Well, in the past, many ancestors of his ancestors explained that one mind was not confused, and that one thought did not reproduce, and they could not be wrong, but this was based on the perspective of their own sect and the principle of self-reliance to learn "precept, concentration, and wisdom" to cultivate "one mind." In the "Three Sutras of Pure Land" recorded before, we can also say that we have all talked about the establishment of confidence in the death, as well as the answers to related theories and questions. Then we need to go deeper in this theory. The main goal of the major part of the discussion is to help fellow practitioners to reach the standard of high-grade and high-grade rebirth as far as possible in the quality of the deceased life.So we have to learn a section of the scriptures in the "Guan Jing" "Shang Pin Shang Sheng Zhang", and then through the explanations of Master Shandao in the "Guan Jing Si Tie Shu", we will learn, and hope that when we die in the future The tastes are all top grades.
Let’s look at a passage first: “If there are sentient beings who wish to rebirth in another country, who have three hearts, even if they are reborn, how three are the ones, one is sincere, the two are deep-hearted, and the three return to aspirations, and those who have three hearts. This passage is the verse in the "Guan Jing". From this passage, we can also confirm that the Pure Land Method achieves the conditions for rebirth in the West. It is not in meditation, but in these three minds. "Those with three minds must Be born in another country", the scriptures speak very clearly.
So what we have to do is how to truly have these three hearts, "sincere, deep, and devotion." It is easy to understand in words, but this state is not easy to get into, because we ordinary people themselves are greedy, anger, and delusion. "It’s a physical nature, so it’s not easy to be able to show "sincerity and deep heart." Therefore, we must be guided by the great virtues of our patriarch to allow us to enter this state bit by bit. We truly have three hearts. You will be able to feel the rewards of high quality products.
Master Shandao’s explanation Let’s look at a section of the content. He explained the "sincerity." He said: "One is sincere, the most is true, and the sincere is true. If you want to understand the practice and practice of all beings, you must be true to your heart, nothing more. He is virtuous and diligent, embracing false greed, evil, false and treacherous. It is regarded as a snake and scorpion. Although it has three karma, it is called the good of miscellaneous poison, also known as the deed of false, and it is not the real karma. To be such a person who walks with peace of mind, even if he is hard-hearted, walks eagerly at XNUMX o'clock in the day and night, and rushes to be like a scorching one, naming the goodness of miscellaneous poisons, and those who want to return to this miscellaneous poisonous journey, and those who seek survival in the pure land of Buddha, must not return ."to here.
This passage is a revelation by Master Shandao in the "Guanjing Si Tie Shu", explaining what is meant by "sincere heart". It is true, true is true, sincere is true, and there is really no falsehood. Then this passage emphasizes The thing is that we must use our sincerity to make a wish to survive.Some people say, alas!This world is very bitter, so I ask for rebirth, usually because my mouth wants to die, but I don't really want to go in my heart. It is a common mentality that ordinary people often have, and I may not have noticed it.

(XNUMX) Relying on the Buddha's power and having three hearts is the reason for rebirth
Therefore, Master Shandao reminds us that we must make a wish from our true heart. If we are still mixed with all kinds of false and miscellaneous goodness and thoughts, even though we have the three karma, even our body, speech, mind, body are doing good, and our mouth is also When we recite the Buddha, we think that we have already made a wish. In fact, these are all kinds of good and false deeds! Therefore, in our practice, especially when we rebirth and recite the Buddha, we want to request the rebirth of bliss. Can’t rest assured!
Because we are easy to deceive ourselves, and also easy to deceive others.This is our habit of robbery without beginning, so Master Shandao specially reminded us that if we do not use our heart to inspire our sincerity, then those who want to return to this miscellaneous journey to survive in the Pure Land of the Buddha must not do this, nor can they die. Therefore, the Amitabha Sutra tells why people who have reborn from the Pure Land Method must have "more virtuous roots, more merits, and more causes and conditions."
There are no other conditions for rebirth in the Pure Land. Even if you break the precepts and the five evils and ten evils can be reborn, you are afraid that you don’t really want to be reborn. So whether you can rebirth, or even whether you can rebirth at the top grade, is the key here, and it doesn’t require you to recite the Buddha. Only if you have kung fu and the high level of meditation for chanting Buddhism, you can be top grade, no.
The Arahant’s meditation is high enough. If he does not have the heart to make a wish to survive, or if he makes a wish, but the sincerity is not enough, because some people, the habits of those who rely on themselves are always somewhat arrogant, no I have a habit of relying XNUMX% on the Buddha and relying on others, so that habit may not be able to correspond to the Buddha so much. If this is the case, the taste of rebirth may not necessarily be top grade.
So don’t think...Oh!When I recite the Buddha, I read "One mind is not chaotic", that is, "One thought does not produce a single mind." My taste will be higher, not necessarily. From this scripture and the explanation of the master of Shandao, we are very clear to be sincere and more. It is easy to show the sincerity of the talents of Sangenduofu. This kind of people are usually very honest and simple children or old Bodhisattvas. This is the kind of people who are very kind in the past.

