This place is not big, so we mainly train our resident monks, our internal practitioners, because I also mentioned that I have been a monk for 2 years. It's almost at the stage of retirement, so I didn't plan to arrange some activities abroad as often as before, and try my best to self-study and cultivate monk talents internally.
In addition, of course we also try our best to make the best use of this place, let it happen!There are laymen who want to learn the vows. We also arrange regular preaching of vows every month, as well as a series of non-scheduled co-study courses, so we just do what we want.Everyone is blessed to come here. We will try our best to make good use of this place. Like today, those who are here are all VIP guests (laughs). You can enjoy such a clean place with many people and many people, but the quality is still not true. It’s inevitable that there are too many people to be messy. So as long as we are truly focused on the Fa, we know what our purpose is, and then make good use of every cause and condition to achieve ourselves. This is the most wise person.
I probably mentioned our operations last time, but it has only been a month, and now the cause is different, so I will also mention a little bit to everyone here, how is it different?I mentioned that our operation here is mainly based on internal meditation. This general direction remains unchanged, but because we have just established here, the current class is only eight fasts. I will have to do it next month. Classes are suspended once, because I will go to Chile in South America to do something in a few days. We also have our permanent residence there and a closed room to deal with, so I will go to Chile for two months. It takes sixteen hours and two days to arrive. Airfare is not cheap. In addition to doing some dojo work, we will also use a period of time to study there as much as possible. So we will suspend classes once next month because we There are not many classes available yet, so I have a little time to do something for everyone.
Now because we were established here in the early days, not many people know about it, and we did not deliberately do any publicity. Everyone usually focuses on diligence. To save sentient beings is really to follow the conditions. The roots of blessings and goodness will naturally gather when they mature, and now The Internet is still the main way to save sentient beings. The Internet’s spreading effect is very fast and great. It happened that I recently encountered a cause and condition that caused me to have such a motivation. The general direction of our practice will always be the same, but the process can be. Follow the fate, you can follow the fate in any way. This is Buddhism. It also tells us that everything should be the same. This fate is very special. I wanted to be about to retire, so I would be more relaxed, but because of this Karma, I can’t feel sorry for my conscience if I don’t care about it. In addition, the effect of this network propaganda is really very good, so I will follow this cause, and I will also use some time recently, taking advantage of the fact that we have not many classes now. , I will especially make some videos on the YouTube channel.
In the past ten years, I have been to a dozen countries and we have recorded a lot of CDs to connect with you, but the way we want to record now is not the same as before. It used to be the traditional way of giving lectures. If it’s not for people who really want to practice and want to learn Buddhism, they usually doze off while listening to the scriptures. This is normal and a bit boring. My current method will combine with us. Some international situations that have taken place, various countries, large and small, and even some things that have happened in our lives, and some topics that everyone cares about. We combine these topics to comment from the perspective of Buddhism. Because things happened, you don’t know what to do. How to deal with it better, who is right and who is wrong?The public is justified, and the mother-in-law is reasonable. We will use the perspective of the Dharma to objectively provide you with a reflection. I think this method may be more practical for everyone. Whether you want to study Buddhism for a long time, it may be more practical. There will be some good references for you now, so this is just my heart at this stage. Looking at the results, we know that we Taiwanese are still very conservative. In the United States, it seems that more than a dozen continents have agreed to this same-sex marriage, because the development situation in each country is different. What should you say? What is correct?Everyone has a different perspective. Some people are conservative and others are open. Who do you say is right and who is wrong?There is no absolute right or wrong, so what should I do?Since there is no absolute right or wrong, how do you handle it?Of course you have to listen to the Buddha.A Buddha is a fully wise person who can be called a Buddha. Therefore, he will have a set of teachings. This teaching is in line with the truth. This standard is not an idea of ordinary people. You are a person with great knowledge and a university, and there will be differences. Different schools have different ideas, so there is really no way to have a standard. Buddha does not follow his own standard. If it is according to his own standard, then there is only one more school, right?Nothing great.He is in accordance with the truth. He has realized this truth, saw what is truth, and then said what he has witnessed. This standard is that the laws of nature are not his own, and he has no own ideas, so since it is natural The law is the law, and that is true. We must follow this standard, and regardless of whether we agree with it or not, even if we don’t agree with it right now, we know what is right. After we know it, we will gradually live in it. We go to find the answer and confirm it by ourselves. Sooner or later we will realize that it is really like this. At first, you may not be able to accept it, because you still don't understand it!You haven’t gotten into this realm yet, so Buddhism teaches us to practice. It doesn’t mean that if you believe me, I will be fine. Tell you what is correct. Then you have to confirm it yourself. To hear, think, and cultivate, you must first hear. It is the correct standard answer. After knowing this answer, you may not be able to accept it because you don't understand it. What should I do?The next step is to think, to think.Why do you say this?Is there any logical reason?Slowly experience, think, and act, hear, think, and practice to test by yourself, and test whether these truths are reasonable in your life?Is it humane?Is it natural?In the process of this practice, you will gradually enter this state, and then gradually you will become a Buddha.
