Tonight, the cause of our lecture is very, very special. I didn’t expect that there would be so many people coming. I thought that the precepts were full this time. There were more than 250 people. It turned out to be XNUMX people. But I hope it’s us. It is the first time for Monk Qinggong to teach the precepts in Malaysia, so I hope that every one of our fellow practitioners, who are willing to receive the precepts, can grasp this cause and condition.So we have another XNUMX alternate places. Fortunately, this venue is big enough, so this time the registration is also very active (a full XNUMX).

But our precepts officially started after the day after tomorrow. Tomorrow night is Sajing, so I didn’t expect everyone to be fans of monks, but in the end they all came to join us one day in advance. However, I also saw a lot of our old friends. .Especially when we started from Segamat this time, our President Chen and she also led the army. This army is the Bodhisattva Legion, and it led forty-nine people. Forty-seven of them have to sign up for the Bodhisattva ordination. It's not easy!I’ve mentioned this before. When I hosted the first Buddha one a few years ago, they would organize a tour bus to come to participate. This is not just one or two times. So it can be seen that this time, this time, it’s definitely very kind. sincere heart.This bodhisattva's motivation! !

I saw them just now, and I said that you are the living bodhisattvas. Today I only came to get the ID card, because I knew them for not a day or two. That is to say, a kind of motivation under long-term cultivation. This is the real bodhichitta. .With bodhicitta, you are qualified to receive the bodhisattva vows without any requirements.Later, we will mention it to you in tonight's lecture. Then I saw so many people. First of all, I will talk to you about my feelings, because the lecture tonight is also very special for me.On the one hand, it also warms up everyone and prepares for the passing of the precepts this time.

Later, I will talk about the methods and mentality of taking precepts, as well as how to feel the special precepts. On the other hand, I also want to say goodbye to everyone, so I look like everyone is here to see me off. It’s so lively, I'm a little touched, although you don't know what's going on, but I seem to feel this way, so I am also very happy.Then why do I want to say goodbye to everyone, because this year around March, there was originally a Buddha one. In the past, we probably started from XNUMX. I averaged once or twice a year and held it for everyone in Muar. Buddha one.The fellow practitioners who participated were also very enthusiastic. They became more and more outstanding year after year. Until last year, the year before, there were more than XNUMX people present who received the five precepts. This is very rare, so I personally say I also feel very relieved.

For the past ten or twenty years, Malaysia, especially the fellow practitioners of the Jingzong Society, are very scared when they take the precepts. Some presidents and elder practitioners even have not even the three refuges. They are really too confused. Many people don’t even dare to accept the Five Precepts.So over the years, we, and especially myself, formally obeyed our lawyer Guo Qing in the guest hall of Yuantong Temple in Puli. After the monk Qing Gong studied the commandments, I became more motivated, and when I was destined, I followed Everyone will share some commandments. In fact, our specialization in the Pure Land is not incompatible with learning the commandments.Some people say oops!I only need to recite the Buddha and seek rebirth. Our old monk Jingkong also disagrees, and does not advocate precepts and ask for precepts. Some people have such a thought, which is completely misunderstood.

Look at us in the past or two years, our old monk has also asked Lawyer Guo Qing to go to the Australian Pure Sect Society to teach you the precepts.Therefore, this cause and fate are very extraordinary, and finally resolve everyone’s misunderstandings and misunderstandings about the teachings of our old monk Jingkong. If a monk, a master of the Dharma, does not want sentient beings to learn or receive precepts, then there must be a problem. That's a foreign road, one hundred percent is a foreign road.In fact, the old monk's lecture was very clear, but because it was too extraordinary, you only listened to Dong today, only part of it, and not the other part. Then you will misunderstand and take it out of context.Because the old monk is very powerful every time he lectures, then you will be finished if you accidentally hear it wrong, just oops!Don't take the precepts, for fear that the precepts are not maintained well, and there is one more sin of violating the precepts. Then simply don't take it, then don't take it altogether. This is the last thing I added, my own misunderstanding.

In my impression, I have been listening to the old monk giving lectures for so many years. I have been learning from the old monk at the beginning, and I have been studying the Pure Land for XNUMX years. I have never felt the old monk since I came to the present. Don’t persuade others to take ordination. We need to know how to listen, so I have talked about these before, so time is limited and I don’t want to talk about it any more. In short, no matter how we study each school, the commandments are the most basic, which is equivalent to a common subject, without any The reason is not to learn or not to precept.Then learning precepts is to start from taking precepts. Some people say oh!Then I can recite Buddhism. Anyway, the five evils and ten evils can be reborn. Why do you have to take precepts? Why do you have to learn precepts? There is a lot of pressure.Always find many reasons for myself, this is specious, there is nothing wrong with it!Today we are Buddhist chanters who specialize in the Pure Land. There are no conditions. Those of us who have heard my lectures, we follow the teachings of Master Shandao, XNUMX% rely on the power of the Buddha, and we will never miss one.