So we have indeed seen from the records of the "Death to Life" and so on, those who are standing and walking, there is also an old Bodhisattva who walks while walking, halfway through the walk, and then he died without getting sick, then this must be High grade rebirth, "foresee that the time will come, die without disease, rebirth freely",
Some are standing, some sitting, and those who die while walking. What are the characteristics of these people?Just kindness is "professional." A professional can show sincerity. He will never do miscellaneous cultivation. Please pay more attention to these old bodhisattvas around you. These are the objects we really want to learn from.
It's really ordinary people...the smarter people, the higher the education, the more capable people, the less likely they are to meet the requirements, that is to say, usually this kind of people are more correspondingly self-reliant and not accustomed to relying on others, because they are arrogant. The heart feels that it’s good at it, so it’s inevitable that it’s not easy to show that it’s necessary to show sincerity and rely XNUMX% on the Buddha to correspond with the Buddha.
So we want to have a high grade of rebirth, and even if we want to rebirth, regardless of the upper, middle and lower generations, we must have these three hearts. The higher the purity of these three hearts, the higher your grade.If it is relatively shallow, and your sincere heart is not so enough or not so enough, it means that the middle-class middle-aged and the lower-class have passed away. The level of this grade is determined from here.
So what we usually do is how to make our own good roots continue to show up, how to make ourselves more and more humble, see our own shortcomings more and more, and constantly surrender our arrogance. , Until we fully admit that we are a sinful life and death mortal, there is no way to go, only the Buddha can save us, and we must rely XNUMX% on Amitabha’s will power, we will have the opportunity to be liberated, if our deep mind, body, speech and mind can be all three karma When this condition is reached, there will be no problem in passing away, and there will be opportunities for the older generation to pass away. This is where we must continue to learn and work hard every day.

Then Master Shandao said: "What is truth? Diligently cultivate oneself in the true heart and other goodness, and praise the goodness of all sentient beings in the three karma. What we just talked about is from the mentality of mind, we must be sincere and sincere.Now the master specifically tells us what the "real appearance and sincere appearance" look like, that is, diligently cultivating "being good from others, and admiring the goodness of all sentient beings in the three karma."
This is what we usually talk about. A person who truly has a sincere heart and wants to live in the bliss world must completely see through this world, let go of his selfishness, and ask for only one thing. The thing is rebirth in the bliss world, so of course there is nothing to ask for in the world. For the rest of the day, he will naturally practice diligently from the mortal and other good things, and will fully pay for all beings, unconditionally pay, such a Transformation, the manifestation of the goodness of the three karma, can confirm that the faith that we are seeking for survival is sent from the true heart.
We have talked to fellow practitioners about these concepts before, if you talk about it today, okay!I now have confidence in my death. It is very simple. I now know that as long as I rely XNUMX% on the power of the Buddha and believe and wish to recite the Buddha, then you feel that you have graduated. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the truth. The question is whether there is a share of you among the graduates. , It depends on whether there is a real change in your body and behavior, when you start to change, you must change now. If there is no change in the present moment, if you are as stingy, unwilling to give, and selfish as before, then you have not decided to die now. .
As long as you believe and wish to recite the Buddha, you can decide to rebirth right now, but it's not you, because you don't have a true heart, and what you send is not what you send from your true heart.It depends on when your behavior begins to let go, and when you begin to show "no need, no self" in this world. What is that?You can give up everything, including your own foreign and internal wealth, and your heart and mind are for the benefit of sentient beings. Therefore, some fellow practitioners also use this speculative mind to practice the Pure Land Method. This is not allowed.Damn!Anyway, I rely XNUMX% on the power of Buddha, then I will be relieved, and I will not do anything.Wrong!Then dial no cause and effect, cause and effect will not work!

