Thank you very much for the enthusiastic arrangement of the Dongfa Lay, and also thank the Dharma Dharma of our Singapore Youth Propaganda Group for your assistance, and of course also thank all of us Bodhisattva Lays here today!The attendance was very enthusiastic. Maybe everyone was originally prepared to participate in the first Buddha one, and they all signed up. I will explain this cause and condition to you later. Today's change in this cause and condition also taught me a lesson, that lesson ?Impermanence.
Impermanence is performed by our side at any time. It's just to see how our hearts perceive impermanence. This is a very good course. If we really understand it, we can be considered enlightened from a certain angle!You see, such a good cause can also help us to enlighten. If we don’t know how to use our heart, we will think, alas!Why did it happen? I finally asked for leave, and then I was looking forward to it for so long that there was a rare meditation conference, the Buddha's first Fa conference was so ruined.
Damn!At the beginning, we have troubles again. Originally, we practiced for happiness and liberation. As a result, because of the various changes in causes and conditions in the dojo, oh!Worries are heavier, as is usual!Some fellow practitioners went to the dojo to practice together. One moment for this little thing, one moment for some changes in the operation, they became troubled. They didn't know how to use their minds and didn't know how to practice. Then who would suffer in the end?Own!
Oh!So if we know how to use various causes and conditions to experience different courses, we will have the opportunity to enlighten at any time. Therefore, from the perspective of this and this Fa, I think this is a good thing, and I am also a little more relaxed. If it is to take the Buddha one, it is taken from morning to night, and now we only need an hour and a half to get off work.
You are very comfortable sitting over there, I am very nervous here, why is it so nervous?Some people say, oops!Isn't Master Renjing still nervous after giving lectures for more than ten years?Let me report to you that today our guardian of the Dharma gave me this topic. It is also a test for me. I have been a monk and have studied Buddhism for almost XNUMX years. I have made friends and have never met, but what do I think?I am also very grateful that if there are no such great virtues as our guardians to open this topic with me, and this test question is given to me, then I will not have a karma to form a relationship with the Medicine Master Buddha, so I also cherish it, but it is because of the comparison in the past. It's been a year!What happened last year, oh!Last year, because we formed a Dharma predestined here last year, everyone was very happy, and some of the new practitioners who were spreading the Dharma here also signed up for the first Buddha one.
So, originally, we wanted to say that it’s best to continue this karmic condition. It’s not just our old fellow practitioners on Facebook. We can have a very solemn dojo where we meet regularly for meditation. At the same time, we can also take care of it. These members of our propaganda group are just new practitioners to me!
Of course, this is ideal for these newly formed cultivators, but if the cause is not mature, the same is true. Just like the principle we just talked about, we also treat it with joy and give us a kind of realization and education, so maybe , You see my eyes are wide open today, alas!Maybe, after seeing you this time, I don't know when I will come next time. Really impermanence is like this.
This impermanence, it’s hard to tell if you don’t see each other. There are many factors. There may not be a good destiny, or a good destiny. Maybe I will die tomorrow, because it is more dangerous for me to fly. It's hard to say, this is all impermanence, but what?As long as I...I believe that as long as I have the opportunity, I will cherish the Dharma predestined with fellow practitioners in Singapore, but if we can continue to mature and maintain the relationship with the fellow practitioners in Singapore, I will leave this to the Bodhisattva.

In the sutras, we see that each sutra has six kinds of achievements at the beginning, and one sutra is the Buddha's preaching!The Fa conference that teaches the Scriptures must have six causes. Those who want to teach the Fa and those who want to listen to the Fa, so you all have merit when you come to listen to the Fa.