Cultivation is such a stage, without leaving this process, but everyone has a different time. Some are able to become Buddhas with immeasurable calamities, and some are very fast. Look at the sixth ancestor Hui Neng in this life and hear one or two words of the Diamond Sutra. The mind should be born without a place to live. People become enlightened. After enlightenment, it is very easy to cultivate after enlightenment. On the surface, he is still ordinary, but his state of mind is already equivalent to that of the Buddha, and the rest is just some habits. After being wise, he has to slowly learn how to save sentient beings. Enlightened people need to cultivate without cultivating. Enlightenment means liberating themselves and seeing the truth. He sees what is good and what is evil. He sees very much. It is clear and accurate and will not be uncertain. Our own ideas and ordinary ideas are often uncertain.When you are enlightened, you will see the truth, and your heart will not change anymore. The heart is very confident, stable, and at ease, but that is only your own liberation. What will you do next after you are liberated?You have to live, and you have to live, you have to learn how to get along with others, how to get blessings and make money, how to achieve what you want in this world, and then how to help others. To save sentient beings, you still have to learn these things. Only after enlightenment can you really learn them.
Many people say that I am going to do good deeds and I am going to help others. Why is it that the more I help, the better my good intentions are not rewarded?Because you are not yet enlightened.The method you used is wrong and not in line with the truth, so you have no way to understand how the other person can accept it happily and can really help him. This is what you need to learn. The so-called after enlightenment, you need to learn three. The great monk is dying, so after enlightenment, he is still very good at cultivating. Don’t think that everything will be completed immediately after enlightenment. That’s impossible, because Buddhism talks about compassion and wisdom. Wisdom does not mean that the Buddha and you. With the blessing of Buddha, you will understand everything. That’s superstition and there is no such thing. Therefore, I am doing this stage through this cause and condition. If we want to save sentient beings, we must also learn various ways. This It’s also a challenge for me, and it’s another level of challenge. I originally wanted to retire and now I can’t retreat. However, my intention is probably to 2020, which means I only have more than a year. I will spend it. Some time is in this part, and there may not be a lot of time afterwards. The homework at each stage is different.
The first challenge is the operation methods of these Internet YouTube. Fortunately, I have these old fellow practitioners around me to participate together. This is for us to make good use of the equipment of this era. In the past, most of our Buddhist learners were brutal. Rejection, especially monks who repel these technological products, and it’s not easy to learn. This is a challenge for us, but it’s true because the modern environment is like this, why we can’t let go, if you don’t let go, you will be caught Elimination, if we know how to make good use of it, we won’t actually be harmed by these technological developments, unless you don’t know how to make good use of it, so now I want to escape and can’t escape, I don’t want to learn too much, but this When we connect things to save sentient beings, it is really very useful. You see that our place is small and then we came here not long ago. Not many people know about it, and now everyone is habitually equipped with mobile phones. Old Bodhisattvas are very good at playing with mobile phones. It is very convenient to get used to the Internet after listening to the scriptures and the Dharma. Therefore, we can achieve faster effects through this method, especially now because of the traditional way of speaking. The way of warfare is very important and that is the foundation.
