Today is not bad, because the third show shows that all the people who come here are interested in cultivating together. You see, it's still raining outside today!Last time there were some fellow practitioners who really did, and there were also those who couldn't come if they wanted to.It’s not easy for us fellow practitioners to go out!These overseas Chinese fellow practitioners who have immigrated abroad are also very hard. They are probably polarized. One is here to provide for the elderly, and the other is here to work hard. It is also very hard.It can be destined, in fact, oh!Strictly speaking, all the causes and conditions are inspired by one's own heart. There is no such thing as you can't find time or do, unless you don't want to do it. If you have a heart and aspirations, the cause and conditions can be fulfilled.

Those who are often entangled in world affairs should reflect on it and don’t say: "Oh! I am really very interested." As a result, your time, your money, and your mind are all used in the world law, maybe you too It is not intentional, you don't know, and then you will always be led by the nose by these worldly causes and controlled, and then you feel helpless in your heart, and you will feel that you really have the intention to seek the law, that is to misrecognize the news.In fact, you are really a person who has the intention to practice. You will definitely overcome all difficulties. Unless one or two times, there is really no way for a while, but you will definitely work hard in this direction.If you want to pursue money, then of course money will never be enough. Then you have to spend a lot of time to accomplish this goal. Of course, you don't have time to practice. This is a certain truth.

He said that the mage was very beautiful, and then said that my voice was very magnetic.Today is more magnetic. Come together this morning, but it's less obvious now.I woke up this morning and found that it seemed to have caught a cold, but I worshipped Buddha desperately in the morning, and I usually worshipped it every day, but I worshipped more in the morning and sweated, and now I feel better.

Originally, when I came to Canada on the first day, I had long heard that fellow initiates reminded me and cared about me, telling me to bring more clothes to keep warm.It was probably over ten degrees when it arrived on the first day, which was okay!It’s not very cold. I covered it with a thin quilt at night. I fell asleep very comfortably. I was very tired. As a result, I woke up from the cold in the middle of the night.In fact, I had a cold on the first day, but it has been almost three weeks since then.

Every day they see me eating a lot, thinking that I don't eat for lunch, so I eat a little more in the morning. In fact, I have a good appetite and a good spirit, but there is no such thing as an unacceptable phenomenon.Then why did I catch a cold on the first day, but I have been okay for the past three weeks?Because I worship the Buddha every day, suppressing it, and holding it down.But in fact, I had already caught a cold at that time, and the temperature difference between ours has been very large these few days, and sometimes it has soared to nearly XNUMX degrees, is there?Suddenly it was like this again.That’s why our iron-struck body is not good. It’s not the incorruptible body yet, so this morning it has a little bit of magnetism, and it’s really magnetized.Then why mention this?Here we can, because many fellow practitioners have wrong ideas, thinking that if you have practiced, or if you are blessed by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, then you will definitely not get sick. That's wrong.If you get sick, it means you haven't cultivated, it's not like this.

You see, I had a cold for three weeks last week, but I actually caught a cold on the first day, but I can stay down because I worship Buddha every day.If I can be more diligent and have better skills, I might be able to get rid of it in two days, and the cold germs will be gone. It depends on your efforts, but it must be the strength of the Three Treasures.Some people say that I have studied Buddhism for so long, so why are there a lot of disasters?Let me tell you that if you do not learn, you will suffer more disasters. You have to think like this because we have learned Buddhism and practiced. Through the blessing of the Three Jewels, we can make big things smaller and small things into nothing.Therefore, whether a practitioner has any kung fu is not to see if he will encounter difficulties, not to see if he will get sick, but to see if he encounters difficulties, and to see what kind of attitude he will face when he is sick. No trouble?It's still the same and very comfortable, as if it has passed it, I have passed mine.

(XNUMX) Being close to the major practitioners for a special cause and feeling their mighty virtue and strength

Like us, the old master of Lantau Island, Hong Kong, he is the method of the old monk Xuyun. He has passed away two years ago. He is really a great practitioner. I am very lucky to have the opportunity to be close to him.There is no chance for ordinary women, because we have the Po Lin Temple in Hong Kong!That is the Taoist style of the old monk Xuyun, who practiced asceticism, deep in the mountains and forests!Then the precepts are also very strict. It is impossible for women to follow the monk and the abbot of the precepts. Then I am the third year before this blessing comes.

In the afternoon, the waiter also had a good fate and gave me a chance. We have some masters, so they accompany us for a walk in the afternoon. He is in a wheelchair.Then I stayed close to him for a full XNUMX days, at least two hours a day, and there was so much time that I sometimes didn’t want to stay. I said, “Master, I’m going to meditate.” This is because it’s so common, every day. cause.In fact, this is very hard to come by. How many people want to take a plane, then put aside their physical, mental, and even family assets, and then come to Hong Kong to get close to our holy master. His virtue is inspired, and it is difficult to get close to good knowledge.

During that time, I really felt deeply, what is a great practitioner?His kind of virtue and kind of skill are something we may not keep up with for several lifetimes. Most people see: "Oh! I'm sick, and so old, in a wheelchair, maybe he doesn't have much practice." Actually, we can feel it right next to him. So, of course you have the ability to distinguish, and you have to have a little ability to distinguish.

How to judge?The feeling that Master gave me is a person who is separated from body and mind. How can his body be physical body not be bad?He has been ascetic for many years, and his nutrition is not very adequate. It is not even!Not paying attention to the body, and then Lantau Island is very famous for being wet. It is surrounded by islands, that is, it is all sea.And the geographical condition of the island is very, very humid. There is no reason to say that the body is not bad.

But with his spirit and his eyes, you don’t dare to be weird, but he is very kind and easy to get close to him. You just want to climb on his head, and you won’t be afraid that he will fix you like this. , The kind of feeling like grandpa.But there is majesty on the face, that is, you dare not to be blame, dare not to be obedient, dare not to be diligent, why?People are so diligent, we will be ashamed.Elderly people like this to give to all beings, and then have such a mighty meditation power, he naturally has a receptive force that makes it impossible for us to be too slack, separate body and mind!Let's imagine it.

People who are born with minor illnesses can scream, even commit suicide, right?He has no endurance, that is, he has no meditation and wisdom.As for the spiritual practitioner, he can eliminate all the hardships and hardships on the body.Then, all kinds of right and wrong slander, all will not affect his heart. It is not that he will not encounter these hardships and say, "Ah, this person has cultivated so well, why is there anyone criticizing him?" You need to know. !Do you want to know who is criticizing him?If the person criticizing him is a good person or a saint, then this person really has a problem.

If the critics are those who make trouble, it means that he is influential and that he has practice. The demons are worthy of them, right?He is influential!It may be a serious relationship that has affected others, and that demon has suffered losses, of course he came to criticize!You have to analyze it like this!You can see the truth.Let's take this cause to chat with everyone.Then you can see any cause and condition, and you can talk about the Dharma. If you see the Vimalakirti layman is ill, he deliberately, because the cause of his illness opened a very exciting prologue, "Vimalakirti Sutra", Manjushri came to ask for Dharma , There is also a relationship between Sariputta and him. We will talk about the "Forty-Eight Vows" to Consummation today and the next session. If we can't finish it, we will recite it to Consummation, and the "Forty-Eight Vows" will read it again. This will be the same.We can talk long and short, but what we are going to talk about today is very important.As far as the old Xiu is concerned, some concepts can be clarified to help you truly build confidence in the rebirth.In addition, I have to explain it in detail. Okay, now we are officially sending out the lectures today, but some scriptures are in the last lecture. If you don’t bring them, read them with me: "When I was a Buddha, the light was boundless, and the ten directions were radiant. Victory over the Buddhas is better than the light of the sun and the moon, trillions of times.If there are sentient beings, see my light, touch their bodies, be happy, be kind, and be kind to our country in the next life.If you don’t, don’t take enlightenment. ".This is the seventh paragraph of the vow. There are two wishes in it: the thirteenth wish "Immeasurable Brightness" and the fourteenth wish "Touch the light and happiness".

