Everyone is very welcome to come from afar and come to our Taitung Fuxian’s house to participate in the eight-pass fast. This is the first time we are here for the eight-pass fast for the lay women. Originally, our Fuxian’s house was established. The main purpose is to make our bhikshuni masters able to have a short-term or long-term place where we can concentrate on doing things. We did not expect to be open to doing any activities. So today we can have this cause and condition. It is very special. It is very rare, which shows that we all have great rewards.

Our place has been established for about four years. At the beginning, we only had two container houses. Everyone saw that the equipment here is very luxurious. From the two container houses, the building has been gradually increasing. In the past few years, the number has been increased to eight. In the meantime, these eight container houses were built for almost three or four years. The construction time was only a few days. However, because I often go abroad to promote the Dharma and stay here for a short time, I only have to use it. To do the habitual residence in free time, on the other hand, it is also to observe karma. Just like our old monk Xuyun and our past patriarchs, they also do it according to karma when they build temples. How many people need to use it? Slowly add more buildings, so we also follow this spirit.

You see, there are many large temples built very solemnly at home and abroad. As a result, there are a lot of mosquitoes and bodhisattvas living in them. The cultivation of these sentient beings is also invaluable, but it may be a little different from the original intention of building the temple, so this is to be observed. Because of fate, we have been quite good at this place in the past few years. In addition to our usual meditation, occasionally some of our class and some fellow practitioners on the Internet will also come here to place orders and participate in school. Everyone who has been... …Although it feels very simple to see, the atmosphere is very good. They say that the magnetic field is very good, and they are all willing to live permanently.

But this permanent residence, if you come here for a day or two, it feels pretty good. If you really want to live permanently, you must have the ability. Not ordinary people can live. First, you must be able to stay calm, and then you must be able to do things with one heart. The so-called shutting down is Let you let go of all destiny and really do your best in the industry, so I feel very clean and very good at first for a day or two, but after a long time, you may not have this concentration, so this is not an ordinary person who can live permanently. , Permanent residence must have special causes.

Everyone sees such equipment. Actually, my intentions are like this, because we are not lacking many majestic monasteries in Taiwan, the mainland, and at home and abroad, so the blessings of all living beings are really great, but On the negative side, Fubaoda also has its drawbacks. Maybe you will lose your fortune without knowing it. So I see this phenomenon. I hope that it can be a leader by example, and as a monk, he has this responsibility. Let’s make a demonstration. We return to the spirit of the patriarch’s great virtue. We take suffering as our teacher and precept as our teacher.

This is accomplished by taking suffering as a teacher and taking precepts as a teacher. You see, many monasteries now live in suites! About twenty years ago, I went to the Daochang, one of the four major hills in Taiwan, to receive Bodhisattva vows, I went to receive the Bodhisattva vows just for the first year of studying Buddhism. I went there in a daze. At that time, I lived in the dojo for seven days. I lived in a suite. I was not alone but I lived with other people, but the equipment was very comfortable. , So now there are not many opportunities to learn from suffering.

I think that the root nature of our human beings is to be realized in our own hearts, and to truly implement asceticism. There are not many opportunities for this. We need such an external environment to achieve this, so I am also a breakthrough. , Try to see if you can do it, so when I first came to live in a container house, I personally was very uncomfortable, because I haven’t had any hardship since I was a child, and I started to exercise slowly after I became a monk, because there are more than ten In the process of practicing in the first year, some habits at home can gradually be transformed, especially in Hong Kong.lotusThe Zen temple has lived in the deep mountains and in the jungle. It is really a jungle of asceticism, so I have such a little confidence that I want to try it.

Doing these things was also a challenge for me at the beginning. Before we bought this piece of land, we had another place nearby, about XNUMX minutes away. We also bought a piece of land that was about the same size as this place. At that time, I lived in an old farmhouse, which was about XNUMX years old. Then we built two container houses on the other side. I lived there for almost three years and I never lived in the container house. Yes, all the fellow practitioners on the Internet have lived in the order, so when I moved here, because the atmosphere here is different, the atmosphere there is more like the countryside, and the atmosphere on the mountain is more suitable for doing this. The house was closed, so when we just moved here, we had no other houses except the container house, so we had to force ourselves to experience it.

