XNUMX. To save sentient beings, free will must be respected

Event XNUMX. To save sentient beings, free will must be respected

In Buddhism, I once encountered a cruel test, which almost made me cold to the Buddhist monks. That is, I personally faced oppression similar to the white terror, and this object came from what I originally believed They should be elders who can be trusted. Although the circumstances have changed, they have long since been able to understand and accept them calmly, but I think they should also be put forward to correct them, and it is also for everyone's warning and reference.

The most important difference between ordinary people and saints, between superstition and orthodoxy is whether they can respect the inherent free will of sentient beings. Therefore, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas save sentient beings with compassion, not power or greatness. Reason compels obedience. After I was ordained in the Buddhist sect in a dramatic way, I was faced with the fact that the master was unknown, so he told me to leave the sangha in person, and also asked me to return to the secular world! At that time, when I heard such words, I couldn't believe it and felt like laughing or laughing. At that moment, a feeling of being completely disrespected and arbitrarily ruining the Dharmakaya's wisdom and life suddenly occurred in my heart, and I felt that I was being oppressed by power. Immediately broke out, causing a huge confrontation force in my heart, who respected myself and was strong, thinking who do you think you are?God?Even if you really are God, I can't be willing to be taught at this moment! As an elder, you can call me at will, and leave me so easily, so easily and recklessly ruin my pure and kindness to seek the Dharma and repay the eternal Dao heart, so easily want to use power Was my fate to be a monk in Buddhism for the rest of my life sentenced to death? In this world, when a judge sends a sentence to a person, he must first confess his guilt! In Buddhism, if you want to punish monks, you must have certain norms and procedures. It is not something you can do arbitrarily if you want to use lynching according to your own emotional preferences. How big is the difference? Is it true that as an elder, there is no selfishness and no fault at all, and the fault is always on the weak side? Those many false monks who seem to be elders mixed in in Buddhism can openly and reasonably swagger, blatantly, and do whatever they want in Buddhism, and constantly oppress the younger generation who are innocent and pure to seek the Dharma for their faith. Just because of the status as an elder or senior, is this how compassionate and transforming sentient beings look like in Buddhism? This is simply a big joke.I don't believe that at this moment I don't want to be forced to obey, and there will really be no way to go in Buddhism in the future!

I believe that whoever encounters my situation at that time will definitely not be able to calm down and accept it for a while, unless you are a Buddha. At that time, although I was a beginner, I still understood the cause and effect. Although I was very angry, I didn’t want to retaliate in my heart. I only kept raising my righteous thoughts to persuade myself to accept the test. However, I absolutely did not agree with this kind of behavior. So here I have to put forward to try to correct this kind of wrong trend. At that time, I was not very firm on the matter of becoming a monk, because the ordination was passive, and the goal when I first learned Buddhism was only to be reborn in bliss. I dared to make a wish to undertake the Tathagata's family business before the present, and because of this sudden reverse blessing, it actually stimulated this powerful energy in my heart, prompting me to make a great vow to never return to the commonplace in this life, to me All in all, this is a really good reversal.

After years of studying at home and abroad, I discovered that this phenomenon is actually quite common in today's sangha. The only difference is the level of skills in practice. The patriarchs we saw in the "Biography of High Monks" in the past taught students according to their aptitude, showed great compassion, and did not give up on one person. It seems that it is not easy to find them again in today's sangha.HolyunderAn old monk andfruitunderApart from Qing lawyers, I have not had the opportunity to personally see anyone who can be as thorough as Gu Dade. This phenomenon also made me confused about the behavior of so-called Buddhist disciples. Maybe Modern so-called cultivators have weaker self-confidence, smaller hearts, and weaker self-cultivation. When they fail to capture sentient beings, they often cause troubles themselves. It was originally a good fate, but once they just don’t follow His intentions immediately became enemies, and he could not even be a guest, and some even developed to the level of defense, exclusion, and suppression against you, making you almost infamous, with nowhere to go, everyone. For fear of avoiding it, they have to leave the mainstream of the Sangha and live a life of seclusion and self-study alone, so that once and for all they will no longer have any conflicts of interest.Unlike the friendship of the ancient great virtue, it is really able to attract people with compassion and tolerance. If you see that your dharma in the sangha is really not enough to correspond to the opportunity, he will happily guide you where to get close to the good teachers. The main consideration is to protect and recite your Dharma body and wisdom life with a compassionate heart, rather than the gain or loss of your own interests, the maintenance of self-esteem, and your personal emotional preferences, which easily ruins the path of people who have good intentions to enter Buddhism and cultivate with heart. Is this a just act of legalization?

Analyzing objectively and calmly, I think the root cause of this phenomenon is the loss of trust between people, the lack of self-cultivation to respect individual free will, and the excessive respect for the power of individual authoritarianism, which also makes equality love everything The compassion of all sentient beings is gone.At that time, Confucius taught according to his aptitude, and he had the style of teaching without distinction. It seems that it is difficult to see it again. It has become a slogan to let go of one person in the Buddhist family. Only respect, anyone who is interested in himself will be welcomed, and those who can be loyal and obedient will be reused, regardless of his ability, morality or not, any object that may conflict with his own interests in the future, especially those who have On the contrary, those who are capable of Taoism should be eliminated as soon as possible when the seedlings are young, using various methods to announce to the believers to draw a clear line with them, and even secretly slander without root to cut the grass and remove the roots, so as to avoid future troubles forever.

Such people would rather confine themselves to a small circle to develop their power independently, and be absolutely opposed to all unsuitable practitioners in the outside world. Now, it is really difficult for people who really want to seek the Tao to encounter very good karma. In most monasteries, there are many opportunities to welcome you to cultivate the heavenly retribution. Therefore, we see To many cultivators with ability, ideals and aspirations, in the end they were forced to leave the monastery or monks for self-cultivation.Recently, I also accidentally learned about a doctoral bhikkhu, a bodhisattva monk who was only in his forties and was very virtuous. He was originally favored by the elders, because he was too ambitious in the sangha and could not compromise his personality and adapt to his dojo. There were all kinds of bad personal affairs, so I made a firm vow to fight the starvation seven to seek rebirth, and after fasting and chanting Buddha recitation for more than XNUMX days, I passed away in the sangha. In the end, this matter was actually handled in a low-key manner. After learning about it, I was very saddened because I could fully understand his feelings, and I just didn't do it for myself. At the same time, I was happy for him, because at least he was freed first. In the future, if we want to save this decaying phenomenon in Buddhism, only by objectively finding the root cause, and then correcting it from the perspective of the education of the new generation, can we hope to turn this crisis into a turning point and reverse the artificial behavior of Buddhism. The unruly trend of power and the correctness of the monkhood of the outsiders have enabled more people who can practice with good intentions in the future to follow their roots and achieve self-serving and altruistic merits in Buddhism.