- Use the wisdom of Buddhism to realize the truth of life in the universe
When you have not made the effort to study Buddhism, we must be more concerned about our own life issues. When we really solve it, get the correct solution from the perspective of Buddhism, and then develop confidence in the Buddhism, at that time we To learn, we must be steadfast, like you come to receive the eight precepts, we learn Buddhism as a disciple of the Buddha, we must first take refuge, and then take the five precepts to kill, thieves, illicit alcohol, this must be maintained, and then we It is to listen to the scriptures, and we have to learn the traditional teaching methods. This is to be able to steadily and steadily understand the truth of various theories. What I said is to use this method of commenting on current events that combines current causes and conditions. You can solve your doubts right away. When you encounter these problems, how should you deal with them? You can directly tell you the correct method first. You can understand it or not, and you will be more appropriate if you do it. Don’t make mistakes, because there is really no way for sentient beings to choose the right good and evil, including some doctors and teachers, because the standards of good and evil are very complicated, and everyone has different ideas. I just talked about many experts and many genres. , No one is convinced, so real beings don’t have this ability, so how can you make correct judgments if you don’t have this ability?
Like the Buddha told us, this karma of good and evil is connected to the three lives. It is not only the current life, but also the various causes and conditions of the past and the future, so it is very complicated.Just this life is fine. What we can see with our eyes, our eyes have very limited functions. You can't see anything after a piece of paper, including a great spiritual practitioner like Confucius, who saw it with his own eyes. His most beloved apprentice Yan Hui is eating rice. Before the meal time came, he was eating rice by himself. Who is Yan Hui?He is a person with the highest moral cultivation. It is recognized among his students that Confucius loved him very much, and even misunderstood him. A saint like Confucius saw it with his own eyes, so we sentient beings also want what I saw with my own eyes. Is it true? Is it true?Confucius will make mistakes, let alone us, how about doing it for a long time?He didn't see it just now, he didn't see the cause and effect, he just saw the present, what was the cause?He didn't deliberately want to eat the rice first. He said I was hungry and I would eat a few bites first. Without this kind of thing, most of us would not, right?Everyone must eat together when the time is up. What is the real situation?It was because a ball of rice fell on the ground before, and he was very lucky. The rice was dirty and wiped and it was not very clean. He was not good to put it back for the public to eat, so he ate it himself and ate this. Confucius saw the action, he didn't see the rice falling before, so this is a good example of telling us that we can't believe in ourselves, even if you see it with your own ears.
There are some people who are good at layout and want to frame other people who want to layout. They may tell everyone to play a scene first, and when he comes, we will tell him what to say in it, and then you will feel that I heard it with my own ears. Yes, in fact, you were in the middle of the trick. He did it deliberately. Everyone was talking deliberately, and then pretending to let you overhear it. You thought they were talking about that thing, and you thought you overheard it, but in fact it was People tell it to him on purpose, so does what he hears with his own ears count?Not necessarily true.Including our own inner thoughts. Don’t be misled by others from outside. Your own thoughts are messed up and the standards are different. This is how you feel when you are in a good mood today. If you are in a bad mood tomorrow, wow!We always think about the bad, so we don’t have the ability to distinguish right from wrong. We must learn a standard that is truly absolutely unchanged and correct. People in this world are not capable and must be sages. Enlightened people must be fully wise. A talented person has a way. He has become one with the truth and has entered the realm of truth. The standard that such a person speaks is the law. This is what we want to learn. These topics I think why I want to be interested, this I will elaborate on the cause when I start recording.
I would like to mention it to you today because this is also related to your coming to receive the eight precepts, because eight or nine precepts are not just for learning these precepts, no.What is the core meaning of it?It is sending bodhicitta.On the surface, we seem to learn the vows for a day to become a monk. This is the most basic vow to be a monk, but this is just the superficial merit. The real inner goal is to inspire this bodhicitta, that is, the heart that benefits all living beings. I just mentioned this example as well. This kind of motivation means that the various forms are different. We follow the fate. What kind of fate is more special?We can do whatever we have for what kind of cause and condition, and the way we can change from time to time with different ingenuity, but the inner motivation is very crucial.Today, if we want to achieve any wisdom, compassion, and any merit, we must not leave this bodhichitta. It is impossible for a selfish person to elevate his physical and mental realm. It is the standard of being raised from the layman’s family. The standard of monkhood is not only the precepts, but the inner heart must develop the heart that benefits all living beings. This is the bodhicitta.
