To be beaten, to be beaten is to remind you, hey!Dude, come back!Don't be confused again, so when you are rewarded with the incense board, and you get a drink, the rule is to immediately bow to the master and be grateful. You must not have resentment and troubles in your heart, and let the three poisons and troubles continue to spread and contaminate your mind again. .

Listening to greetings in the jungle is a very important homework. Listening to greetings and following orders is the basic attitude of jungle practice. In the jungle, the deacon is the biggest from top to bottom. Except for the deacon who enforces the rules, no one can do it at any time. If you have your own opinions, if you have me, you will go against the Tao, and there will be no further practice.Whether you practice Zen Buddhism or not, whether you develop writing, or whether you study teaching, it is the same as breaking the two attachments to self and Dharma. Therefore, in any dojo, the homework of listening to greetings is also a necessary homework for entry into practice.For example, those of us who practice the Pure Land Dharma, must rely on him to save us. If there is still me, it will not be easy for us to become one with the Buddha and to communicate with the Dao.And if you live in the Sangha, you still have a lot of ideas and practices, you will not be able to integrate into the group, you will not be able to receive the teacher's teaching, and your virtue as a disciple will not be complete.

As far as the eye can see, the modern Buddhist monks have a prosperous academic atmosphere, war of words can be seen everywhere, and masters who talk about mysteries and mysteries can also be seen, but unfortunately, most of these people lack the ability to actually practice, so jungle education is now a There is a very urgent need to advocate for revival.Jungle education does not necessarily require majoring in Zen meditation, any jungle can have its own major, but in terms of life education, it is necessary to adopt the jungle life system. Only under the education system can we hope to nurture monks that can be taught.Most of the ancestors and great virtues of the past dynasties were born in jungle education, but in modern times, there are almost no qualified ancestors. The main reason is that the foundation of this jungle education is gone.

In the past few years, I have followed the invitations of all sentient beings on Facebook, and opened more than XNUMX platforms, which have been successively handed over to the students who are often in the online classroom for study management. Most of these people punch in to class every day. In the early stage, they were almost served with three meals and a late-night snack. As long as the troubles and habits appeared, they would be played immediately. I kept it until the next day, so I had a very hard first half year of the class, and I often beat myself to the point where I was out of breath and greatly damaged my vitality.Because the karma of fellow practitioners is almost always happening one after another, often the day is not finished, so in the middle of the night, you have to get up early to start the fight, otherwise the fight will not finish, and my psychological pressure is also very high, I am afraid that I will start too hard. If it is serious, the other party can't understand it, and it will make a grudge with others, and it will not be worth the loss.If it is too light, it will inevitably be eaten by the three poisonous habits of these karma masters from all over the world, and because these people are from all over the world, the temperament and concept of Chinese in each country and region are different. Not only do I have to teach them the teachings of the Dharma, but I also need to consider the different skills of each fellow practitioner, the thought and time spent, which cannot be explained in a few words, and these are all for the purpose of laying down the jungle rules for them to learn the Fa. Basically, cultivate a true sense of respect, and gradually transform various worldly vices into magical instruments, and then we can really talk about practice.

Fortunately, this effort was not in vain, and the performance of most of the practitioners was beyond my expectations. Not only could they all be able to stay at ease and do their homework every day, but also their strong and recalcitrant dispositions could be under the incense board. Gradually become submissive, even though most of them are still of inferior nature, and it is difficult to become a tool for initiating great bodhicitta, but at least in terms of things, they can still punch cards honestly and cultivate for a long time, which is very rare for Buddhist disciples at home. .But if you want to be a model of a monk, in addition to softening your attitude, you have to actually stay in the jungle to receive long-term life education, really sharpen your swords and go into battle. All kinds of habits and faults have to be transformed one by one.The most basic life education for practicing in the jungle is majesty. There is a verse in Buddhism that describes it very vividly: "Holding the voice of the Buddha and slowing the flow of water, chanting the scriptures and walking the road, geese roaming; folded palms like holding water on the chest, standing on top of the body like oil." This is a dignified image of monks in the jungle chanting, walking, clasping their palms, and standing. In the jungle, there are people who are supporting you in your practice all the time, and there is no chance for you to be too lazy.In the past, when I was studying under the seat of the old monk Shengyi at the Po Lin Temple in Hong Kong, during the summer season, a small thatched hut in the deep mountain was full of more than a hundred monks, no matter where they went. Wherever you go to the permanent residence, you will meet people. As long as you have improper prestige, or even a wrong look, someone will immediately "remove karma" for you, and even ask you to go to the Dharma Hall to enjoy the incense board. It is not enough to live on the right path if the karma is always restless.

Life in the jungle seems to be hard and severe, but in fact, according to my own experience, I can get used to it in three or five days physically and mentally, and I can live in it within a month or two, and I don’t want to leave at all.Some of the students in my online classroom were spoiled and couldn't even do housework well. I arranged for them to exercise, and they all got used to it and tasted the joy of the Dharma.Although the living environment there is very simple, the two meals he eats are those kinds of vegetarian dishes, and he sleeps on a two-and-a-half-foot hard bed at night, but once he is tired and his eyes are closed, what is the difference between sleeping in the palace and sleeping in the palace? Woolen cloth?And the quality of sleep is even better, the air in the mountains is good, and there are fewer delusions on weekdays. I only slept for five or six hours, and I am full of energy.What's more, in the faint on weekdays, from time to time, you can hear the clean bells coming from the clock tower all day long, blowing the cool breeze, drinking the pure and cool spring water, this kind of paradise-like pure enjoyment like a fairy, how can it be like a city? The city temples and the hustle and bustle of the city family life can be compared.

When I was a novice in XNUMX, a nun once told me that if there is a chance, it is best to go to the jungle to exercise, and at least to live for three months during the end of summer. This is to train and obey discipline first, which is similar to the meaning of listening to greetings in the jungle. It can be seen that this foundation of selflessness is very important. The sticks of the jungle, the endless true love, and the education of hating iron and not steel are everywhere, all of which are priceless and precious blessings for all sentient beings.In modern families, school education, and interpersonal relationships, few people can truly practice human ethics and moral education, and few people can hear bad words. It is the true and supreme great blessing and great karma of our practitioners in the world.