(XNUMX) Cultivating causes from the fruit land of the Buddha is the superiority and uniqueness of the Pure Land Method
The reason why the Pure Land Method is easy does not mean that you don’t need to cultivate. If you don’t cultivate the cause, how can you get the result? It’s because our body and mind are handed over to Buddha Amitabha at the moment. Now there is no self. Being able to integrate with the merits of Amitabha Buddha, with Amitabha's blessing power and merit blessing power, our current body, mouth, mind and mind are in the process of creating the three karma. We have no suffering, we are very comfortable, and this cultivation cause can be cultivated very well. Joy, the difference is in this place.
It’s not that you don’t need to cultivate the cause, or that many people don’t understand it, so some self-reliant people don’t believe it. How can they believe it? How could there be such a cheap thing? The Rebirth in Paradise is fake and deceptive. They don’t believe it. From a causal point of view, it’s really impossible. If there is no need to cultivate the cause, there will be results. Of course, people don’t believe it and there is no way to persuade those intellectuals. So if this part can be understood, then they I can believe it.
It is true that you have to accumulate merit by cultivating the cause by yourself. After accumulating good root merit to a certain level, then you can enjoy the rewards you have cultivated. Therefore, there is no advantage to gain from practicing the Pure Land Method. You still have to cultivate the cause, but This cultivation cause is very strange, and the wonderful place is here. If we rely on our own cultivation of the cause, it may be infinite calamity. At most, you will have three great assassinations after you are enlightened, and the process is "difficult to do, to do, to do. "Tolerance and endurance" is very hard. It is so hard that we are not qualified to practice in terms of our immediate nature. If we are not qualified to practice, then it is impossible to achieve it in other words.
But we can achieve the Pure Land Method, and we can also cultivate without hard work. It is the "safety method". It is also necessary to cut off evil and cultivate good from the three karma, but this process is "cultivation without cultivation, cultivation without cultivation." It's from the Buddha's fruit ground to break the evil and cultivate the good. This part is very wonderful, very extraordinary and incredible. This is completely guided by the blessing of Amitabha Buddha's willingness and skill, and the most wonderful place is in this place.
This is also difficult for our thinking to reach, but as long as we are obedient, you can naturally experience this kind of fun in the process of making. You will feel that you are practicing and not cultivating, so whether you feel it or not, we always It will feel that the joy is constant, and the joy of the Dharma is endless. From the moment we believe in chanting the Buddha, the faith is determined, and the joy of the Dharma is full every day.

Cultivation without cultivation, although we are also breaking evil and cultivating good, but what we do is willing to rejoice. Anyway, these are what I don’t want. I don’t want things in the world. The world of bliss is so extraordinary and perfect, blessings are perfect, merits are perfect. Naturally, I don’t want to be greedy. I am happy, happy, willing, and grateful, because what we give away is incomparable to what we will get. It’s too small a case. , So it’s okay to be very comfortable and natural, so I dropped it.
Why can we have such a pleasure? Being so comfortable, you don't have to be hard to do it, it's unbearable and tolerable, just cultivating a "house" can be so different.Most people ask him to give up a little, oops!The pain is terrible, right? How can we give up the more we give up, the more happy we are now, the big house is also happy, the small house is also happy, everything is very comfortable, how can there be such a big difference?It is the blessing of the Buddha's power and the skill of the Buddha to guide us. It is also necessary to cultivate the cause to achieve results, and we also rely on ourselves to cultivate the cause. This is called "cultivation without cultivation, and cultivation without cultivation."
It’s not a trivial matter to explain this part clearly, so if you really understand this direction carefully, you will feel that you are also cultivating the sixth degree, you are also cultivating the precepts, and you are also living. But compared to other methods without the blessings of the Buddha, these people who rely entirely on their own "precepts, concentration, and wisdom" to learn, it is almost a huge difference between the usefulness and achievement of the whole process.
Therefore, the fellow practitioners who we have made a vow must examine themselves. This part is very important. It is to examine whether you can pass away in this life, and whether your current faith in passing away is safe, stable, unstable, and impossible. Fortunately, self-deception, when the time comes, hey!Why didn't the Buddha come and blamed the Buddha for not working? At that time, it was too late to blame, because we will fall three ways out of ten in our next life. You don't know when you want to come out and find Amitabha to settle the account.
Therefore, I would like to remind everyone here to observe whether our own beliefs and wishes are true from a change in our own body, mouth and mind, and whether we can truly regenerate Buddha in this life. If not, we must quickly reflect on and make an adjustment, and we must have this. The three hearts are "sincere, deep, and wishful."