You are now at home and there is a way of being at home. You don’t have to record videos like me. You can do that, but you can’t say anything casually. Every sentence has a cause and effect, so it’s true to me. It’s a big challenge. Our lectures are very simple. We have learned to understand and approved and did it. We have the inner experience and we can speak very well. It is a standard based on the basis. But we recorded the video now. Make a comment on what happened. If your inner thinking standard is not very clear, then what you said will have problems, or your own thoughts and paranoia, this is not very good, all are causal, point Every bit has cause and effect, so you can benefit sentient beings in your own way at home, but no matter if you become a monk at home, you must have the desire to gain bodhicitta and benefit sentient beings. It means that you are a monk for a day. This standard is different, so you must develop Bodhicitta.
Of course you can focus on self-interest first at home, but if you want to be promoted to be a lay bodhisattva, so at the beginning you are subject to the standard of taking the eight passes or the five precepts. In fact, self-interest has not reached the point of gaining the bodhicitta. Standards, such as benefiting sentient beings, did not make this wish, but there are lay bodhisattvas at home, and some old fellow practitioners like us have received the bodhisattva ordination. They have been with me for six or seven years, and these fellow practitioners have... no matter how bad their roots are. They can all be able to cultivate for a long time and can improve, and many of them do not eat after noon and then take the bodhisattva vows. The standard at home is that you end up taking the bodhisattva vows. Ten weights and forty-eight light vows equal XNUMX vows. Generally, there are only five basic vows. Therefore, you have to gradually improve, and at the end of the house, you have to accept the standard of bodhicitta vows. The spirit of this bodhisattva vow is also to develop bodhicitta. Therefore, in the example I just gave, I told you to develop bodhicitta and I must do it myself. Why don’t we practitioners stay with them for so long? Because I’ve been improving, I’ve been doing it for everyone to see and lead everyone to practice together, so I call them fellow practitioners. Although they are students, everyone is the same. Cultivation, practice together!It’s just that each person cultivates his own, and everyone gains his own. Some people improve quickly and some people improve very slowly, so I told them that you can never surpass me. I am very confident because I have been improving every day. There are different levels of improvement.
After enlightenment, you must also practice. The three aksengs I just talked about are because sentient beings have XNUMX different root natures, which are countless root natures... all walks of life, you see, after enlightenment, we monks, He may know everything...he doesn't understand the world, what computers are there or not, we don't understand how to do business, but he may be an enlightened person!So don’t think that an enlightened person must be like an eighteen martial arts master. If he spends all his practice time before enlightenment to learn the eighteen martial arts in the world, how can he become enlightened?Therefore, he must have his own practice, until he saw the truth in enlightenment. At that time, his heart was clear, and many things were clearly seen. There was no trouble in the heart. At this time, he entered the world, so he must integrate with the world. If you go to practice, it’s a graduate school course. You can’t do it for ordinary people. For ordinary people, you are in this dyeing vat. You are the same as everyone else, but if you practice your own practice, you have to leave this world, so it’s better to practice as a monk. His help is different and there is less interference. You can study specifically to improve yourself until enlightenment. At this time, you will have the ability to return to the red dust. Combining these modern skills, on the one hand, you can learn in this red dust on the other hand. Only when you are in harmony with the light and the dust, you can save them by getting along with all beings.
However, the current technological age also has this advantage. You can get along with you without going out. Fellow initiates like us have been studying together on the Internet every day for six or seven years. We have classrooms and clubs, and we have a series of rules and regulations. They all have it, but in the early days, we didn’t meet each other. So when we gather together occasionally for an event, the feeling is both strange and kind. Everyone has this feeling, because it’s hard to come by like-minded karma, so This is also a convenience of worshiping the Internet. If we know how to make good use of it, we don’t need to go out. You will need fare, gas, and time when we go out. It really takes time and wastes resources. If we make good use of this technology, we This effect can be achieved.Well, this is to tell you some changes in causes and conditions, and then also mentioned the importance of developing bodhichitta. This is the core that we really need to grasp when receiving the eight precepts, not just those precepts.