Then none of you come to listen to me alone, you can’t tell it to the camera, you have to have a venue, and the law protector is very hard to arrange, all of these must have at least six factors to be sufficient, so our gathering, although Just an hour and a half is very rare, and it takes great blessings to participate in such a special puja together. Therefore, on the one hand, we are grateful and cherish fate, and look forward to the continued continuation of this fate. , But if there is no such predestined condition, it does not matter if the blessing is not enough and the predestined condition is not mature enough!We can go online, and I will continue to teach on Facebook, then I believe that, on our side, in fact, everyone is very close to the Fa. It’s the second time to come these days, and the fellow practitioners of the Propaganda Group here are also very good. Support, I am also very grateful to them.
But why this time the Buddha will be cancelled?The main problem is also the system, the system, because the last time we came... we held a fa conference for lectures, just like tonight, there will be no problem, but if the Buddha is one, we will practice together in one day. , That involves some of the past practices that they operate, and some of the practices in the system.
Well, I actually don’t understand this aspect, because my lord has been a monk to preach the Dharma for more than ten years. From the standpoint of a monk, we must follow the precepts given by the Buddha. We absolutely don’t talk about it. Transaction, no price, so I don’t have a public account on Facebook anywhere.Some people want to protect me and still ask for a long time. Master asks you to give me the account. After I have checked it, I know that it is for the sake of the Fa. You are for this reason for cultivating the correct cause for yourself and protecting the Three Jewels. Will give, because if you don’t give it, you can’t do horns. This is stipulated by the Buddha. The family must have the opportunity to grow blessed fields. Therefore, I have always followed this principle. Because I am a monk, I must It is necessary to keep the precepts, but the lay people also have their position, and we cannot say that it is wrong.
Especially this time, we also noticed, wow!It turns out that Singapore charges a lot more. In terms of doing any activities, including those in the Buddhist world, I think it is more supportive to me than other propaganda groups. They did not charge me, but they charge you. That is Their past practices were not directed at me. We also have to respect other people's systems!
But when I heard, ah!Toll?And at that time, our posters had already been printed, and many fellow practitioners had already started enrolling students and began signing up. It was a normal procedure, and after a while, I answered the message saying that the meeting is now held and the internal meeting is decided, because Many people are involved in decision-making.
That’s not what Dongfa’s layman meant. I know, because he originally prayed for me to preach the Dharma. He is also very happy to hope that I can often form bonds with you here, but he also has to respect everyone’s opinions inside. Later, I learned that, as a result of the meeting, everyone was charged XNUMX yuan, not much!It's cheap for them!It seems to have heard that Singapore also received XNUMX yuan and XNUMX yuan, but there are still quotes.
This...I finally gained more knowledge, and then I thought about it, because when I heard it, I immediately felt that it was not good. Although I respect and understand their practices, it is because my image is not me. In order to maintain my personal image, I want to maintain the position of Buddhist precepts.
So later I discussed with them, I said whether a compromise method could be used, and we must also guide the public, that is, I provide a merit box for everyone to support and rejoice. Later, I didn’t pass it. If I didn’t pass this suggestion, I would just Otherwise, we will cancel it temporarily, and we will continue to make this dharma fate after we have a consensus.Then I think they made this decision. It was not very sudden, because it is like this in many places, and why many people set prices. I thought about this issue later, including our famous master in Taiwan, who published books. You can see that our magic weapons are all. It's getting married, it's free, but many famous masters also charge for this accommodation, and some avenues also charge for it.
Then of course we cannot criticize. I never criticize any person or any group, because each has its own position. As long as you can be responsible for this cause and effect, you are OK. Later, I thought I didn’t charge, never set a price, and I did it again. It's very good, why do you have to do this?I just understood in detail. It turns out that most of the lay practitioners, Dharma protectors, and fellow practitioners they have experienced will not take the initiative to support them, and most of them will not. Therefore, they have difficulties in operation. Taking into account a situation in this regard, so this is their cause and fate, and they have to use this pricing mage.
