an obscure common people, suddenly became something. .. A person who has a status and everyone admires and admires is immediately different, right? Is this possible? Yes, if you meet such a good fate, you will have it, a good opportunity, yours Destiny will change right away, right?
If you girl accidentally marries a billionaire, billions of us Indonesian currency is not that much? Yes, is it too much? It’s too much, it won’t be counted, just a few million, a few million. Yes, it costs several million to eat noodles, do you want it? No concept, I don’t count this Indonesian currency. Anyway, it’s a rich and rich person who suddenly asked you Cinderella to become a princess and marry you home. At first, you were a very inconspicuous person, and no one paid attention to it. If you suddenly became the wife of a rich family, would you suddenly have a different identity? That's the same thing.
Men are too. One day you are lucky enough to meet someone... a chairman, he fell in love with you very much and said, "Well... this young man is good! Although it looks very desolate now, there is no effort at all, but Now... he can be cultivated in the future, he must be successful." He immediately promoted you and made you a manager as a general manager. Your identity and your destiny will be changed immediately, right? Is it possible? So Can you believe Amitabha? Amitabha is like this, he is unconditional! Because he is rich and wise, he is willing to pull us out, we have to believe in him, if you don’t believe and run away, you have no chance, right? ? Isn't it a pity!?

Buddha Amitabha has the ability, why? What is Buddha? What is Buddha? A Buddha is a person with perfect wisdom and blessings. He is called a Buddha, and he is qualified to be called a Buddha. This sutra tells us: "Amitabha Since becoming a Buddha, the ten calamities are now."Before the ten kalpas, before the ten kalpas, he was already a Buddha, so he has this ability, and there is this way that we can promote every sentient being and suffering sentient beings. He can promote us. He has the power.Then you see, our scriptures say that the Buddhas in the ten directions are here to prove that Buddha Shakyamuni was born in India, and he is also a living person!
This is not superstition. We are not superstitious in Buddhism. His princes don't want to do it. He will practice asceticism until the final attainment of Buddhahood and attain Buddhahood. If there is really a way to read one thought without rebirth, then of course you can die. The problem is that it’s impossible for us. For us, this concept is wrong and there is no way to achieve it. "If one day to if seven days", this means that since we encountered the Pure Land Method and began to recite the Buddha.. From the beginning to the time when we passed away, you have not repented, you all demanded to be born in the Paradise of Bliss, this real demand The mind of life has not changed, and it will not change the mind. This is called: "If one day. If seven days. One mind is not chaotic." What is it? Other bodhisattvas have high wisdom, others who practice meditation, secret meditation, and wisdom, but he is more specialized in his own major, and he is not so specialized in the Pure Land Method.The realm of the Pure Land Method is that the Great Bodhisattva has no way to understand it. It is the method that the Buddha can say without asking. No one can ask it. There is no way anyone can enlighten it. It is the realm of the Buddha. What do people say: "Ten years of repairing can make the same boat, and a hundred years of repairing can sleep together." Then if we want to sit on the same boat, just like we have to take the same plane and the same bus now, it will take ten years to repair. In the past life, it takes ten years to cultivate the cause and condition, and it takes a hundred years to be a husband and wife. Only when we can do the same kind of affiliation, at least for thousands of years, can we be like-minded and work in the same direction. This is sometimes better than the relatives. It's still close, because the individual is walking on a personal path, not chatting or understanding. If we don’t have similar interests, then the relationship will not be close. The soil of the earth, the whole ground, the fine sand in the soil of the whole world, so many people can no longer be humans, where can they not be humans? Well, if we don’t find the way out first, it’s really dangerous. We’ll go all the time in our next life. You see, our ancestors or those who passed away in the family have asked me where I am now. Where..., most of them are going to the ghost road, which is terrible. We don’t need to be ghosts when we die. We don’t have to be ghosts after we die. It is very pitiful to be ghosts. We are going to be Buddhas, so we have to make arrangements first. Okay, after we are finished, we will be stable. What should we do next when we are stable? We live normally, except that we need to cultivate fortune or go to work to make money. It doesn't matter, there is no difference. Then why don't we arrange it first? Right?

Why is there such a singularity? Because this sutra can keep us from turning back and be able to be Buddhas in our lives. "Amitara Sanya Sanbodhi" means to be a Buddha and become a Buddha, so it is the most singular, that is to say, there are some. It can only give us the benefits of elementary school and middle school, but what can this sutra allow us to get? The research institute allows you to get the result of a doctor, so it is the most extraordinary, it is like this.Each sutra is very good, but its focus is different, and it has different benefits for all beings. Some people don’t want to be high above and just want to be in elementary school. It doesn’t matter, just let you be in elementary school, as you please. Whatever you want, I will give you more if you want more, and I will give you less if you want less. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have no opinion. If you are happy, it is fine.
So we are very comfortable in studying Buddhism, don’t worry, we won’t force you to become a doctor now. It doesn’t matter if you want to cultivate slowly like this, but it’s important to be true and don’t use fake ones. Fake, you are wasting your own time, do you understand this? Honestly live in a dojo, be motivated, have money to pay, and work hard, to cultivate your own blessings. After we cultivate this good root, we will get well. The fruit of the reward, don’t walk around, you don’t have this sincerity if you walk around, just play here and there, and in the end the time wasted is yourself.Like the old Bodhisattva I just talked about, after running the dojo for XNUMX to XNUMX years, he has a lot of fate, but in the end there is no place where the fate is deep, so I feel uneasy, and I am afraid that no one will follow her to help me in the future. Poor, but she made a mistake by herself, and there is no way. This also makes us vigilant.

Don’t doubt. Doubt means less good roots. It doesn’t matter if you have to take it slowly. Anyway, I want to come first. I want to enjoy it first. We have to get rid of suffering first.