- Enlightening Bodhicitta is the foundation of Buddhahood
The precepts are very simple. I told you about it last time. In general, the Baguanzhai is to introduce the precepts. Because we have to preach the precepts here regularly, I won’t repeat them all the time. You want to rehabilitate. We have these precepts on the Internet, and there are videos that are very convenient to check. The real thing to improve is to use them. How do you use these precepts in your life? When you use them, for example, don’t kill them. Steal and adultery, you will encounter problems when you use it in your life, and you will not know how to handle it. If there is a cause and condition, you can ask questions when we teach it regularly, and then further is the inner bodhichitta you have to constantly let yourself Initiate. In this way, you can master these two parts. One is practice. After you learn the precepts, you have to keep listening to it and it is useless. You have to use it in your life. After you use it, you will definitely encounter problems, and you will not be able to figure out the problems. Yes, I can tell you when I have a chance to come back. You can ask questions and communicate with everyone, then your realm will always be improved. This process is to open up wisdom.Then the inner mind is more important. You must constantly urge yourself, not just for your own practice, but also develop a mind that benefits all living beings. This is called bodhicitta.
It is possible to become a Buddha with Bodhicitta. There is no Buddha that does not send sentient beings. It is impossible. If you don’t develop Bodhicitta, you will only attain Arahantship in the end. The fruit status of Arahant is like saying that you are a university graduate. You have not yet reached Consummation without getting to the research institute. Therefore, an Arahant has to be liberated by himself. He does not necessarily have to save sentient beings. You may only see him in the deep mountains. This is of little significance to the sentient beings in this human world. If you are a saint, you can admire it with joy, because you don’t seem to have anything to do with me, it’s not kind, and even the Buddha said in the scriptures that an arahant is a scorched bud, and a bad seed is of no use to you, just like a bad seed. Of course, he himself is liberated. This is relative. I say that you are willing to devote yourself to practicing and attaining Arahantship. Of course, it is admiration, right?Humans and heavens support and admire, but relatively speaking, you are not perfect enough, so the Buddha still reprimanded that this is not good, Jiaoya is ruined, so we can’t just for our own liberation, we must benefit sentient beings when we have the opportunity. This complements each other so that your ascension will be faster. .
Okay, do you have any questions to ask now?Because if we go down, we can use the microphone to ask questions later, because if we go down, we don’t necessarily have a lot of time. Sometimes we have limited time to sit in the guest hall. In the future, we will often try to leave some time for everyone to be on-site when we regularly preach the precepts. Ask questions, so you can write down your usual questions. This is an opportunity for everyone to learn together. Okay, do you want to ask questions?Because this new practitioner should also have a lot of problems to learn. This is good because if you have the intention to learn, you will naturally have problems. The ones that are okay either have already been achieved or have no feelings.
Fellow practitioner: I would like to ask, what does Master do if he wants to develop bodhicitta and benefit sentient beings?
Master: Everyone has different roles and abilities. To benefit sentient beings is to help others!right?Everyone’s role, status, abilities, karmic factors are different, you can do it according to your current karmic factors. If you are a buddhist disciple, we just talked about the first principle, let’s say you meet someone drowning. Now, do you want to say that I can't save this, and that I can save it?You must save the drowning first. No matter if he is a good person or a bad person, you should save him first. But you don’t want to be a lifeguard, so you don’t have to go to the swimming pool or the beach every day to see if anyone is drowning. No need, this I did it when I met you.