When I first came, I really had a lot of discomforts. I needed to adjust my mind and body. Fortunately, because I had some foundation before, I got used to it in a few days, including our next door. Our next door neighbor is in the military cemetery. Living beings, very close to us, the military cemetery is just some living beings who sacrificed their lives for the country, the cemetery cemetery!But we are just neighbors now, and we haven't actually lived in the tomb. There is a practice in our Tutuo line, which is to go to sleep in the tomb at night. I don't have the courage yet, do you have it?That's why this is one level after another. We are all practicing and improving ourselves. Although I have been studying Buddhism for nearly XNUMX years, I still feel that I am inadequate in many aspects. It is really endless.

When I first came, I lived in this container house. Because the characteristic of this iron is that it absorbs heat when it meets heat and absorbs cold when it absorbs cold, so this time you come, I would like to remind you to sleep at night. Was it very cold last night?Fortunately, the temperature is still good now. If it is winter, when I came, I used to live here for a few years. Of course, I experienced the winter at that time, and there was no heating and cooling. These equipments were not available. Because our body is relatively poor, we really couldn't adjust it a little bit, so I installed these auxiliary equipments later.

At that time, it was so hot during the day that as soon as the door was opened, a heat wave came onwards. The airflow felt like pushing me so strong. It is estimated that the temperature is probably above fifty degrees at least, and our three warm ovens are still XNUMX degrees Celsius. No problem, you can still sit inside. The problem is that I guess the temperature inside the container house should be more than fifty degrees, but the heat makes you feel dizzy and uncomfortable, so I have to really step back. Can't get in.

Sometimes I go in and get something, I quickly abscond in a few seconds, and then I find a place, a cool place, which way is cooler, I lived like this when I first came, I went to bed at night and slept until midnight I wake up cold, and when I wake up, I feel like the food in the freezer. The ice is almost freezing in it. It was like this at the beginning, and now I live very comfortably. how about it?The climate of your visit this time is not bad.

You arrived yesterday, and it was raining the day before yesterday! It was clear yesterday, and the temperature is not very high overall. Although we are now almost XNUMX degrees, it is summer now!But there is a cool breeze on the mountain, and the heat still feels very comfortable, so as long as you don’t get stuffed in the container house, you can enjoy the cool outside under the tree, and you can almost basically eliminate the need for air-conditioning, so the cause here seems to be Simple, but in fact, the most important thing is to have the smell of Dharma. There is Tao in it, there is Tao Qi and Dharma smell. You will quickly have Dharma joy and be able to integrate into it. I don’t want to leave until I live now, but It's also not necessary to leave it, just let it happen.

Just like the Buddha formulated his family's precepts, one sleeps under the tree, and one food during the day. Why do you want to make one sleep under the tree?I just don’t allow you to be attached. Even a tree can only live for one night. He is afraid that you will be attached to that tree. This is my site. Therefore, it is stipulated that a tree will stay overnight. If you live for one night, you will have to move. , I’m afraid that after you’ve become accustomed to living, you will take it for yourself, and you will become attached to it. All beings have this habit. You have not yet converted to sanctification. Everyone has it, so I am also very careful. I often think, Oops!I seem to live like an immortal now, am I just staying here and not going to Paradise?No, we often encounter good times and adversities in our lives. We have to adjust, let ourselves return to the positive, and follow the conditions with a normal mind. Therefore, any cause and condition are the cause and condition of helping the Tao.

That’s like us, especially those of us who are beginners, especially those of you who are householders. The good fortune is very big and the family is unattended, so you must know how to make trouble for yourself. In the first few years at least five years, ten years, or even twenty years. In the new year, we must focus on adversity as the main practice. This target situation is the best. It can help us grow and subdue our habits. Don’t look for those good times. The fellow practitioners on Facebook are also full of good roots. I've encountered such a severe master, and no one wants to leave. No matter how much you scold you, you don't want to leave. This is also very rare.

Because you can understand for yourself, what kind of environment is really helpful to ourselves, what kind of cause is really helpful to ourselves, if you want to enjoy the blessing, it is easy to chase in the world, the problem is the result after enjoying the blessing, not only the blessing will be enjoyed. And our hearts will be empty. I’m all here. I’ve never had less blessing at home than you. Although I’ve only played for a few years and enjoyed it for a few years, I’m tired of it. It’s not that I don’t want to lose money. After spending it, I quickly get tired of it, and my heart is very empty, so it is true that adversity is better to practice. We must find hard work by ourselves. I often have this kind of thinking, so these ideas and concepts, as well as learning the great virtues of the Patriarch The spirit will gradually lead me to set up such a dojo when the karma is sufficient, and help everyone who is destined to do the Dao, can get help through this karma and be able to help.
