There is no doctrinal or bodhicitta-like deep connotation, so the dreamed situations are only fragmentary.For example, I have seen a scene like the picture above in the western link. Many images of Amitabha Buddha, large and small, appear in the entire void, accommodating the weak me, making me feel very warm and dependable.In XNUMX, during the time of global hype about disaster predictions, I was also taking the opportunity, and according to Master Shandao's pure land thought, I actively persuaded fellow practitioners in various places to view the predictions with peace of mind, reciting Buddhahood, and being at ease. , I once dreamed at night that a vast Buddha body like Sambhogakaya Buddha that almost filled the entire void was facing me and said that the disaster prophecy was all right, and after speaking, the Buddha image disappeared.At that time, I honestly shared this dream with fellow practitioners around me.But these are only short-lived appearances, and apart from dreaming of Buddhas and scriptures more often when the heart is first aroused, in the past ten years, I have rarely dreamed of the state of the Three Jewels in my sleep. .From the interpretation of the scriptures, because those who are new to the heart usually have a particularly pure and sincere heart for believing in and taking refuge in the Three Jewels, so they are more likely to sense Taoism, and Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will also bless the beginners in order to By strengthening their confidence, it is often possible to bless sentient beings in the form of appearances. When the practitioner's practice has entered a stable stage, this blessing method will also be transformed into the connotation of the three aspects of morality, concentration and wisdom. Bless all beings in the underworld so that they can live on the right path to practice.Another situation may also be due to the fact that the practitioner’s habitual karmic obstacles of indulging in greed and tainting the five desires appear from time to time, which makes his motivation to learn Buddhism and practice become weaker and weaker, and the centripetal force for the Three Jewels becomes weaker and weaker. The Buddha is in front of me, I have been studying Buddhism for two years, the Buddha is in the sky, I have been studying Buddhism for three years, and the Buddha is gone!Therefore, the chance of seeing Buddha in a dream will naturally become less and less.

I also feel very ashamed. In the past ten years, although I have been reciting Buddha continuously every day, I have also retreated for long and short periods many times. I want to practice the kung fu of reciting the Buddha. After two and a half months, I have had many experiences of single-mindedly chanting Buddha, and I have been able to have a clearer and clearer understanding of the theory of Buddha chanting. I even met Master Shandao's Pure Land theory eight years ago. After learning from Taoism and establishing the confidence to decide this life now, I have been able to continuously increase my firm confidence in learning Buddhism based on my own real use over the years.However, there has been no special breakthrough in the realm of experience only in the practice of chanting Buddhism, but in accordance with the teachings of Master Shandao, I can honestly and uninterruptedly chant my name every day.Although I am not very concerned with the experience of the state of mindfulness of the Buddha, I have already understood that the matter of rebirth does not depend on the skill and state of mindfulness of the Buddha. However, in order to strive for high-quality, high-quality life and death without illness, and to be a good example for all sentient beings, so I have spare energy, and I still want to perfect it even more in the chanting of this Buddha name.