In other words, Singapore may also suffer from a...this is because of the environment, the Western education!The notion that users pay, etc., has created such a ethos, so we are just talking about understanding objectively here, and don’t comment on it. If there is a cause, we will try our best to be in the Fa, and we cherish each other. It’s fine if there is no cause, it doesn’t matter. As for my decision to cancel the Buddha, the main thing is to insist on this donation.it is good!So I also hope that everyone can be considerate and tolerant.

(three)Lawyer Guo Qing maintains strict precepts

Well, today’s topic, let me talk about this. Just now our protector introduced one to us. He said that he advertises and helps us advertise. He is also very dedicated to protect us. Then this cause, we just talked about I would like to pray to Lawyer Guo Qing, the elder of Taiwan's religious circles, this is... Lawyer Guo Qing is the master I rely on.
I followed him to learn the precepts at the beginning of last year. Of course, in the past two years, I have to pay special attention to the precepts because the monks will stare at them and even memorize the precepts. Today, I don’t bring much because there are some inconveniences. Some of the notebooks were not brought over in Malaysia, and the entire script was memorized, because attorney Guo Qing, he specializes in the study of commandments and is very rigorous.
This year, he is in his sixties and has become a monk for more than XNUMX years, and he is practicing asceticism. It is a rare virtue of strict precepts, because modern people don’t like to take precepts very much. It seems that monks, including monks, often develop predestined relations... open predestined relations. Because it’s inconvenient to keep the precepts rigidly and rigidly when you go out and stay with everyone, the ethos of precepts is becoming less and less prosperous.But the reason why our lawyer Guo Qing was able to become Taiwan’s treasure, represents the most respected position of the Lvzong in Taiwan’s religious circles, in addition to his own strict discipline, his monk’s precepts, his This experience and the current work of the master who is also responsible for the two monasteries, so we, especially his own practice, will also briefly introduce you here. Have you heard of the Banzhou Sanmai?This practice.You must have heard of the retreat!Retreat means to close the door and it is called retreat. You can also watch it at home, but this is not the case in other people’s retreats. He retreats once for three years and closed three times. So what is going on here?Cultivating Banzhou samādhi, Banzhou samādhi is to walk around the Buddha, ninety days without sleep, ninety days!And he didn't sit down, and had to travel around the Buddha for ninety days all day.
If I collapse in one day, I am still young!It seems that I can't do it in one day, wow!How much perseverance is needed. He eats one meal a day and one meal a day. For more than XNUMX years, I have also tried one meal a day, because it is not easy to be his disciple, but also to pay some grades. This is not easy. Ah, when there was an eclipse in the sun, I took a group to worship the Buddha, and I almost fainted when I went down, and my eyes were shining brightly with Venus.This must have conditions. You must have perseverance, and your physical fitness is still good enough. So I am not good enough to have a long-term relationship, but I also work towards this goal. Now I can only do it after noon if I don’t eat after noon. I didn’t eat it, I also saved afternoon tea, saved afternoon tea, saved dinner, and saved midnight snack.
Many fellow practitioners and lay practitioners around me have followed this precept with me, saving a lot of money, and getting better and better. You can do it with your heart, so that you don’t have to count the six days of fasting and ten days of fasting. It’s very simple. Eight passes every day.I just briefly introduced that. Lawyer Guo Qing’s strict discipline, so his status in Taiwan is very respected. How can I give you another example to let everyone have such a concept, because how do we admire everyone? It's hard to say...very consummate.
As for him, we hold this national fasting dharma conference once a year in Taiwan. His virtues can call five or six thousand monks to make offerings, and he can take a five or six-hour car ride all the way to come, isn’t it For a little support, it was very tiring. I sat back and got hungry again. It was so far away... five or six thousand monks, tens of thousands of lay priests.That day, he worked together to accomplish this conference. He is the chairman of the Zhai Sang Conference, and the top leader is a great virtue. If you don't have this virtue, you don't have the effort to participate!What's more, the great virtue of the layman has contributed money and efforts, and tens of thousands of people have come to support this Fa conference, which has been held for a long time once a year.