What does the Buddha disciple do?Of course it is to help others come in to learn Buddhism!Like in our class, we also have some donations for fellow practitioners in our class every month, that is, there is a special fund, five hundred or one thousand can be according to individual abilities. We use it to relieve poverty, like this is not our Dharma. Mainly, this is incidental.In other words, when someone needs it, let’s not talk about being a disciple of the Buddha. If people need your help in this respect, you can’t do it. The energy and time of success, you have to use it to help others learn the Dharma. Why?Because this can get the most benefit, just like if you give someone a meal, you can only help him eat one meal, and he will be hungry after a full meal, right?What is Dharma?Helping you seems to get the ability to work, because you are wise, you will be able to find a job, right?Then you will definitely solve your inner worries. In the end, you can become a Buddha, or even you can save sentient beings again, and you can save sentient beings again. You see that we can invest a little bit and we can benefit so much, because after this person has achieved it, he If you can do other people again, that merit will count as a point for you, you know?Just like the MLM, the first person you buy is the top of the pyramid, and the people you sell after you go down the line have achievements, you know?Therefore, Buddhism talks about giving up one thing.
We may give up a share of time, a share of money, and an ability. Moreover, you can be a volunteer, or you can do it yourself. You don't have to be in a group at the dojo and follow the cause.You pay a point, but when the future matures, he will be saved, and he will get a lot of benefits.He will help others again, and even he will give you back and thank you, right?You see, you will feel tens of thousands of merits. This ten thousand represents immeasurable. This is how we pay one cent and give away ten thousand rewards. It is in line with cause and effect. It does not mean that you fell from the sky as if you got huge profits. Similarly, you didn't make so much from playing stocks because you gave him a lot of benefits. Of course, you help him to develop wisdom is the most thorough, isn't it?So the rewards in the future will be great. If we only use it to relieve the poverty today, of course it will be very good. So we also have this special fund, which is a heart. We mean that if there is a real cause and fate, we will help others as we please. .Just like a drowning person, this is a sudden situation and you can't leave him alone, right?We can do a little bit when we encounter it, but we have specific things that we should do. As a disciple of the Buddha, we think this Dharma is very extraordinary, the most extraordinary.Of course, we give the most extraordinary to others, so our time spirit will be used in this part as the main, and we can do the rest as we please.If you are Taoist, you are Christian, or you are atheist, and you are working as a public servant... then you can use this principle as your role. You think it is the most important cause for you. , You just do it that way.
Fellow practitioner: I have a colleague who is easy to get into the wrong corners. He just talks...I don't know how to offend others everywhere. I really want to invite him here, but his people unless he is in a good mood.
Master: Then wait for him to be in a good mood.
Fellow practitioner: He can’t invite to go out, but he offends others everywhere and offends that. Our company will fire him and tell him to do it at the end of February. I always want to call him, but he is always on FB. Telling me that I don’t know what’s wrong recently, and I keep telling him that he is very unlucky...I told his good friend that you have to go through him when you talk to him like this, because he may not have studied Buddhism either.
Master: All beings are like this. Everyone has their troubles. They are ignorant troubles and lack wisdom. It's just that each person's troubles are different in severity. That's why you have to cultivate Buddhism. It doesn't matter.

Master: Yes.It doesn’t matter, because as long as there is a beginning, the beginning will gradually mature. For example, if we don’t preach the precepts next month, we will come again next month. We will have some other practitioners coming again next month. Maybe there are more people, not necessarily.Yes, but no matter how many people there are and there are few people, we fix this time to provide people who want to learn the precepts to use this space. There are many people and few people are the same. Each person cultivates each person, right?So every month, except for the next month, because this time I go abroad for a long time, I will stay for two months. When will the destiny mature? You are all skillful!

If you keep making him feel that you are accusing him, You are because you are not good, so you must come to practice, so of course he will feel very annoying, you always look at him bad, right?You said you are good now!Looks good today!Now you should observe the situation first, and if you feel a little better, you can admire him a few words.People always have strengths, and it is impossible to have strengths. It must be OK, but when we should be strict, we must be very strict, never compromise, and never relax.But why is this OK?Because of our precepts, what is the real purpose of precepts?Don't let you relax, right?You have to love beauty and fragrance, you have to seduce people, you have to respond to the five desires and six dusts, so you will be asked to say that you can’t put on perfume, you can’t make up, and you can’t do anything...so the real purpose is not to You let go and create the karma of five desires and six dusts, but because you really need to use it today, then you didn't break that precept!Why can't you open up fate, can you?This principle needs to be understood, so we must first know what the purpose of precepts is.

