Gradually, I feel that even the only pure land method in this world that can quickly escape is so far away, and I am anxious, helpless, and confused. Interfering with the confidence of those who recite the Buddha's name, it seems that no matter how much you recite this Buddha's name, you can't see the news of rebirth in the West, and there is no hope for rebirth in bliss.

I felt deeply about this myself. In the twelfth year when I let go of all predestination and became a monk and devoted myself to the Pure Land, this feeling kept going up and down with me along the way, until one day, it seemed that Amitabha heard me. The voice of my heart, I was blessed that I accidentally obtained a copy of "Quotations of Master Shandao" and saw the correct guidance of the master on the pure land practice. When I saw the teaching in it, I immediately started to fluff my clothes, my body and mind trembled, and my scalp was full of pimples. When I woke up, I couldn't feel the movement of the outside world at all in my mind. I only heard this fleshy heart vibrating up and down like a drum. I felt like I was about to suffocate, and it took a long time to come back to my senses.Finally, after XNUMX years of ascetic cultivation, I have experienced countless hard and long-awaited days. I have tried every means to go deep into various teachings and scriptures to find answers. It can further prove that I am absolutely hopeless in this life, my disappointment and helplessness are increasing day by day, and my anxiety is almost reaching the limit. This life is absolutely certain to be reborn in the blissful world.Because Master Kaiding ancient and modern quotations and teachings can be immediately corresponding and understandable to me, who has been studying various religions and teachings for XNUMX years and has experience in teaching and preaching the Dharma, so I have no doubts about it. You will be able to know the taste of the whole sea.At that very moment, all my doubts about the teachings for many years seemed to be resolved, and the only thing left was to go to the sutras for formal verification.From that day on, I let go of all my thoughts and devoted myself to studying the five works of Master Shandao in nine volumes, and even re-learning the works of the ancestors of the Pure Land teachings, from Nagarjuna, Tianqin Bodhisattva, Tanluan Patriarch, Daochuo Zen Master, Master Shandao's representative works were all re-studied, and it took another three years.At the same time, I went back and re-understood the teachings of Master Yinguang and Master Ruyi, only to find that the meanings and principles they taught were very consistent with each other. It’s just that we, who were not open-minded in the past, died in words and couldn’t read them thoroughly for a while.In fact, Master Yinguang talked about the Pure Land Dharma door everywhere in the "Wenchao", which relies entirely on the power of Buddha. . .And Master Ruiyi often said: "Whether or not to be reborn depends on whether we have faith or vows, and whether one's taste is high or low depends on the depth of Buddha's recitation." This does not clearly show that whether or not to be reborn has absolutely nothing to do with our practice of reciting Buddha. The depth of karma, as long as you have the faith and vows, everyone can rely on the Buddha's vows and be reborn as equals.All the teachings of the Pure Land Patriarchs are nothing more than telling us this key point, this truth, but we all misunderstood it. With our personal habits, we combined the Pure Land Dharma with the self-reliance Dharma that is difficult to do, and we were confused. No wonder Amitabha was anxious when he saw it, so he hurriedly showed that Master Shandao, the second patriarch of the Pure Sect, came to teach us the past and present, and revise the Pure Land teachings explained by other patriarchs.The sentient beings of our age have finally come to the fortune, and at the same time it shows that the hardships we have suffered all along have almost come to an end.

In recent years, whether in Taiwan or all over the mainland, there are great virtues who are vigorously promoting the pure land thought of Master Shandao. Each school's exposition is skillful and has its own characteristics, which can have a great impact on the theory and teaching of the traditional practice of chanting Buddhism. I myself have learned a lot from it and have benefited a lot from it, because the method itself does have such a powerful force. For example, as Master Shandao taught in "Guangjing Shu", this method of thinking and practice can regulate the past and the present. Daozheng revealed the vagueness of his ancestors and Bodhisattvas in the past, applying the cultivation theories of other sects to the easy path of the Pure Land, so that the pure saving function of the Pure Land Dharma door can be truly manifested.At present, it is not difficult to find relevant study materials on the Internet in Taiwan or the mainland. Some masters have collected a very rich collection of teaching materials with the standpoint of founding the Pure Land sect. It advocates retreating and reciting Buddha with a heart that relies on the power of Buddha. Some people still bear the identity of the inheritance of his patriarchal lineage. While transforming from the traditional pure land thought to the good guide thought, they also need to take into account both sides when lecturing the scriptures. More or less, most of the masters have been able to appreciate the extraordinary teachings of Master Shandao.The characteristic of my personal explanation is that it focuses more on simplifying the theory, and directly guides Buddhist practitioners to implement the practice. In the shortest time, we can directly lead the practitioners directly to the core of the teaching, and we can quickly build up the confidence in rebirth. Abstain from reciting Buddhahood, renounce evil and cultivate goodness, and practice this special blissful practice with the feeling of living in the Land of Ultimate Bliss.

In fact, the Pure Land Dharma can, in the final analysis, require no theory at all. Therefore, all sentient beings who cannot understand the truth of the three evil paths can be saved. The achievement of the Pure Land Dharma depends entirely on the power of the Buddha's vows. Therefore, as long as the heart is truly satisfied Believe in the vows, recite the Buddha according to the force, or even hear and see the magnetic field blessing of the six-character famous name.When we want to get close to good teachers and learn the Pure Land Dharma door, because the emphasis of each Dharma master will inevitably be different, that is because each person’s stand and the depth of their own beliefs are different, so the explanations are also different. There are different play characteristics.Those who study, only need to look at the personal fate to get close to the good teachers who are destined, and accept the corresponding help and fate.His representative work is "Guan Jing Si Tie Shu", which is a very important discourse that summarizes all the Pure Land sutras.

Master Shandao is the second patriarch of the Pure Land. Why can his works really play a role in saving the world until now?In fact, when Master Shandao of the Tang Dynasty was promoting this practice in Chang'an City, it can be said that he has reached the extraordinary scene of chanting Buddha in every household. It is like the deity of Amitabha Buddha, which surpasses all the Buddhas in the ten directions. He is really the king of Buddhas and deserves it .The dharma of the Pure Land patriarchs passed down in the future, such as the Zen master Daochuo, are also superior to other contemporary sects. This is because the dharma of the Buddha Amitabha has surpassed all the Buddhas.However, because Chinese Buddhism has experienced many tribulations for more than XNUMX years, the works of Master Shandao were spread to Japan by chance, so they have been preserved and gradually spread to the present. Status has long been regarded as supreme.In Taiwan, it is said that an old layman silently led the congregation to practice together, but it did not have much influence. Later, through the joint investment of many masters and great virtues at home and abroad, this teaching was widely spread. Come, this is really the only way for sentient beings to be liberated at the end of the Dharma, and sentient beings are truly blessed.

Therefore, the Pure Land Dharma in the future will no longer rely on the traditional self-reliance of other sects to practice the Dharma, rely on oneself to cultivate a pure mind, feel the Buddha's reception and guidance with the effort of not having a single thought, and rely XNUMX% on the Buddha's forty-eight vows for salvation Through the power, all sentient beings with the upper, middle and lower faculties can truly be liberated.Such catastrophes are encountered in hundreds of thousands of kalpas, the only way for sentient beings to escape the three realms of samsara. If we do not try our best to introduce them to others, as Buddhist practitioners and Dharma teachers who promote the teachings of the sutras, we are truly ashamed of all sentient beings and the teacher’s kindness. , Therefore, I also do my part and do my best, and I have compiled several treatises and dozens of CD-ROMs for free circulation.One of them is titled "The Extensive Theory of the Pure Land Religion".