This is his most...From these things, you can imagine that he is very busy, very busy, in a very busy situation, and Southeast Asia does not seem to have preached the precepts, so I hope that through me It’s my heart that if the fate is mature next year, I will try my best to pray for a lawyer with my law protector in Malaysia.When you ask a lawyer to preach the precepts, I can preach the five precepts, and a master can preach, the bodhisattva precepts need three masters, a Wiener and waiter, and five masters. It’s not easy for them to take the time to come out. It costs a lot of money to run the Fa conference, renting a venue, and all kinds of expenses, but we are willing to make the effort. Of course I have no money. My guardian, I am responsible for praying, because the monk is not willing to agree to it!
Not everyone can agree to the request. I also ask for a long time. Monk, you must agree to me. If the destiny is sufficient, then I hope that for fellow practitioners in Singapore and Malaysia, I will be able to accomplish a very rare preaching conference. At the moment, it is tentative. The monk verbally promised that I can pray that he can arrange time. He is very old, and he has very little time to work in this area.
I can’t get busy with affairs in Taiwan, so he promised me verbally, then I am also motivated. There is no problem with the law protector, but there is another problem, which is the number of applicants. If the number of applicants is small, How dare I please?Right! Wait for the five masters, there are only three who receive the precepts, can you see it?It is possible to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, Taiwan dollars!It's not that Singapore dollars are going to scare people to death, and pass the precepts to three people. These three are too bad fortune, oh!So although we are scheduled to be around December XNUMXrd next year, we will start enrolling students now.

(four)Grasp the cause of ordination right now

Then I think this enrollment task is not easy for me, why?Because many laymen, including the old practitioners, have a wrong concept of taking precepts, they have been in Buddhism for a long time, and even the longer they dare not take precepts. Including our Dongfa laymen, I am also admonishing him now, and it is best to come. Initiate the precepts, then why?The concept is wrong, I feel that I must do the five precepts and complete the bodhisattva precepts, and then I will take it, or else I will break the precepts or what will happen, I tell you, if you really take it well, you will do it well, and you don’t have to take it anymore. , I really feel that I have done it, and I don’t have to suffer at all if I do it!What are you doing?right?Sleep at home and don't waste this time.
Think about it, everyone. It’s because you don’t do well, you don’t maintain the precepts well, you need the blessings of the Three Jewels, you need the monk’s inheritance of the precepts, and the master’s explanation, telling you how to keep this precept well, when the precepts are generally violated. How can confession be clean, and don’t be afraid. If you are a non-precepted person, you will be more at ease to violate the precepts by judging by common sense, right?But don't forget it!You take the precepts with peace of mind, you go off the precepts, you go off the precepts secretly, and quietly, are there any results?Have!One more thing, if you have never received the precepts, after the results you receive in the future are reported to the Three Ways, and then come out after the immeasurable calamity, is there any way to meet the causes and conditions of taking the precepts, or even encounter the Dharma?Very difficult!Because you didn't get that fate.But if you take the precepts today, even if you break the precepts and fall to the hell of the most serious hell, you can still encounter the Dharma, and you can also encounter the causes and conditions of the precepts. You must be a Buddha. How big is the difference, one is The endless reincarnation is that no matter how you receive the reward, you will surely become a Buddha sooner or later in the future.
This is very important!So in our whole lifeWhen encountering Buddhism, we can also encounter the causes and conditions for preaching the precepts. The truly pure... the monks with pure precepts come to help us preach the precepts. How rare is this cause and predecessor!If you do not grasp it and plant a seed first, it will be difficult to have such a special cause. If you miss it, it is really like this!Don’t think that there are Dharma everywhere and you will preach the precepts everywhere. The problem is that you don’t necessarily have to do it anymore. It’s hard to get it. It’s not that after you do it, it’s not necessarily without obstacles. Maybe your family members will hinder you, or your relatives and creditors may hinder you. You can’t go if you want. It’s not that simple. So everyone must know that hearing this cause and condition now means that you have this blessing. Only if you have this good root, the cause and condition will arise in front of you.