Just wash it!Not on purpose, right?And is there an absolute relationship between being a vegetarian and becoming a Buddha?nor.You can become a Buddha by eating meat, otherwise, how can you achieve it in your family, right?In the time of the Buddha, monks could also eat meat.But you have to know why we want to be vegetarian. This is what Emperor Wu Wu advocated and not made by the Buddha. Including monks, he stipulated that monks should be vegetarian. This is also a good act, because vegetarianism is to nurture our compassion. You will want it. Raising a compassionate person is absolutely impossible for you to bear the heart to eat the flesh of sentient beings to kill. This is contrary to compassion, so don't you open your eyes and speak nonsense?I killed you so I love you, isn’t that funny?To say that I am very compassionate, impossible, does not conform to the truth and does not conform to the laws of nature, is called self-deception and open-eyes and nonsense. Therefore, a truly compassionate person will naturally not do things to kill all living beings, unless, for example, there are some things. In places like Tibet, many monks eat meat, because meat is cheaper than vegetables, and eating vegetables is not easy!
It’s the same in the time of the Buddha. Why didn’t the Buddha make everything vegetarian because he didn’t cause trouble to others. He had a rule to eat only three pure meats, which means you didn’t see it being killed, you saw it being killed. If you can still eat it, then how can you be merciful and not hear the pain of being killed?;I didn’t see it being killed or died because of you. It died because of you. You can still eat it. Then you have no conscience. For example, I am going to be a guest at someone’s house today. What is the Chinese New Year? Come to me to kill a chicken, please. If you don't come, the chicken won't die, right?You clearly know that they are doing these killings for you, so you can still eat, of course many people don't understand, but after we learn it, we will know that the original compassion to protect us starts from here.Then if you don’t know this, don’t commit it.Or that everyone in this place looks like this, but the Buddha stipulated that you can only eat the three pure meats, that is, you can not eat the three conditions that you just mentioned. You can still eat it after you have seen it. If you violate human nature and your compassion, then you will commit this precept, so we need to know the cause and condition, what is the purpose of receiving this precept. If you master this purpose well, you will have merit in keeping the precept. If other conditions are not sufficient, it is called Open fate, because if you don’t open fate, sometimes you will cause trouble to others, and you will also create another sin karma, that is, don’t tie yourself to death, and then make others feel annoyed.It’s okay if you don’t learn Buddhism. It’s hard to get along with you when you learn Buddhism. It seems that if you are the only one who is clean and others are not clean, you are always picking up other people’s faults. You need to be wise in how to hold the precepts. Only when you have wisdom can you know how to open up the shackles. Of course, you didn’t have a certain level of enlightenment at the beginning. Of course, you will have doubts, just like during operation. , You will encounter different situations in your life, and you don’t know how to deal with it. If you don’t have a certain appropriate answer, you will definitely find an answer you like (laughs), but that answer is not necessarily correct. The answer is to bear the causal responsibility, so don’t talk casually. We shouldn’t always like to be the masters of others. Some people’s personalities like to be bosses. It’s not good to like to be the masters of others, because if you want to learn from cause and effect, you must be sure that the truth is understood, and then you know how to apply these principles. Understand?Karma is sufficient, we can’t just open the fate. You say that I have no problem. Then in the dojo, we usually prepare soaps that are not scented. Master: Regardless of whether you are a public servant or not, it is the same in your own private enterprise. You belong to the company at this time when you are at work. Of course, your people belong to the company. Of course, you can’t do private affairs, but if we do, there is still a way to solve it. We make up for it by ourselves, we use more snacks ourselves, or we should pay more time to compensate, all kinds of..., because the cause and effect are very complicated and you can do it flexibly. For example, if you think this matter is more important, you still have to do it first. You can be very lively to measure this, you can do whatever you want, but you have to know the cause and effect, and then you have to be able to bear it, you are qualified to open the fate, understand?You have to measure this causality which one compares... to measure gains and losses!You can calculate which one is more worthwhile, right?Then can you make up for it, whether you can bear this cause and effect, whether you have the wisdom or the ability, you are qualified to open the predestined condition, so that you will be more lively by keeping the precepts!Is it flexible, and there really won’t be any problems, right?You can make up for your cause and effect!How do you make it up? Of course, this is a situation of open fate.