Now I have been chanting Buddha honestly for many years, but I still observe from time to time that I am still chanting delusional thoughts while chanting, distracting my mind, capturing my mind, sometimes gaining and sometimes ups and downs, chanting Buddha. Occasionally, the realm will even retreat to a state of earnestness that is not as good as when the heart started.On weekdays and at night, there are sometimes messy plots, such as some TV, newspaper, movie and TV stars who have hardly watched the TV, newspaper, movie and TV editions since they studied Buddhism for more than ten years, such as Chow Yun-Fat and the like. The performances appear in my dreams, and there will also be events and scenes that I have never experienced in my life... Most of them are very fragmentary, appearing in scenes without chapters, like a film that has never been edited. When I wake up, I will feel particularly ashamed and uncomfortable. I feel annoyed and blame myself for how I have studied Buddhism for so long. Ever since I established my faith in rebirth, I have been reciting the Buddha’s name every day. How can I still dream of these chaotic images instead of all the scenes related to chanting?Doesn't this mean that the seeds that are present in the field of eight consciousnesses are still the cause of scattered samsara, and the cause of rebirth is more than the cause of rebirth?Is it also possible that my belief in and wishing to chant Buddha is not sincere enough, and the meritorious power of induction and transformation is so weak.Indeed, under this circumstance, it is even more difficult for me not to face up to the practice of chanting Buddha, and I dare not allow myself to continue to enjoy Buddha chanting casually. Although it is enough to say this Buddha name, no matter how much you recite it, you can still be reborn. , the key is that as long as the beliefs and wishes continue, but even if you die like this, the quality is not high, and you have to face all kinds of karmic obstacles and illnesses before your death, and you must be able to last until the Buddha's light shines and the karmic obstacles are eliminated. These pains will stop.Moreover, the power of the vicious seeds stored in our alaya consciousness since beginningless time is very powerful. If we don’t really have faith and happiness in the present, and recite the Buddha earnestly, so as to gradually eliminate karmic obstacles, there is no guarantee that we will not be able to do so in the future. Lose your faith in yourself.Master Shandao said that all relying on the power of Buddha, sincere and sincere can be reborn according to faith and vows, and even Master Yinguang explained the self-power of the two powers. It refers to the mental strength of one’s faith and desire to survive. If the mental strength of this faith and desire to survive is not sincere and sincere, it means that one’s faith and desire are still very weak, then there will still be an eventuality in the rebirth, and it is impossible to live in the present. This will really build up the confidence to decide on the rebirth, so people who recite the Buddha still have to put more effort on the top of honestly holding the name and reciting the Buddha with one heart, so that not only will they not be afraid of the situation of self-return, but they will also be able to benefit from the current situation. will be of great significance.

The level of this kind of confidence is not only about factual beliefs but also rational beliefs, so since I established the confidence in my future life about eight years ago, my confidence has indeed grown year by year, and the current benefits and various merits I feel are more than enough to prove me. There is nothing wrong with living on the right path of rebirth in the West.In the past three days, the inspiration I felt when I saw the Buddha in my dream was not that I finally saw the auspicious image in my dream again, but the blessing of this auspicious image made me alert, and I must face up to the sincere and earnest recitation of the Buddha. , The relative relationship between the continuous recitation of the Buddha's name and the true faith and true vows, and this is also related to the important matter of whether a Buddhist chanting person who seems to have full faith and vows can really be reborn in this life, so I have to put it up and lead everyone to rebirth together. To contemplate and receive.

Although it is said that "whether or not to be reborn depends on the existence of beliefs and wishes" as said by the ancestors, but whether your beliefs and wishes are true or not is another key issue. You will definitely be reborn when you are reborn, but in which way you will be reborn will vary from person to person.And this problem, I have already found a solution to this problem when I preached the Dharma in various places in the past.I just persuade everyone in a very simple and safe way. If you want to confirm whether you really have true beliefs and true wishes, instead of false beliefs and false wishes, it is very simple, just look at whether you can already receive the light of Amitabha Buddha in your heart. Blessings will make your heart soft, truly joyful and grateful, and truly joyful to chant Buddha.On the other hand, if you really feel these blessings, you have good roots and good karma, and you really have faith and desire to survive, then your external behavior will inevitably change. Depending on the depth of your beliefs and aspirations, you will inevitably be relatively diligent and courageous, you will naturally be willing to break up evil and cultivate goodness, you will happily leave the world, and you will naturally give up the five desires, like to recite the Buddha, and no longer so greedy. The law of the world.If you don’t have any of these superficial reactions at all, it means that your beliefs and wishes are just an illusion of temporary emotional impulses, and you are not sincerely believing and wishing to survive, then you may not be safe in your future life, unless you can meet before your death. When a strong predestined relationship or good roots are manifested, you will have true faith and true aspirations, and even at the last moment there is still a glimmer of hope, but after all, it will not make you feel at ease and benefit at the moment.