"Brightness is boundless, illuminating all directions, surpassing all Buddhas. "If we really understand this sentence, we will have a truly supreme admiration for Buddha Amitabha. He is superior to all Buddhas, so where does his superiority appear?He uses light to show his surpassing, and his light can spread to the ten realms.In other words, any sentient being, from the Enlightenment Bodhisattva down to the hell sentient beings, can be captured by him. In hell, it is not only the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva who is in charge, but Amitabha will also go there to save sentient beings.Without a Buddha, let alone a Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva is not yet complete, and his manifestation is not yet complete. No Buddha is superior to Amitabha. Only when we have such an understanding of Amitabha can we develop true admiration.

Then some fellow practitioners found it very strange, isn't every Buddha's realm equal?The Buddha, the Buddha and the Tao are the same, and his understanding and realm should all be the same.This is the part of the internal evidence from his practice. It is like saying that we have been in class from elementary school to graduate school. Then the graduate school will get XNUMX points. Assuming your thesis has the highest score, then the highest is the highest, and the highest is the perfect one. One of the standards.Everyone who has cultivated to this level must be equal. This is the case from the realm of internal evidence, but it is different from the perspective of willingness.

You see, all our beings also have Buddha nature!We are no different from the Buddha, in essence there is no difference.But we are still beings, right?Because our karma is different, then Buddha and Buddha have different aspirations and aspirations.The vows made by Buddha Amitabha surpassed all the Buddhas, so when he reaches Consummation, his retributions and retributions appearing in the phenomenal realm are vastly different. Each Buddha is different. Is that clear?Therefore, the victorious Buddhas are speaking from the perspective of fruit and from the perspective of phenomena. He is indeed superior to the Buddhas. This is not just a special kind of admiration, nor is it, nor is it a metaphor. This is true.Especially for us, we are not capable of relying on ourselves. According to other Buddhas, including Blessed Buddha, our precepts, concentration and wisdom, we do not have the ability to learn by ourselves, so we can only rely on Amitabha. There is a chance to save.Therefore, Buddha Amitabha is very important to us, surpassing all Buddhas, so understand?

(XNUMX) Respect is the way to Buddhism

We have to take a different look at Amitabha Buddha. The relationship with us is really different. We have to really have this feeling and truly realize that you will be very sincere when reciting this Buddha's name, and it will inspire our sincerity.It will grow day by day, and our good roots will grow, so should we listen to the scriptures?Yes!You have to understand this fact so that you can have some feelings in your heart.

The light of Amitabha Buddha shines all over the ten directions, have you been illuminated?Do you have?Do you feel it?Yep!They really have good roots. Of course I believe there are. If you didn't sit here, you would have run away long ago.The blessing of the Three Jewels is not only the blessing of Amitabha, but the blessing of the Three Jewels, especially the Amitabha, because we are here to practice and recite the Buddha, and we are chanting Amitabha. (A fellow practitioner answered: Yes.) Yes!But the power of the light, the blessing of light we get, the depth and the shallowness are different for everyone.

The deeper the person, the more liberated you will be at the moment. It is not until the death to be able to determine whether we have received the blessings of the Buddha and whether we have been enlightened by the Buddha.So if we have been studying for a long time now and feel that the Fa is not very happy, and the troubles are still not relieved, it means that we still need to strengthen. It is not that the Fa can only get this, but our methods and motivation are still problematic, so there is no Ways to get a lot of benefits, so what is the biggest obstacle?There is no respect. Almost everyone of us has to learn this.

Even if some people understand a little bit, they need to strengthen it, because at most they only have a little bit. Why?Because since childhood, the parents did not teach, the teacher did not teach, the teacher did not dare to teach, you were wrong, disrespectful to the teacher, he did not dare to talk about you, he said you wait for the parents to sue.The parents didn’t teach, why?What does the parent want to teach? He teaches you to be a person who is not respectful. He is not intentional. He spoils you. He doesn't understand, right?As soon as I come in, I will wait with you. According to the rules of other disciples: "If you come out, you must tell, but you must face. "When you go out, you must explain clearly where you are going, so that your parents can feel at ease.It is a courtesy to take the initiative to greet you when you come back. When you see your elders and your parents, you have to take the initiative to greet you when you come back.

Furthermore, you have to come from the bottom of your heart. It is better to have a respectful attitude. At least this politeness must be done in body, mouth, and mind. You can't be absolutely respectful with "intention", at least you have to do the basic etiquette of "body" and "mouth".Not now!Now the child enters the door: "Oh! Have you eaten yet? How are you? Tired! It's been hard for you, and it's been hard for class today." Ha!Upside down, right?You didn't give him a chance to respect you, his parents didn't give him, and didn't teach him to do so, it turned out that you were respectful to your children, and the blessings were repaired for you, and they were all right!You have killed a child, and your disrespect is taught by your parents, who are the first teachers.

Of course, it also has something to do with the good roots of one's own life. Some people are born to be good, kind, polite, and easy to teach. Some people can't help you teach.So basically this kind of person can't even teach Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. He sees that you are not taught, so he doesn't teach you, because it is useless to teach you, but becomes a bad relationship. Why do you want to teach?If you waste your energy, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can't be so stupid. You can't teach you if you are immature, and you don't have respect.So this respect is too important, we must go from here, this is the biggest obstacle, the obstacle to the way.

You are not respectful. No matter how Master tells you, you will also listen here and go over there. You are still practicing and living according to your own ideas. Then no matter how much you listen to it, you will waste your time and hurt. Lose one's own blessings.Because when someone tunes with you once, in fact, you will lose it, and you will use up the blessings that you hit once, and you don't know.So you did not transform, but it was yourself that was wasted, it was fortunes that were lost, and it was yourself that was wasted.You didn't have the karma and blessings in your past life. How could you be taught by someone? It's impossible!Then you didn’t get the benefit after teaching, and the loss is yourself!To be clear.Therefore, how to respect your heart, you must study very deeply.

The first thing is to implement it in what?Be obedient, be obedient from the bottom of your heart. Don’t obey the superficial hypocrisy, especially the kind of self-righteousness and self-satisfaction: "Anyway, this is good for me. Anyway, I know it. I think it’s fine." Further: "Yours is not so good at all, mine is better. What your master teaches is not necessarily what it is, you may not be famous enough, generation is not high enough, etc...." He weighed a lot with you There are many conditions before he decides how much he wants to listen to. One point, two points, three points, or even criticizing if he doesn't listen at all. Do you think this is respectful?No, but also creating industry.Therefore, people who truly have good roots are XNUMX% completely obedient to teachings, and then they only listen to five points, three points, and one point, depending on the depth of your good roots, and implement them in behavior. After listening to them, they have no response at all and no change. That kind of person either knows that there is a problem or has no intention to practice.

(XNUMX) Only when you truly take refuge in the Three Jewels can you get the true response

There is also practice. Although we are practicing Buddhism, we are not wrong by relying on the power of the Buddha, but relying on the power of the Buddha is going to be reborn. This matter must be XNUMX% dependent on the power of the Buddha. It is impossible for ordinary people in the Buddha country to go. No, when the bodhisattva can't go, how can we go? It refers to the matter of rebirth.But if you really want to ask the person to die, you can’t disrespect the Three Jewels at the moment, you can’t follow the teachings, you can’t not practice, and you can break the evil and cultivate the good.

So where do we start to cultivate goodness?Keep the precepts.Jie Dinghui!You can do as much as you can, and you will do your best. Although this has nothing to do with our passing away, if you do not do well, you can still pass away when you die, but you will never deliberately be lazy: "Oh! Anyway, pass away." You don’t need to keep the precepts, then I just disperse like this, and I am very slack.” Then this kind of person can't die, why?You have that kind of unreliable personality, sneaky, and sometimes you will be scheming, old fritters, and other temperaments.