Well, if you are not sure how to say it, the good roots are not enough, not enough, although there is not enough, you missed it face to face, so of course, there is no way to describe how wonderful this cause is and how rare it is, and there is no way to do it in a short time. Change everyone's fear of asking for precepts.There are still some mistakes about this. On the one hand, I suggest to talk to you as much as possible. On the other hand, you can go online to listen to me if you have a fate. I also recorded eight episodes of Sanskrit.com in Toronto, Canada the year before. In the lectures on the bodhisattva vows, from the very beginning, I talked about many concepts of vows and the order of our practice.

To practice, you have to come from the order of taking precepts, learning precepts, and keeping precepts... This is called practice, the correct order. If you have not taken precepts, have not started learning precepts, have not started precepts, you will never be practicing at all. It's useless to listen to more sutras every day, or say, yes!I'm a vegetarian. I don't kill, steal, swear, or talk falsely. It just seems to be practicing.In fact, you have no precepts, no precepts, the mind you hold may not have bodhichitta, and your concept may not be correct. All these factors, that is to say, even if you are taking precepts and are practicing The way of keeping the precepts may also be blind practice, because you didn’t follow the steps, so everyone, I’m going to say it briefly. There is no way to explain this principle very clearly at a time.
Briefly and directly tell you what the correct order is. The first one is to ask for the precepts first. Just like when we enter Buddhism, take the three refuges first. You are the true Buddha disciple. You did not underestimate this ritual, or say that this is a motivation. , If you don’t have this action of taking three refuges first, it means that you have come to Buddhism as a guest, tourist.You are not from your own family, and your sincerity has not been expressed. If it is a bit ugly, it is my own!I am the one to give you an experience!It's a bit ugly and suspected of law theft, wow!Strictly speaking!Yes, do you want to sign up when you go to school?Then the school will give you a student ID, just like our conversion certificate!You didn't sign up to go to the classroom, can you?No way!right?Is it an eavesdropping? This is my own inference!
We are just going to experience it. Of course, Buddhism is not so strict. If you want to come, it is Amitabha, come and come!It's ok,There is no stipulation that you must take refuge in the Three Jewels, but as a master, I encourage everyone and explain this truth. Indeed, we did not go to Buddhism. You said that you want to practice and you want to learn Buddhism, take refuge in the Three Jewels, and follow Buddhism. The monk learns, but you don’t mean to have this intention. Is this heart sincere?You think you have your heart, you are really determined to come to learn the Fa and Buddhism, and you may also have good intentions, but I just said that it is like a tourist, a tourist!You are not from your own family, so how effective is your learning?It must be bad, right?It must be bad!It’s yourself that loses. You are not easy to sense, and it is not easy to understand when you listen. If you don’t understand, people will become enlightened when you listen to it. If you listen to it ten thousand times, you won’t be enlightened. That’s the foundation. The root of what you should do is not taken. under.
Taking refuge in the Three Jewels is a starting point. When you come to practice, you must start with the five precepts. Then how do you hold it?You must first ask for precepts and feel a precept. The bodhisattva will inherit this precept with you. After that, he will have this blessing power and you have the guardian god to protect you so that it is not easy for you to break the precept, and it is true. When you want to break the precepts, you can actually give up the precepts first. You don’t have to worry about going to hell. If it’s not that serious, there must be a way to deal with it. There are many ways. In my Brahma Net Sutra, what is said in the notes. It is very clear. If you listen carefully, you will feel at ease. Then you have the bodhisattva vow, wow!It's hard!I haven't maintained the five precepts. These are two different things.