Because this is how I guide everyone to practice the pure land thought of Master Shandao, all the students who have followed me on the Internet for many years can be more courageous and diligent than before, even if a few of them have not yet been able to get a lot of feelings in their hearts. Humans are also willing to force themselves to work hard to break evil and cultivate goodness, and to recite Buddha honestly, so as to cultivate good roots and merits, and trigger true faith and true aspirations, so that in the future, they will have the opportunity to escape from the world’s hardships and reincarnations.Since the beginning of XNUMX, I have started to set up a "Pure Land Religious Daoist Extensive Discussion Class" on Facebook to conduct systematic Pure Land teaching, so those of us who are always with us can also prove it to everyone. This is because they can really benefit from their studies, they can gain peace of mind, and they can really see the vision of becoming a Buddha, so there is absolutely no need to go back and go through troubles and troubles, search everywhere, and be full of hearts. Fearful days.

However, over the years, at the same time, I have also seen that many people today have a drawback when promoting the teachings of Shandao thought that rely solely on Buddha power. It is very dangerous to use the feeling in your heart to confirm whether you have established confidence in the rebirth, because the heart of ordinary people is completely unreliable, so if you think that you have sensed the blessing of Buddha's power in your heart, you will consider that the current rebirth has been determined. , then you may be trapped in a self-righteous illusion and cannot get out.Therefore, after some Buddhist chanting people decide to foretell their own life, they no longer pay attention to the precepts, and they no longer like to be happy and honest, uphold the name and recite the Buddha. In fact, this kind of change has fundamentally departed from the emphasis of Master Shandao in the "Contemplation of Sutras". The original intention of "according to Prajna as the body, holding the name and reciting the Buddha for the purpose of cultivation" is even completely out of the scope of the fundamental Buddhism of the three studies of precepts, concentration and wisdom. But now I’ve built up my faith in what seems to be rebirth based on this thought, but I’ve completely deviated from cause and effect and the teachings of the Buddha Dharma. I no longer recite or uphold the precepts, and of course I am not too keen on the worldly good dharmas.After all, breaking up evil, cultivating goodness, and practicing the Bodhisattva Way is a difficult way, not a peaceful and happy way. .For people like this, life is actually uncertain. The only hope is to gamble on whether they will have the chance to regenerate their true faith and desire before they die. After all, they are still tied to the name of Amitabha Buddha, but this In which life the seeds will mature is really uncertain.

In addition, I have also met a type of people whose situation is even worse, that is, after thinking that they have decided to die, their temperament has become very extreme, thinking that those who do not believe in Amitabha Buddha have weak roots of goodness, and they want to protect their own confidence. And constantly criticizing others and refusing to interact with others, his heart has become extremely small, his temperament has become extremely irritable, and he will even severely criticize the mage who has taught them in the past for causing him to go a lot of wrong ways. Can the Buddhist chanting people with soft touch and deep roots of goodness as mentioned in the scriptures be equated?Therefore, identifying the true and false of one's own beliefs and aspirations, and the correct understanding of building up confidence in rebirth are also important keys to whether or not to be reborn. People who recite Buddhism must not be too light-hearted. They must have a certain understanding on this. At the very least, you must first restrain yourself in behavior, and force yourself to do your best to break evil and cultivate goodness, keep precepts and recite Buddhahood. You must also be able to gradually let go of the five desires, focus your mind on the name of the Buddha, and actively accumulate and cultivate deep roots of goodness. Fortune and inductive power, only in this way can you truly be like a true Buddhist chanting person!

Chaos is the standard of pure pure land practice. It does not mean that you must recite the state of samadhi meditation without the slightest delusion, so that your mind will not be distracted and you will be born in the past, but it means that the mind of reciting Buddha must be sincere. If you don’t use the most sincere, joyful, faith, and desire to survive, it means that the desire to let go of the world’s five desires is not true.If you really have the most sincere and sincere heart to recite the Buddha, even if you don’t have enough time to recite the Buddha all day long, you will not be able to recite the Buddha and reduce the number of false thoughts. As long as you do your best and recite every Buddha’s name with sincerity and sincerity, you will still be able to achieve the Amitabha Sutra. The standard of rebirth mentioned in the book "Do not be distracted by the mind" (Master Xuanzang's translation translates it as not being distracted by the mind), it refers to the meaning of always concentrating on the mind, not the Buddha-chanting samadhi of meditation. The standard of practice can be completely determined by one's roots and karma, as long as you do your best, you don't need to practice samadhi meditation at all.