If this kind of person is not honest, your wish may be fake, and you will not be able to die.Therefore, those who really want to practice and want to die must be sure that they will hold the precepts, cultivate concentration, and enlighten the wisdom, and the three learnings of precept, concentration and wisdom will definitely not be able to escape.But the difference is for those who are self-reliant. We don’t have to do what we can. You can do it as hard as you can. The more diligent you are, the deeper the relationship between you and Amitabha, the stronger your renunciation and the better. There may be fewer, but your motivation is weaker. The difference is here, and there will definitely be a change.

So the practice of precept, concentration and wisdom must first start with the mind and receiving precepts. I have talked a lot about these few sessions at the library. The first step of learning is to ask for precepts first and ask for precepts to gain a sense of precepts. It is also our kind of commitment and a kind of willingness.It cannot be said that some people may feel that they may not understand it. They feel that they have a heart, that I want to take the precepts, it is more important that I want to keep the precepts, and I don’t care about things. In fact, this is wrong, this is wrong.Because in fact, this subconscious still gives themselves a lot of space. Many people think, "In this case, there is no need to worry about breaking the precepts or whatever..." Or that they don’t have that much pressure. This is the mentality of ordinary beings. That's it.

Unless you are really a big bodhisattva, there is no such thing as whether or not you hold the precepts. You are very comfortable and have nothing to do with things, so of course you don't have to care about your actions.If we are ordinary people, then we must be very careful that we will deceive ourselves, because you have not done it. If you really have that mind, you cannot possibly not do it, unless there is no cause and condition, the condition has not come!no way.Like our rare cause and fate of lawyer Guo Qing this time, such a great fate, you don’t know how to cherish the blessing of the Three Treasures. It can be seen that you don’t value the blessing of the Three Treasures, right?Or you think, “I’m enough, I’m satisfied, I have my own way to cultivate.” These are my slowness, and I don’t follow the cause and conditions, or that you are not really motivated to practice. Of course we don’t force our minds to practice, but we must recognize exactly what state we are in, and don’t deceive ourselves and misunderstand the news.

This is very important, and there must be something reasonable.There is something. You are the result of your reasoning. The director must be truly fulfilled, and this is the real state.Then it’s okay if you don’t have the heart to practice. It’s also good to cultivate blessings. Everyone starts at this stage, but if you really want to practice, you must take the precepts.What we call the three conversions, do you know what the three conversions mean? "Convert to the Buddha, to the law, to the monk. ",right?But this refuge to Buddha has only one form.

Refuge is to rely on. To rely on is to listen to the words of the Three Jewels, and to do it to have real refuge. The Three Jewels urge you to keep the precepts and receive the precepts. If you don’t listen, you don’t have true refuge. Your refuge is just a fake form. There is no real kind of correspondence. Of course, getting married is also okay. This is called getting married and taking refuge, and then cultivating blessings in Buddhism.We have to see our own state clearly!You can’t read it wrong. If you read it wrong, you will always be stuck there and stuck in the mist. No matter how bad you are today, it doesn’t matter if you don’t have the intention. It will improve, but it doesn’t matter.

Some people and some fellow practitioners misunderstood and said, "Hey! It seems that Master Jingkong has said that, and there are some great virtues who say that they do not approve of people taking the precepts for fear of harming you to break the precepts." Everyone should know, don’t give it. The old monk buttoned such a big hat.He has said this in words and words, but you have to know that what he said is for those who don’t really want to practice, and don’t want to practice precepts, because if you want to practice, you have to start with precepts, you To keep the precepts, you must first take the precepts. This is an inevitable process.

If you don't want to practice, if he persuades you to take the precepts, of course it will cause you to break the precepts. You must break the precepts!So for those who don't want to practice, and don't really want to practice Buddhism, of course the old monk is compassionate!Don't let you take the precepts, let you slow down.When you really want to start practicing, you must start with the precepts. No one can be an exception. It cannot be said that the old monk does not persuade others to keep the precepts.You see, there are still people who say that the old monk does not persuade people to become a monk, saying, "There are many monks at the gate of hell." Don't you think Master Dinghong is called to become a monk?Doesn't this prove it?The old monk's lectures are different in every season. The classics he bases on are different, and the objects of the machine are different. We need to be able to listen to it.

Look at him now, lawyer Guoqing, the old monk said we want to protect him, why?Attorney Guo Qing is the representative in Taiwan. At present, the religious world is speaking of the law school. He also specializes in the pure land, but he maintains strict precepts. He has a deep discipline in the law. For more than XNUMX years, he maintains pure precepts!Where can I find it?It's too difficult!This kind of fate.This kind of precept monk blesses with us. This blessing power is incredible. Everyone doesn't know how to cherish it. It really is!I don’t know the Three Jewels, this one!You didn't really understand.

What is Bao?You don't know how to cherish Bao Xian, but you don't know it. Of course, you didn't know it on purpose. If you don't know it, you can't experience it.The old monk said why he should call for his support and praise him. Why?Because he is acting on behalf of today, in the Taiwanese religious world, in the scope of the Lu Zong, he set an example to do it.Then this commandment, the Buddha told us, what does the Buddha want after he is dead?Take precepts as your teacher.So even the eminent monks on other hills must respect the lawyers, right?We take the precepts as our teacher, not that we worship the individual, and we especially protect that one, no.

A person who truly maintains the precepts and is pure, he will also tell you that if you want it, you must also protect it equally, and have an equal inner heart, but we have the law in the matter. If you say that there is a difference in the matter, of course there is a difference in this matter. Fa-rectification We support it!Of course, we must protect the superior Dharma and the precepts. If it is the evil Dharma, you can’t protect it. The phenomenal world cannot be equal, right and wrong. This is in accordance with the Buddha’s precepts. We should take precepts as our teacher. Then he is Lawyers who teach precepts, do we have to be respectful and uphold?This is to follow the teachings.

How to support?Go to do it.There are many ways to protect and hold. Foreign wealth is to use money to protect them. If they go to save sentient beings, they all need money!Otherwise, it's your own wealth. Be a volunteer, and then you will follow your own teachings.To preach the precepts, no matter what you think, maybe you don’t need it, my steadfast practice is more important, this is not wrong, but when the cause comes, you have to lead by example, let people think this preaching is very sacred, follow the precepts The heart is very important. You have to look at it very carefully. You have to do it yourself. This is also protecting the Three Jewels.

Don’t just think about your own position and my own ideas. Even if they are correct, you can’t say that you’re wrong: "Ah! It’s more important for us to practice honestly." But if this director is not satisfactory, there are actually flaws. The subconscious still gives yourself a lot of convenience, selfishness is more, it is not really true, unless there is no such cause, or you don’t know how to do this, then someone reminds you that you have to think well, unless you don’t want to. Practice without forcing yourself.Because Buddhism does not require human sentiments, and cultivation is not for others to see. The Three Jewels do not need your human sentiments. You need to be able to get benefits. Then you should do it from your heart, from the inside out, be clear, and don’t deceive yourself. , That's good.

If these concepts are correct, our karma will gradually disappear. This blessing of Buddha light, because the light shines on the ten worlds, we can really get a lot of blessings, so big that you can be reborn right now. People, many people do it. Like every Buddha, he takes people’s life differently. Some Buddhas are. For example, there is a Xiangji Kingdom. He uses food. He invites you to eat. You eat this meal. Or you will become enlightened when you smell it. There is also such a way to capture the life of the audience. Each Buddha is skillfully different.