The bodhisattva vows also contain the five vows. Killing, stealing, licentiousness, and arrogance cannot be committed, and they must be maintained!It’s not that you can’t do it. Everyone will do it. Everyone has the opportunity to repent, but the bodhisattva vows will be more difficult?No, he just said that there are more precepts, and that there are more precepts, and not every one of them will get XNUMX points right away, no!Just let us learn more, and learn more is better, right?
When we learn the five precepts, we only graduate from elementary school, and when we learn the bodhisattva precepts, we just graduate from college. If we learn more, then how much you learn, how much you do, and how much you count, must be better than not learning or not holding on. It is definitely only good to gain merit. There is no harm. We generally think of the harms. Those who are afraid of the east and the west are actually not the heart of practice.

(six)To cultivate the Mahayana method, you must start from the beginning of the bodhisattva path

In fact, many of the fellow practitioners here are old cultivators and they are very pious. You really want to practice. You have to go the right way and the method is right. If you don’t have the foundation, you may waste decades without seeing the results, especially this bodhisattva vow. More extraordinary, why?Because of our Mahayana method, the Buddhism we practice in China is based on the Mahayana method.

Sincerity to people must be manifested in your single-mindedness and behavior. Of course, there is such an induction, and the feedback induction you get is the most extraordinary, right?
If you are so diligent to make so many friends, those people also care about you and don’t care about you. Similarly, the Buddha... Of course the Buddha is very compassionate. He doesn’t have these distinctions, but the problem is that we don’t feel it. Because our minds are too messy, we can’t get the blessings of the Buddha because of our insensitivity, so it’s also very important to study one method deeply.
Then you said that we are now coming to receive this medicine master Buddha Tathagata's law, do we have miscellaneous cultivation?It depends on what you use and what you use. If you want to specialize in the Pure Land, but you have a predestined relationship with this Taoist temple, and you have a predestined relationship with this Dharma. You can rejoice. Your mind is not messy, it is rejoicing!It's okay. You didn't find it on purpose. You should treat it as a bodhisattva, and take part in rejoicing your merits. I don’t have so much pain, and I don’t have so much of this...this need, why!What are you doing!As long as I can eat without cooking, and without washing after eating, I am very happy. I ask to die. There is such a good place. It is true or false. Of course I can’t believe it, but I still hope it is true if I don’t believe it. I reluctantly listened to the old monk's teachings. I said, was this state good at that time?He said it's a pity, if you continue or attain samādhi, you will brake at the first encounter and you will devote yourself wholeheartedly, so this is a personal fate.You see, why did the Buddha make so many wishes?He attracts different sentient beings. Some sentient beings don’t want any money you give him. Anyway, I don’t need money, but this happens to prescribe the right medicine. I am very responsive. Then it immediately attracts my attention, oh!So everyone should know that this is skillful and convenient. In the end, all wishes are for accomplishing one thing. What is it?Become a Buddha!correct.
Wow!Everyone is enlightened, whether it is Guanyin Bodhisattva, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Medicine Buddha, including Medicine Buddha Buddha, the Buddhas of the ten directions are the same. Then this wish is to bless the teachings of Xiu Nan, so whether we talk about the Hinayana, hearing, and predestined feeling, bless him to let him go back to small and grow. This is also said in the Lotus Sutra, and there is this same wish. Why?In this way, you can truly become a Buddha, practice the Hinayana method, and cultivate the southern teaching method. You can only achieve the Arahant status, or we say that the Buddhism is not a perfect Buddha. According to the Tiantai Buddhism, there are four points to judge the Buddhism. All kinds of levels, the Buddha of elementary school, the Buddha of middle school, the Buddha of university, and the Buddha of research institute have different realms. They are all called Buddhas!
They also feel that they have reached Consummation. They have done what they have done and are not affected by what is left. The Arahant feels that I have graduated. He has also become a Buddha. The problem is different. It is the same Buddha but the realm is different, so it is still I want to persuade everyone, persuade people of this type to go back to small and big sooner or later, and they will bless you...The Medicine Buddha will bless you.