"When you enter the church, you will put your palms together and kneel, and you will be chanting Buddha. You will not be exhausted, even if it is cold, you will also sweat. In this way, it expresses the sincerity. For more than XNUMX years, there is no place to sleep, no sleep, except for bathing. Undressing, guarding the precepts, slenderness and no offense, not looking at women, respecting all people, even novice monks, absolutely no fame and fortune, far-flung jokes, doing everything, striving for offerings, eating and drinking clothes, four things are fertile, They are not self-contained, and will give back to give good food to the chef, provide for the disciples, eat crude and evil, eat cheese, do not drink, all have supplements, use more than XNUMX volumes of "Amitabha Sutra", painting There are more than three hundred paintings of the Pure Land in disguised form. When you see the bad temples and the bad towers, you will learn about the camps, burning the lights to continue to shine, every year, there are three mantles and bowls, no one will be washed, and there will always be no change. This paragraph is recorded in "The Legend of Pure Land", which describes the life and behavior of Master Shandao, wow!This is even more diligent than these ascetics who are "difficult to do and can do" by self-employed practitioners. Why is this so? Can we die without breaking the precepts?Can all five evils and ten evils die?Indeed, but even if it is so, a truly sincere person to the extreme, what he manifests is that he will be more diligent than anyone, even more than a self-reliant person.
This is the power of the Buddha’s blessings. We practice on our own, for our own sake, for the sake of our own accomplishment, without other help in our hearts. The energy of that power is much smaller. If there is Buddha’s blessing, we are inside. This kind of original energy; powerful energy will be triggered, then you will naturally hold your body, and the "precepts, concentration, and wisdom" in your life will be more diligent, and will appear more diligent. shape.
This is shown to us by Master Shandao himself. It is ashamed that we generally can’t achieve this level yet, but it’s true that we will naturally tend to feel that our precepts are more rigorous day by day, and day by day we will feel that we will like to recite the Buddha even more. Then there will be continuous improvement in all aspects of "cultivating goodness" in the "walking door", which is natural.

(XNUMX) Only when you meditate on the Buddha with the sincere heart and no demand can you correspond to the Dharma
The previous paragraph talked about "rehearing the Buddha with one heart, but not exhausting it." This is to describe that Master Shandao is very engaged when he is reciting the Buddha. It is no wonder that it takes less than three years to achieve the samādhi of Buddha recitation in this way.Naturally, we have attained the chanting of Buddhism. We usually reciting Buddhism for three years. Without the blessings of the Buddha, we are practicing Kungfu to subdue our delusions, and treat the delusions as the enemy with that kind of antagonism: I will kill you.
That kind of thought is very hurtful, physical, and very tired. Relying on your own strength, relying on your own strength, this kind of mind, no matter how powerful you are, it is a state of consumption, so it can’t last and your strength is limited, because you Very strong Your delusion is stronger than you, and it is more tenacious. If you want to get rid of it, it won't get rid of it. So, is there any use for three years of thinking of this kind of mind?It doesn't have much effect.
I've tried this. I haven't read it for three years, but I can experience it after a few short-term retreats to recite the Buddha. The more I meditate, the heavier my troubles become. I am angry and I want to hit the wall. I walk around while practicing. Just hit it and forget it, because there are a lot of delusions, and it hurts when I think about it, so I just hit it and see if it will be less painful, it will be like this!Of course, my own troubles are also my own gains and losses. Because of the pressure at the time, people guarded me with me, waiting to see the results!And I have to explain to myself, so I am under pressure.
Not only is this kind of mind wrong, but the mind that wants to get rid of the delusion is wrong, and it also puts pressure on yourself. Therefore, if you work hard in this situation, it must be wrong, and you will definitely not see kung fu.That Master Shandao always reads about sweating even in the cold weather. Of course, he is very diligent and devoted. But what is his reason for? He is sincere. It is because he has "sincere heart" and he is happy. A state of revelation, so it corresponds to the Fa, the process is very joyful, and then the kung fu is accomplished naturally and unconsciously.

(XNUMX) Recite the Buddha to get the blessings of natural, less sleep and less diet
So in terms of sleep, "No sleep for more than XNUMX years, no sleep." Wow!It seems that there is no need for a squatter, no need to sleep. This is difficult for us to understand. Why don’t you need to sleep for XNUMX years? No sleep, but we haven’t read a lot of detailed explanations on this. Some people explain that there is no sleep, so it is also possible. This is because we all know that we have this practice when we recite Buddhism. We cannot sleep for XNUMX days and we are practicing sutras.