Amitabha’s wish is to make a vow to use his light, which is wisdom, to capture people’s lives. That’s why there is this "light and happiness" in the back. You can get happiness right now, and you can get free from happiness. He will get happiness after touching the light. So He uses light as a medium to bless all beings.Where is this light?We can't see it, can we?He is placed in this Buddha name, so when we recite his name, we are in contact with his light and his merits.Therefore, we have to use this Buddha name to read this Buddha name to a very proficiency, and regard it as the most important thing, the most important thing, so that we can recite and take in Amitabha’s thoughts. Merit, and you must recite it with your sincerity. If you don't feel it after you read it, then you have no intention of speaking, and your heart can't feel it.

"This sentence is beautiful!Like, he uses the moon as a metaphor.Although, when you look at the moonlight, it also illuminates the entire world, but if you don't look at it, will you follow it? This moonlight won't reach your heart, no.It's the same as when we recite the Buddha. We have to recite him, so that the merits of this Buddha's name can enter our hearts, get it, and become our use, and we can touch the light and be happy.Therefore, using other methods to practice and recite Buddhism is not as powerful or direct as reciting the name.

Other good deeds are okay, but they are not strong enough. The real greatest strength is in this Buddha's name. Therefore, Master Shandao judged that this is right action. The real right action. He judged that there are five kinds of right actions, among which are the right actions. The righteous concentration karma, this is the most remarkable thing is to recite the Buddha, reciting this Buddha name.So don't underestimate it, what precepts and wisdom do you cultivate!Those, no matter how high a realm is, no matter how high one's skill is, they don't have the power of this Buddha's name.Because our goal is to rebirth in the Elysium, and this name is the ticket for the rebirth of the Elysium. We take the Amitabha’s wish ship, and the name is the ticket. Is that clear?If you bring cash, you may not be able to get on the ship. The so-called cash is your morality and wisdom. If you cultivate good deeds, this may not work!It is the Buddha's name that is the key to rebirth in the world of bliss. If you want to recognize it, you will know how to work hard.

So "there are countless hearings", what does this mean?There is a lot of good knowledge in the world of bliss, like our world is full of evil destiny, "resentment and hatred, love parting." "The person you like will leave you. Most of the people you see come to make trouble. This is why?Why are there more?Because there is no way, everyone in this world is greedy, anger, and ignorance, so when you go there, you will meet these innocent creditors. There is no way.

The world of bliss has countless sounds.You see there is also a passage in it: "The country is immeasurable..." This is in the "Amitabha Sutra", and the handout says: "The Buddha has immeasurable and boundless disciples.All Arhats.It's not what counts can know.The Bodhisattvas.The same is true. 』Especially there are more big bodhisattvas, all the good people will be in one place!With such a good learning environment, where can we fail to achieve it, every day we are helping us to improve the Dao Karma. Such kind of good knowledge will live with us, and you will not have the opportunity to create Karma.So in such a good environment, in such a clean environment, it is conceivable that once we go, we will definitely be able to achieve Taoism.

(XNUMX) The seventeenth Buddhas sighed and the eighteenth thoughts must produce aspirations

Let's look at the following paragraph: "When I was a Buddha.The world of ten directions is in immeasurable brakes.Countless Buddhas.If you don't praise my name.Those who say that I have done well in Germany.Don't take enlightenment. 』Well, we have to speed up.This vow is the seventeenth vow: "The Buddhas praised and sighed."What's the point of making this wish?It seems to be just admiration!In fact, this very far-reaching significance, if we do not have this wish, can we hear this method?Can't hear.Therefore, none of us can be saved, so is this wish important?It seems that the Buddhas praised nothing, just admired them.Similarly, should we learn from the Buddhas of the ten directions to praise and admire Amitabha Buddha?Yes, because it's so important!Because of our tossing, we introduced to other people that there is this method. We don’t need to save it. The Three Jewels will save it for you. You will bring you listening to the scriptures and cultivating together. Although he did not get immediate benefits, the seeds have already been planted. Now, this is the reason we cultivated at the beginning.

We admire this method and introduce this method, so that in the future some people can be saved.So this part doesn't look like much, but it's actually the most important first step.Therefore, Buddha Amitabha must make this vow. All the Buddhas in the ten directions will praise and admire him for recruiting students and advertising, so that he can fulfill his wish to save sentient beings in the ten directions.If there is a sentient being who cannot hear this method, and one of our ten sentient beings has not introduced him to the Buddha, then he will not be able to save the sentient beings of this side, and he will not hear this method, so he must also make this vow.So how do we report Buddha's grace! ?We know now, we will definitely be able to save, sooner or later, but how do we repay Buddha's grace?You must be the messenger of Amitabha Buddha, and you must make this wish. You don’t have to wait until the wish comes before you can save sentient beings. We should do it according to the conditions, according to the situation, and with the effort. The more you do, of course your gratitude. It means that the stronger your gratitude, the stronger your willingness and your Taoism. It doesn't matter if you do less, do whatever you want.

Okay, so here we have learned five vows, "the thirteenth wish is boundless", "the fourteenth is light and happy", "the fifteenth life is boundless", "the sixteenth is countless", "the thirteenth wish is boundless." Seventeen Buddhas praised and sighed.Among them, "Immeasurable Brightness" and "Immeasurable Life" are the solemnity of the Dharma body and are the most supreme two wishes. It represents the merit of Amitabha Buddha, light represents wisdom, and life is also a kind of blessing, the perfect blessing and wisdom, the solemn merit of the Dharma.Next, we will look at the eighteenth vow. This is the most important vow among our "forty-eight vows." It is also the most important vow for every fellow practitioner here. If we can truly die in this life, because we must Rely on the eighteenth wish to die.

There are also "famous for heart", "dying lead", "repentance to live" these.These have different conditions and conditions for rebirth, and some sentient beings rely on the following vows, and they rebirth according to those vows.And the simplest and most important is "the eighteenth wish and ten thoughts will be born".The version published by the Buddha Education Foundation that our old monk Jingkong preached for the second time, he talked about it in Xuanyi.He said: "The core of the great vow is the eighteenth vow. The ultimate convenience of all ten thoughts must be born because of the most convenient place for Amitabha's ultimate accomplishment. 』Why is this wish the most extraordinary, ultimate, and convenient?This is because the merits that Amitabha Buddha has accomplished. He takes the merits that he has accomplished as a convenience for him to attract sentient beings.Otherwise, why should we be reborn as a Buddha in this life?There must be something substantial, there must be real merits there, that is, Amitabha Buddha has cultivated merits. He uses the simplest way, a convenient way for us to receive his merits, then through the eighteen vows.

The conditions of the eighteen vows are the simplest. Every one of us can do it. If you can't do it, then we can't get his merits either!So eighteen wishes are the most important to us.Let’s take a look at the vow: "When I was a Buddha, all sentient beings from the ten directions, hearing my name, believing in my heart, believing in my heart, all the roots of goodness, my heart and mind, and even my ten thoughts. I wish to regenerate our country.Except for the five inverses, slander the law. 』Okay, this is the eighteenth wish.Everyone takes a closer look, and the "best faith in the heart" mentioned in this vow is the best faith.We know that the three resources for rebirth, the "Faith, Wish, and Action" in the Amitabha Sutra is actually the same in the Guanjing. The purpose of the three sutras is the same. Cultivating the "Sixteen Views", in fact, its true practice is also called chanting of Buddha. This Master Taoist explained to us in great detail.Yes, you see that other patriarchs are explaining the "Guan Jing", his understanding of "Guan Jing" is not so deep, after all, people who practice other sects may not be able to deepen the Pure Land Method. Look at it from a different angle. You can't say that he is wrong, he will not understand it so thoroughly.Only Master Shandao finds out the true core practice of "Guan Sutra" for us, and this practice is to recite the Buddha by name, and the three sutras are exactly the same.The same is the Pure Land Method, you can’t practice differently, right?This is reasonable.