At the same time, it is also possible to avoid unknowingly reciting oneself for the sake of chanting Buddha. It can also help us enter a state of undisturbed mindfulness without knowing it, without asking for it. Can clearly and profoundly appreciate the state of the so-called "true faith and happiness" and the present merits and virtues associated with reciting the Buddha's name.It is said in the scriptures: "If one day, if two days, or even seven days, you will be reborn." This is really something that every person of different nature can do in the present. The old man also said that some people have recited Buddha for decades, or they have recited Buddha for a lifetime, why can't they work when they are dying?The reason is that the Buddha's name appears in the dream without being able to recite the Buddha's name in the usual way.In other words, after reciting so many Buddha’s names, they failed to become the seeds of Alaya consciousness. Why is this so?The reason is that the chanting of Buddha is not earnest enough, and even the beliefs and vows are not true.In reality, we have indeed seen many old practitioners who have been diligently reciting Buddhahood all their lives, but at the end of their lives they are unable to raise their righteous thoughts. Instead, they have great troubles and are unwilling to recite the Buddha's name, let alone be confident and happy, and wish to be reborn.Therefore, even if you have been reciting the Buddha for decades, if you don’t really recite it with sincerity, you may miss the Dharma Door of Well-Being, which has been cultivated by thousands of people in this lifetime.

Then the old man said, "If the mind of Buddha reciting is genuine or not, check the juncture and obtain evidence from the two places of joy and affliction. The true and false minds are clearly discernible. Most people who sincerely recite the Buddha's mind will definitely keep their thoughts uninterrupted in the midst of joy and trouble. Therefore, he cannot be moved by afflictions, nor can he be moved by joys, neither can he be moved by afflictions and joys, and he will naturally not be frightened in the state of death and life.” What the old man said here is that “the mind of reciting Buddha is really not true”, we can understand it as the belief of those who recite Buddha. The desire to live is not real.How to test it?The old man said, that is, in daily life, no matter whether you are happy or troubled, you must be able to keep the Buddha’s name uninterrupted, and never give up reciting the Buddha. With such a firm and constant power of reciting the Buddha, you will definitely be able to recite the Buddha safely without being scared or afraid when you are dying.This is just like what I usually say when I spread the Dharma. How can a person verify that the heart of faith and wish is true, so that he can really meet the conditions for the certain rebirth in this life, and establish the confidence of the certain rebirth in this life. The person who can naturally transform into a soft-hearted person who always rejoices in reciting Buddhahood, who is willing to abandon the five desires, and who is able to break up evil and cultivate goodness has the same meaning.The greater the degree of your transformation, the more sincere and sincere your faith is.On the other hand, the current confidence in the past life is still uncertain, and we have to look at the karma at the time of death.

If you follow Master Shandao's thoughts and practice the Dharma, the real reason for rebirth is to rely on the power of the Buddha, and whether the sentient beings have their own power of concentration and wisdom is not the real reason for rebirth. Power to live.However, the constant recitation of the Buddha's name is also a very important indicator to test whether the person reciting the Buddha is truly believing and wishing, and even whether he can immediately establish the confidence that he will be reborn in this life. A special auspicious sign that increases confidence.A person who recites the Buddha, as long as he is truly faithful and happy, and recites the name of the Buddha with joy and joy, no matter how hard he recites the Buddha, how much he has delusional thoughts, or how long he spends reciting the Buddha, even if he encounters this Dharma only at the end of his life, he can really be as taught in the Amitabha Sutra. "If one day, two days, or even seven days", even one or ten thoughts before death, with true faith, true aspiration, sincerity and sincerity, can achieve the great event of rebirth in the West and becoming a Buddha. The key lies in this Whether you can really have and keep true faith and true will before the important moment comes.