There are really no conditions. As long as you are willing to go, you can go. If you are willing to go, it includes "faith, wish, and deeds." You will definitely recite the Buddha. It doesn't matter if you recite more or less. It's really like this.But the question is, is it possible for a person who is really willing to let go of the Pure Land of Survival not uphold the precepts? It is absolutely impossible.So if there is a rejection of learning the precepts and keeping the precepts, it means that we have a problem with our heart for survival, and we may not have your share if we want to die.Then don’t feel pressure to keep the precepts. You thought it would be better to recite the Buddha, but now you have to learn the precepts and keep the precepts.Damn!If the five precepts are not enough, the bodhisattva precepts seem to be getting harder and harder!Actually, this is also an illusion of everyone.

If you have heard what I said, some of the discs recorded in the past two years, and discs about the precepts, you can understand.We learn the precepts, the precepts themselves are to help us liberate, so if our methods are correct, the more we learn, the happier we should be, and the more we learn, the more liberated we are.The reason why we are still troubled by chanting Buddhism today is that on the one hand, we don’t understand the truth and haven’t heard Master Shandao’s pure land thoughts. On the other hand, we don’t hold the precepts. If you don’t hold the precepts, it means that you still think about the five desires and six dust Growth, lust and greed, so of course your worries cannot be alleviated. If you recite Buddhism in your mouth, you are thinking of five desires and six dusts in your heart.Of course you can't see the effect no matter how you read it.Therefore, people who truly recite Buddhism, and even those who practice meditation and tantric practice, must keep the precepts.

Some people say that you don't need to keep the precepts for tantric practice. Those who have been fully enlightened are already in the realm of a great bodhisattva whose supernatural powers have changed. It is the same thing whether he holds or not. There is no difference. Ordinary living beings still need to keep the precepts.So we must be clear about this concept, especially that we must understand that as long as we know how to learn the precepts, we can learn very happily, and everyone should not be under pressure.

Well, before learning the precepts, you see that some of our fellow practitioners are usually very diligent and study the precepts themselves, but why do they not learn the precepts well and hold them badly? It’s because they didn’t feel the precepts. This is correct. The second step is to ask for the precepts first, then use the correct method to get the precepts, and then learn the precepts. You will be happy and relaxed when you hold the precepts, because there is the blessing of the precepts and the help of the protector god.This time we have to figure it out first.Therefore, those who did not ask for the precepts, and even the people who did not ask for the five precepts so far, my speech is relatively heavy; I am not a true disciple of the Three Jewels, what is it?It is the believers in Buddhism who come to make connections.

why?Because you should be a good person from the beginning of the three refuges, refuge in the Buddha, refuge in the law, and refuge in the monk.To convert to the Three Jewels, one must be a good person. What are the basic conditions for being a good person?It is the five precepts, and the five precepts are just the standards and causes of the human body.If we want to get a human body in the next life, you must at least hold the five precepts. The five precepts are equivalent to what we say in Confucianism: "Benevolence, Righteousness, Reason, Wisdom, and Faith". If you are unwilling to learn even the Five Precepts, you are unwilling to learn. , Because you are unwilling to take the precepts, unwilling to learn the precepts, it means that you don't pay much attention to it.That means that we don't even want to work hard to meet the standards of life.So how can you be a disciple of the Buddha? If you don't really take refuge in the Three Jewels, you must follow the teachings and practice when you take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. So after taking refuge, if we really want to learn Buddhism, we must take the Five Precepts.This is the minimum, don't make excuses for yourself in the future, oops!Just learn it on my own, anyway, I am holding it, and holding it is not good because there is no blessing of the precepts.

Then why do we need to have the precepts? Because we have to have an intention first. I am willing to bear it. It doesn't matter even if we don't go to hell well. In fact, we won't go to hell. Don't worry.If you want to go to hell, the hell is already full, and it's not that easy.Those of us who truly convert to the Three Jewels will not fall into the Three Tus as long as they take three refuges. What's more, we have people who receive the Five Precepts. We can learn as much as we can, and we can repent if we don’t, so we don’t have to worry at all.