There are many ways to rebirth in the "Forty-Eight Vows". Some are that you have to cultivate merits and then return to these, because they attract different sentient beings, and all sentient beings in the ten directions have different roots, so There are different wishes to attract different sentient beings.Then only the eighteen vows are the simplest. It is also a condition for the true Amitabha Buddha to reach the three roots and receive all the benefits. It is the eighteen vows. Let’s take a closer look: "The most faithful and happy" is the most faith, "Wish to be born in our country." It is a wish, and even ten thoughts, faith and wish are fulfilled.Is it the same as the Amitabha Sutra?identical!So in the forty-eight vows, the most important thing is the XNUMX vows.In fact, every vow is very important. Just like we just talked about the seventeen vows, we would not hear without the praises of the Buddhas. The Blessed One would not have the opportunity to introduce this method. Every wish is very important, but in terms of whether we can die or not, the eighteen vows are the most critical. Therefore, the great virtue of the patriarch said that the eighteen vows are the core, and we look at it from this perspective.In the place of "Guanjing", I also talked about "Guanjing Essentials". Those who are interested in this aspect can go to "Guanjing Essentials".Here I will cite the last sentence, the scriptures in the "Guan Sutra": "Ananda, if you hold the right words, those who hold the right words will hold the name of the Buddha of immeasurable life. "Look at one of our sutras!"Each sutra is divided into "Sequence Division", "Authentic Division" and "Circulation Division".Then the part of "Circulation Division" is the summary, this is a certain structure, that is the summary.This sentence is in the part of the "Circulation Division". The Blessed One summarized the previous "Sixteen Views", because Mrs. Vettihi enlightened him, and then told her, following her enlightenment, he spoke the "Sixteen Views".And when it comes to the last "circulation points", He makes a summary.

Ananda crashed!Just tell him, which means: "Ananda!You stay true to the truth. "That is to say: "I will tell you today, and I will talk about the content of "Guan Jing" today. You will endure it well. 』Then how to hold it? "Anyone who holds the word of truth means that he holds the name of the Buddha of immeasurable life", come out!He did not ask you to go to the Sixteenth View!is not it?Does it prove that the core practice of this sutra is to hold the Buddha name of immeasurable life.Many Patriarchs didn’t recognize this sentence. Master Shandao specifically explained it in the "Guanjing Si Tie Shu".Therefore, through the explanation of Master Shandao, he is a fusion of the three sutras, he is acquainted with the Pure Land Sutra, and Amitabha is willing to come again. It is what he said, how can he not know, how can he not know what his deity is talking about, who can understand better than him Still thorough?He helped us to point out this important point. He is in the "Guanjing Si Tie Shu".So why should we follow the thoughts of Master Shandao, in fact, the thoughts of Master Yishandao are also based on the ancestors behind. Master Hongyi and Master Yinguang are all, but in form, they have their own seasons, causes, and some will talk about it. "Huayan" and "Tiantai", Master Yinguang will talk about cause and effect, and will do his best, right?Then you will feel that they don't necessarily emphasize the idea of ​​all-powerful Buddha power, but if you look closely, they are all the same.

Well, because Master Shandao is the most representative, he is the first, he is the second ancestor!Then all the later patriarchs came from his thoughts, so we respect Master Shandao as this, not that we only listen to him, other patriarchs don’t listen, no!all the same.And he is the most specialized, because he is the most veteran.Therefore, we must respect the teacher and respect the Tao. You see, Master Yinguang also calls him a good guide monk, a pro-teacher!So when we say it like this, we are not saying that there is no opposition to the thoughts of a particular person, and there is no opposition to the Fa and Fa for a truly masterful and enlightened person.

This is the XNUMXth wish, why is it the most important?How do we learn to be able to die in accordance with the eighteen aspirations, and even at the moment we can build confidence in the rebirth.The most important thing is that we must be able to truly have true faith and aspirations, and then rely XNUMX% on the power of the Buddha, and then recite the Buddha according to the fate, and try to recite the Buddha, instead of relying on our own kung fu. If we rely on our own kung fu, it is impossible for everyone. All can go, even most people cannot go, so this concept is wrong, but should I recite the Buddha diligently?want!why?You really have the most faith and happiness, and you really want to die. You can't not recite the Buddha. You can't recite the Buddha when the sky is falling down. If you say you say one more sentence, I will shoot you. You will also be able to recite. He won't retreat either, it should be like this, because He brought us to life!The Buddha's name takes us to rebirth, which is natural, so if you don’t do this, of course you can’t die.

If we truly believe that as long as we rely on Amitabha, and then the Buddha will say that we do whatever we can, and recite him naturally, then no matter what the situation is when we are dying, anyway, if you really believe it, you will not worry that you will not be able to die, because there is Amitabha in everything. , Whether you die by accident, dementia, or anything else, you are not afraid of your family and creditors, and Amitabha will settle it for you, so don’t worry.If you are still a little worried, then you do not believe in or rely on the Buddha XNUMX%.If the faith of the wish is not so complete, then your death is uncertain.If you understand now, I really don't doubt the Buddha. This belief is true. You can now tell others aloud: "I am confident that I will die in this life." Why?Because I really want to go, this wish is on our side, and your wish is true.If you don’t go, of course no one can force you. If you really want to go, you can be sure now that you can die in this life. Then you can tell others that you are not showing off because this is not us. That’s how we need to attract sentient beings!We have to give people confidence. You don't have confidence yourself. How can people listen to your advice? This is impossible.

You have to have faith in the Buddha and faith in the rebirth. Only when you persuade others can they truly accept it. This is to repay the Buddha's grace and praise Amitabha, not to praise us. What do we have to admire?The only thing we can be admired is that we have sufficient roots and destiny. We are willing to really see through our own sins, life and death. If we don’t hurry, we can’t run. It’s too late. We must rely on Amitabha to go to the Paradise of Bliss so that we have a way to survive. We are only acknowledging this fact, what do we have to show off.Of course, we have good roots and merits. This is because we have had a deep bond with Amitabha for many generations. After chanting Buddhism, we have also read the Buddha. We are able to respond. We have good roots. This is the only thing that we can comfort ourselves. local.On the contrary, if you don’t have enough faith, you don’t want to die. Of course, your good roots are not enough.

Our old Bodhisattva is chatting again. It is not easy for her to sit for so long, but very hard.Is the old Bodhisattva at least eighty years old? (The fellow initiates at the scene responded: more than ninety!) More than ninety!Ninety-odd people have come to recite the Buddha in the morning, and they are still sitting there.Damn!Give her a chair next to her, it won't be so hard.Correct.She can still sit if she doesn't understand, you see how good this is to influence the public.But she, because we reminded her, she might not understand either!She will. The elderly will speak without knowing it. We've all touched this before. That's okay. It's a little bit embellished and the atmosphere is pretty good, so that everyone doesn't want to sleep anymore.She can sit next to her, it will be very hard for her to sit on this cushion all the time.Go to the toilet?Hurry up.

Okay, so everyone knows the key to holding the eighteenth vow!So how can we truly hold on to this wish and get benefits, and build confidence in the rebirth now. You will surely die at the end of life, and you will become a Buddha as soon as you die. We have just briefly talked about this key. It definitely has a lot of blessing power to you, because we are all explained according to the teachings of our patriarch. Then I can use it myself, and I get that. Interests, I am to prove to everyone and share with you.So if you don’t look at it, there will be a lot of loss, because it will definitely give you a lot of blessing power, and you have to look at it often, because we are greedy, anger, ignorance, and ignorance.Therefore, we can never leave the good knowledge and never leave the scriptures. Although we are sure, we still need to cultivate. Why?Because our greed, anger, ignorance and ignorance are still there, our root cause of disease has not been removed. The germs are all in our body and will erupt at any time. That’s why we are sure to die, but we have to protect this merit and Taoism, and we cannot leave. Good knowledge must be repaired frequently.

Where before!When we first learned the Pure Land Method, we usually had to recite the "forty-eight vows" first, so at that time, we just looked at these passages of this scripture. The more I looked at it, the more confused I became. What were the conditions? There seemed to be some repetitions. .For example, in the next paragraph, it also talks about: "I am connected with our country, I have bodhichitta, I will be strong and will not retreat, and plant the virtues of all. "You see here is "planting all virtues", and then we talked about "cultivating all merits" in this passage. Isn't it all the same?right?It is necessary to develop bodhicitta, and to develop bodhicitta is the fundamental, self-interested and self-interested, but the conditions also require the cultivation of various merits.Then the two paragraphs seem to be similar, so why do you have to divide it into two paragraphs, isn't it repeated?We often have some doubts.

Let's compare the original translation, Kang Sengkai's original translation, we have several original translations, and Kang Sengkai's book is also very clear.Xia Lian Ji Shi Lao Ji Shi His gathering has his own characteristics, has his characteristics, very smooth, very smooth, etc., but like this "Amitabha Sutra" is a translation of Kumarajiva, we are very used to holding , Very fluent, his translation skills are first-rate, the teacher of the Seven Buddhas, oh no!It’s not the Seven Buddhas. The Seven Buddhas all work as translators, helping Buddhas to translate, classics, and old experiences, so he translates smoothly, and we all like to be held up.However, the "Amitabha Sutra" translated by Master Xuanzang is very pure in terms of law and meaning.So when we want to compare, we are not confused, thinking that we are not confused when we read it until there is no delusion?It's not.

In contrast to the translation of "One Mind and Not Chaotic" in the "Amitabha Sutra" translated by Master Xuanzang, it is directly translated in Sanskrit as the meaning of "One Mind and Mind".Is it much simpler to focus on thoughts?You just need to read it without interruption, right?One mind.The kind of mindlessness that does not have a thought with you, that is too much difference, too much standard deviation!So if we compare, we won’t misunderstand or misunderstand that meaning.His ancestor interprets being undisrupted as saying that from their point of view of cultivating precepts and wisdom, of course it is to tell you that one thought does not reproduce, so that you can learn to stay undisrupted. Who can do that standard?No one can do it. One or two out of XNUMX are very difficult, right?Therefore, the true mindlessness, the mindlessness in the "Amitabha Sutra", we can compare it with the direct translation of the Sanskrit of Master Xuanzang, it is very clear that there is no misunderstanding, and the mind is focused on thoughts.

In addition, the ancestor of Master Shandao gave us an interpreter, explained to us, proved it, and gave a guarantee. That’s how he explained it!It is not for us to solve it by ourselves.So now we see the translation of Xia Lianju is very smooth, but if we cooperate with Kang Sengkai's original translation, we will be more clear.In these passages of prayers, the root nature that it actually receives, the root nature of sentient beings, is originally different.Then although the standard will be different, some people do not respond to these eighteen vows. He said, "Oh! You can die if you believe your wishes and do them. I don't believe it." That kind of person is not enough because of good roots and merits.

Then if you are not enough, you can't rely on it, and you can't rely solely on the power of Buddha. You can't get peace of mind and confidence!This kind of person just thinks that I should rely on myself to cultivate a little merit and then turn to dedication, or some people, he himself is already cultivating other sects, practising meditation and tantric, then in the end, he I feel as if I am not sure what realm I can achieve in my life.So many people are getting old, many patriarchs, the ancestors of his ancestors, when he finally gets old, he just goes back to the Buddha, is there?Even he thinks that this is not enough, because it is true that you have to practice precepts, concentration and wisdom all your life to become a Buddha. How could it be possible!Can't find a few.So usually other patriarchs will go back to chanting Buddhism in the end, relying on the power of Buddhism to achieve life.Therefore, for the foundation of this kind of people, there are these bottom wishes.

In other words, as long as the sentient beings in the ten directions smell the name, they can develop bodhicitta and cultivate all merits.Because if you don't cultivate, you don't need to cultivate, and if you believe and do what you want to do with the Buddha, you don't believe it or respond!So He advises you that you can cultivate merits, "Cultivating merits, practice the Six Degree Paramita, and be firm. "Then "Return to the good roots", you turn these good roots of learning to "Wish to regenerate my country", like this, "Think of me with all your heart, day and night."At the end of my life, I and the bodhisattvas greeted them. 』Similarly, He can also come to attract.

This is "famous inspiring mind." This wish is to talk about two important points. One is to smell the name, he will be able to send bodhicitta, what is bodhicitta?The heart of wishing to be born in the Western world of bliss is bodhicitta. After your wish to be born, you will cultivate all the merits and use your merits to go back and forth. This is also possible, and you can also be reborn.So if you feel like saying, "Oh! With XNUMX wishes, it doesn't seem to be such a cheap thing." If you don't believe it, that's okay!You should cultivate all the merits. You are the sentient beings captured in this vow. It is convenient for us to say that he is of middle-rooted nature. According to the eighteen vows, you will immediately believe and be rejoiced, faith will arise, and you will begin to rejoice every day. Full, this kind of rooted person, the person with the most perfect roots, merits, and destiny.

It’s like saying that your parent gives birth to a child. Everyone has different roots. Some of them have greater blessings. All of them rely on their parents. All of his parents will get him well, until he is. All the stages are arranged for him, then this kind of person is the most blessed, he is also obedient, and has the best roots.Another child is very rebellious!He wouldn't listen. How did your parents make arrangements with him? People who come here will make arrangements for you. If you don't accept it, you just have to go for it by yourself. Okay!You just go for it, and you come back again. It's okay to go back, or accept it. The Buddha still wants to save, and he won't abandon any kind of sentient beings.

Master Yinguang also said that he also advised us, because this kind of person, this kind of person, his good roots are not so deep, he feels that he has to rely on himself, and you feel that you have to rely on yourself, which shows that you feel that the Buddha is not enough. Power, right?is not it?Do you think the Buddha is not strong enough, it is not insurance!Just believing and wishing to recite the Buddha is not insurance, so we have to rely on ourselves and subsidize it so that it is safer.This is the mentality!So you have a weak root of faith, and a weak root of faith means that the root of goodness is weak. Even Buddha you doubt and distrust, and of course your good roots are relatively weak.Therefore, Master Yinguang often persuades us that there is a lot in "Wen Chao", and there is a passage in which he said: "What kind of power do ordinary people have?There is only karma since the beginning of calamity. 』

We are also powerful!Karma.So don't think about what strength we have to rely on ourselves. We still don't have any strength when we cultivate to death. Why?The standard of our strength is to have a pure heart, no thoughts!It's the purity of the Buddha's realm, so how we ordinary people cultivate a little bit of good roots, your ten good karma can't be cultivated, right?You can't cultivate this human and natural cause, but you still cultivate the cause of the Buddha. How can you get it?We can’t cultivate, so our method is to bring karma to life. It doesn’t mean that you will attain the realm of the Buddha after you have cultivated in your entire life. So we basically say that there is no merit that can be turned back.

Those so-called virtues of precept, concentration and wisdom, in fact, you don't even have an Arahant enough!What's more, you have not certified an Arahant. There is nothing bad about this.

What we just said, even if you are a person who relies XNUMX% on the power of the Buddha to recite the Buddha according to the eighteen vows, you will naturally learn to learn precepts, concentration and wisdom. Naturally, although it is not a necessary condition for rebirth, it is not necessary at all. You can also die, but you will definitely do so.So there is no difference in terms of things. Regardless of whether you follow that wish, you still have to practice morality, concentration and wisdom, but the mentality is different.Our hearts, those who practice according to the eighteen vows, our hearts are fused with Buddha Amitabha, we trust XNUMX%, and there is no distance, so we can touch the light and be happy right now, receive the blessings of Buddha Amitabha, and we will transform our body and mind right away. Don't wait until you die to feel at ease.

Well, if you still have a little doubt about the power of the Buddha, and you feel that you have to rely on yourself, you will receive less blessings from the Buddha right now, and there are, and less.It is more difficult for you to learn by yourself, because your mentality is not open, you are not open and uneasy!You still recite the Buddha in the same mood of practicing Kungfu, and then you watch every day: "Why do I still have so many delusions? I can't die anymore." Right?Are you very hard at repair?And it is true that it is very difficult for you to die. Great disrespect also shows that the root of goodness is weak.

Another point is that you feel that you don’t have the confidence to go, and you really want it to happen, because all laws are created by the mind.If you say you can’t go, you subconsciously think you can’t go, you really can’t go, right?So this thought is too important. If your thoughts are right, the retribution is very great. You can really become a Buddha in your life. Even at the moment, your belief is determined. There is no self-deception, so you can comfort yourself, no .So this is how to say it, it really depends on good roots.Some people are born to believe in their parents, do they?Trust the teacher.How do some people tell you that you just don't believe it, you are strong and hard, and you really rely on good roots. There is nothing to say, there is no reason at all, the good roots of many generations.Then you can accept it, you just have merit, you don't have to work so hard, right?After others have cultivated it for us, we are just like children inheriting their parents’ property. I accept it happily, and then we happily repay the grace of Buddha, and spread all sentient beings to repay the grace of Buddha. Isn’t that good?Why do you have to do it so complicated? I cultivated very hard, and then in the end, you and you put in a lot of hard work, and then you lose more than you gain, and there is no way to get the results you really seem to have.

"The layman often seeks enlightenment and seeks various realms, instead of deciding to survive, that is, the so-called sacrifice of the original and the last! "This is not a truly wise person. You ask for enlightenment and all kinds of realms. Some people ask for this when they recite the Buddha. He didn't catch the most important point.

What is the purpose of our chanting?It is to determine whether we can die, this is the most important thing!Grasp this core.So we are telling you the "Forty-Eight Vows", I am not telling you the truth of this text, nor is it for you to practice kung fu and enlightenment!It’s that every wish will hold you down, which is to hold onto this central idea. What is our core purpose?To help us establish a death.So how do we learn this wish?I saw it saying, "Oh! It's so difficult!" Then I saw Master Yinguang also say the same.

We don't want to seek unity, we need to rely on the power of the Buddha to be able to truly establish peace of mind at the moment, and, in fact, it is possible to truly cultivate thousands of people and truly die.Don't insure yourself!How can you rely on yourself for such a mind, because ordinary people are like this.Feel: "Ah!No one can be trusted, and oneself is safer. "right?This is a kind of ordinary people.

This is true in this world. People cannot be trusted. This is true. Parents cannot be trusted. Why?He is also an ordinary man. Although he loves his children, there is absolutely no doubt that he can even give up his life for his children. The problem is that no matter what he does, his ability is limited, and he can't bring us to life in Paradise!So in the final analysis, no one in this world can believe it, only the Buddha can believe it.

But in spite of this, we still have to use the root of goodness, with the heart of learning Buddhism, be compassionate to all sentient beings, and then learn to inspire our root of faith, and believe in everyone.By believing in the blessings of the power of the Buddha, first believe in the Buddha, because the Buddha is believable.After believing in Buddhism, we then try to use this kind of believing virtue to the people around us as much as possible. Although we know that someone is untrustworthy, pretend to believe it. If you believe it for a long time, you will inspire your own roots of goodness.

If people can’t be trusted, it’s meaningless for you to get along with each other. Although it’s not credible, we still have to learn to believe, and then naturally you will transform the other person and make him a trustworthy person. There are many things in it. Deep truth!Think well.This is, if you can really do this, you are the Tathagata!If you can make a transition, the same is true.You turn an untrustworthy person into himself, do you believe him!Then he was too embarrassed not to be a credible person like what you call and imagined. After a long time, he will be influenced by you, and he will really turn into the person in your mind, the one you see. For someone who looks like this, you can change the realm, but this is not easy!This is not easy to do.Look at the next two paragraphs, the teachings in "Wen Chao" by Master Yin Guang.

Next, let’s look at the next paragraph: "When I was a Buddha, the sentient beings from the ten directions, when I heard my name, thought about our country, developed bodhicitta, strengthened and never retreated, planted the virtues of all, regained the heart, desires to be bliss, and there is no failure.If there are old evils, if you hear my name, you will regret yourselves, do good for the Tao, then hold the precepts, and be willing to give birth to me, and your life will never change the three evils, and you will be born in our country.If you don’t, don’t take enlightenment. "This paragraph is "repent and make a wish."

Let's just say that this kind of person is a relatively inferior root person, the kind of evil-making person, the evil-making person, and even these people who are evil and evil.Then, after he met and heard the name, he was blessed by the Buddha's power to "grow bodhicitta, be strong and not retreat, and plant all virtues." "This is the blessing of Buddha, as long as you smell the name, you will have these intentions.Then "If there is an old evil, you regret it." "If he is a wicked person, he will arise when he smells this name. After the Buddha's light shines on, we all have a good side and Buddha nature, which will enlighten these good sides, he will have regrets, and then begin to "be "Tao do good" and begin to practice, then such a person will not fall into the three evil realms at the end of his life. They should have fallen into the three evil realms. These people are already evil people and they have already created evil karma. !But only Amitabha can reverse his destiny.

Amitabha has not violated cause and effect!It’s to save you quickly before you fall, and save you to the world of bliss. Because the world of bliss has no evil fate, so there is no three evil ways, so you won’t suffer this retribution, that's it.So if we don't go, we just wait for the retribution. It is very difficult and very difficult to be a human in the next life.It's very simple. Just make our own comments. Do we have more good or evil from morning till night?Nine out of ten, they are all perpetrators, all are greed, anger, ignorance, and selfishness, so the future results will be settled, oops!Three coatings must be worthwhile.

Very scary!Very scary!So don’t think, “Oh! It’s okay. I’m good fortune now. It’s okay to recite Buddhism until I have no intentions. If I think I’m happy, I’ll forget it.” This is a very dangerous thing. Once impermanence comes, it will be too late, so I must We must quickly build up the faith in rebirth, and use our minds as much as possible in our practice.Of course, you don’t have to be a monk. Being a monk is the most complete. But if you are at home, you have to do your best. Don’t be dominated by the pursuit of the five desires. Life is good. You should be able to focus on cultivation and grasp the time as much as possible. Don’t be true. It's too late to wait until the end of life, regretting to live a life, it is very dangerous to be the next root person.

King Achai was going to fall into hell, and he was going to fall into hell. Fortunately, he had a cause when he was dying, so his hell aspect has already appeared, but some people advised him that he also had his merit and fate.So he was repenting, because he was terrible before he saw the appearance of hell. He called the heavens and grabbed the earth, and then he chanted Amitabha and he died.The taste of this rebirth, our inferior root refers to your own root nature, it does not mean that you are reborn in the next generation, no.Look at your earnest heart, your corresponding strength with the Buddha.

From here, we can also prove that why we practiced according to the eighteen aspirations, why the results are the most outstanding?You can go to the top grade because you have a share in the top three grades. It’s because we are closer, kinder, and more trusting with the Buddha. You trust him XNUMX%.Therefore, the middle-aged King Achai was a high-ranking student because his mind was similar at the time. Anyway, only the Buddha can save me. Hell has already appeared. His sincere heart, single-minded and single-minded, only has Buddha in his heart. Of course he High grade, this is how it comes.So we can imagine that if you think today that I should rely half on myself and half on the Buddha, then you are not so close to the Buddha, and your rebirth grade is definitely not high.

If you really want to go, you can still go, but you will be one or two of XNUMX people, or you can go, but your taste is definitely not high, and you will even go to the border. Why?You still have doubts about the Buddha, you still have doubts about the forty-eight wishes of the Buddha, you still have doubts about the Buddha's aspiration and ability, so you will be born to the border, just by the door of the Paradise of Bliss. You have not yet entered the door, really. of.So the border area is still wrapped in lotus flowers. You can't see the Buddha in bloom. You haven't really been born in the bliss world, just in the border area.Then the Bodhisattva over there will go into the lotus bud to talk to you and tell you to believe in the eighteen vows, and then rely XNUMX% on the power of the Buddha.You don’t even have the slightest suspicion, and seeing the Buddha in bloom is a process like this.

Don't be born to the border and don't be inferior. It's a pity to stay in it for five hundred lives. It's a pity that we go back early, and it wouldn't be better to come back early to save sentient beings.But if it’s the root nature, you can’t believe it in the first place, and you can’t do it. At least you can still hold on to it. That’s why Amitabha does not abandon people, so he has to make this wish. Otherwise, he repeats so many wishes. ?It is impossible for the Buddha to talk nonsense, and one more nonsense is impossible. There must be so many wishes in His need. Different conditions, right?

There are different conditions for rebirth, that is, to attract sentient beings with different roots, so we will not say in the future: "Oh! Mine is right, yours is wrong, XNUMX% Buddha power." Yes." It means confrontation and confrontation: "I am right. I have to do my own thing." Then he said: "I want to use all the power of Buddha." Or something....It’s all right, no need to criticize, it’s because of different personalities. We all admire it with joy, it’s better than nothing!right?Finally, let me share. This is because we probably have analyzed the "Forty-Eight Vows" which is very important. It can help us resolve some doubts, and then truly choose the conditions for our rebirth. Her characteristic is that she is very honest, she may not know any truth, but she can believe in Buddha XNUMX%, you see that she can't understand any classics, and she will not learn these passages we just analyzed. These analyses are necessary to solve your doubts, otherwise it is okay not to learn.She is born with good roots, and then she recites the Buddha honestly.

One day she was, this Xinyuan Temple, she was going to a practice meeting at Xinyuan Temple in Manila, and she would usually do volunteer work.One day, there was a three-day Fa conference. The day before she was going to go, her grandson asked her where to put her things. She told her grandson, "You will keep your own things in the future." She was very fond of this. Grandson, she is taking care of him.She specifically confessed this sentence to him, indicating that she foresaw that the time was coming, she had this hunch, and she didn't say anything.Then she went to attend the Fa conference with her family.It's about to come, when the Fa conference is about to three o'clock, this is what her granddaughter said, and what she said in person.

Then her granddaughter called her grandmother, she called her grandmother.She said that her grandmother said that she suddenly said, "The golden girl and the jade girl are here." She also didn't know that it was actually the Three Sages of the West who came to pick her up.Then she, the old woman and her daughter, went to the Fa conference for three generations. Her daughter, her granddaughter, and her daughter just listened to her and took a look: "No! What kind of golden girl?" But Her daughter saw two butterflies and saw butterflies, so everyone saw it differently!Just like some people said to go to Wutai Mountain, to Putuo Mountain, then some to see Guanyin Bodhisattva, and some to see..., everyone sees the big and small ones differently, and their sense of karma is different.

When the Fa conference was over that day, this old woman sang walked out of the door of the main hall, and when she reached the door, she suddenly stopped moving, just stood there, and then her head lowered.Alas!strange!Why doesn't it move?You stand in front of people's door, and someone is going to come out from behind.As a result, the daughter of this old woman sang went over to take a look, eh!What was going on, she didn't respond to a single shot, she touched it, "Ah! I stopped breathing!" Walking until I stopped breathing, this is a real thing.We have also heard that some people use to beat Buddha Seven, and when they run incense, they die after running, and some, that's even more powerful.This is walking to death, because she is already there, she is already there, she first saw the three sages of the West, she has said it, but she is talking about the golden girl, she doesn't understand it!The old man didn't understand, and then she walked to the door and died.

Later, because her daughter was the daughter of the old woman sang, she didn't know what was going on, hurry up, most people hurry to the hospital.Later, she was sent to the hospital for first aid and first aid. No matter how she saved her, she was able to save a little bit of life. She breathed a little bit, and died completely after three days.Ruixiang was very good when he passed away.The abbot of Xinyuan Temple said that Old Master Rui Jin said that she, the old woman Sang, her wish during her lifetime, she hopes to be able to lie down in the hospital for three days, and then let her relatives and friends have time to see her off and visit. So there is such a cause and condition, which may be willing to call for feelings.

Look at a person like this, she will die in a very good state, which is equivalent to predicting that the time will come and then standing and dying. She is not sick, and she will die without disease. She walks and then stands there and then dies. She doesn’t have to be special. The conditions, why are they like this?This is her own aspiration. In her heart, she believes in the Buddha, and she is willing to go. She is chanting Buddha!I usually do chanting in Buddhism, and I do volunteer work and practice together.So all the old Bodhisattvas present here have all the opportunities, all have the opportunity, don't want to say that we don't know the words and then don't understand anything, don't worry, there are opportunities to die on foot and die while standing.

There is one more extraordinary, but there is no time to talk about it now, and there will be a chance to talk about it later.Zen Master Gu Xing is my idol, really. Only Buddha Shakyamuni has such a record. He burned his body with the fire of this samādhi to rebirth. Apart from the Buddha, he is also an honest person, and he is honestly reciting the Buddha. People who don’t know much about everything, do miscellaneous work.In this way, he can be so extraordinary, the skill is incredible, and then it shows that he can sit and die, and even save the money for the firewood, save the money for the death, and use his own fire, internal strength, and rely on that. The internal strength, the fire of samādhi burned out, it was so extraordinary!The clothes were good when they were burned. He didn’t use that kind of self-immolation like other people’s. There was a fate that caused a sensation at the time, and tens of thousands of people came to see him off.

He is just a very ordinary person, so why?It is not based on precepts and wisdom, nor did he say to study the scriptures. He relies on a kind of faith in the Buddha, and then honestly recites the Buddha. In each Buddha's name, there is the greatest blessing of merit, and the greatest blessing of merit comes from this Buddha's name. , It’s not about what precept and concentration wisdom you cultivate. In fact, precept and concentration wisdom is only incidental, a natural response. The real merit lies in this Buddha sign.Therefore, only honest people can feel the greatest merit, and if we cultivators practice in this way, then can we truly grasp the most core practice.

Okay, now the time is up, we come to worship Buddha and vows, and there is still another vows left in this one. Next month we will worship the Buddha in yoga. We must cherish and eliminate karma in these two sessions. Do you have any now? Bring a handkerchief?If not, we will have toilet paper and facial tissues to eliminate karma. We are about to take precepts already!Okay, is there a problem?

Fellow initiates: Amitabha!A normal person means that if day and night are constant, at night if a person is lying in bed and wants to sleep.  

Master Renjing: The constant day and night refers to when you are awake and when you are capable, which means as far as possible. It is impossible for us living beings to keep on day and night, but Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can.

Fellow practitioner: But what if you don't recite the Buddha?

Master Renjing: Just keep thinking until you fall asleep!This is also considered to be constant day and night, according to the standard of ordinary people, so we have to sleep with the Buddha's name before going to bed. This means that you only need to think about it, and it is not forced. You depend on your own abilities and where your realm is.These standards refer to what we can do now. Actually, it doesn’t mean that you have to do this in order to die. Understand?Yes, because we don’t need anything at all according to the eighteen vows, we don’t have any conditions. If we believe in our wishes, we just say yes, and we don’t say how much you have to read!No, faith and wishes are the most important thing. "Whether you die or not depends on the existence of faith and wishes"!What Master Ou Yi said, right?Okay, that's it.