We just talked about being able to hold on to the destiny as much as possible. Don’t be okay, I will deliberately be lazy, and then I will deliberately take advantage of the heart, the company is idle, and then just take advantage of it. This is called stealing time, you take the opportunity to do it. Your own business is not right, it is because you really have urgent things or things you think are more important, different causes and effects!This matter is more important, and then you can really spare some time, then you don’thold upToOn official business, maybe you can make it up after get off work, right?You must do things well. You must do well in your own work. But at this time, if you have to deal with certain things first, you must choose to do it first. There is no part of work during working hours. If you do, you can find time to make up for it. At this time, you can deal with it like this. If you want to open up the fate, if you don’t have any, otherwise you really can’t handle it. Okay, I’m happy to bear the cause and effect. I’m guilty of stealing and I repent. Then It doesn’t matter if people want to fix you, people want to fire you, people want to deduct money and enjoy it, because at this time, I have to open up fate, I may have to make a lot of money or I may have to make a very special merit. All in all, there must be cause and effect. This is also the case when you have committed something, and you have done nothing wrong. But how can you make up for it, or how can you bear the cause and effect, if you understand this principle, you kill You can commit adultery, but ordinary people can’t. You can’t commit this precept casually. If you kill one person, you can save XNUMX or one million people. The Great Bodhisattva will kill but not every Bodhisattva has this predestined condition. The Bodhisattva does not have the same idea of each person’s personality. Each has a cause and condition. There is no absolute right or wrong. It is your own choice. Then you bear the cause and effect yourself. If you think it is worthwhile, you can do it. What is your cause and condition? !Some people, like the one where I have soft feet when I see blood, I have soft feet when I saw people killing chickens since I was young, and I might not choose to kill one to save XNUMX. It doesn’t necessarily depend on the situation at that time. Speaking, I might choose other methods. This time is the time to inspire our wisdom, so the most important thing for us to study the Fa is to learn the principles and guidelines.
After you get through it, you will know how to make use of it in your life and different situations, and then every use will help your wisdom and realm continue to improve, so studying the Fa is very important. You have to learn this. Basically, at the core, you have to grasp that you should not just learn the superficiality. The superficial rules are just kindergarten classes. The really difficult and advanced things are applied later, so why do you have to get close to good knowledge in your practice? The improvement is smooth in the process. You will definitely encounter a lot of difficult times, so you need to have good knowledge to guide you. Sometimes you may not be able to find the correct answer when you read the scriptures by yourself, because there are many and different answers. There are different approaches at times.Therefore, we must first learn this principle. Karma must exist. If you commit a crime, you must commit it for no reason. You must not deceive yourself. If you commit a crime, you must commit a crime. There must be cause and effect. This is very important. These principles are very important. It's important. Then you get someone's salary when you go to work. It's very simple. Children understand it. You must have committed a crime. Then there is something to say about it.But can it be committed?can.What I just talked about is primordial fate, it’s not really offense, it means that you judge you to think it’s OK, I can do other more important things, I can do this, but if there is cause and effect, I have to know that there is cause and effect, and I I also know that I committed a crime, so how can I bear this cause and effect?
How did the Shurangama Sutra come to China? The Shurangama Sutra is a national treasure and it cannot be exported, but the great virtues of the Patriarch stole it, smuggled the Shurangama Sutra and cut it on the other side, and cut his arm to sew it inside. I can hardly imagine how this is done. For example, some people are hiding drugs everywhere, and there is always a way to smuggle them over. Is he a thief?You committed it!But he thinks it's worth it. There is a reward for him like that. It will be spread to China to benefit many people. Then he will bear the stolen reward and he will surrender. If you don't surrender, you can wait for the cause and condition to mature and you will be happy and accept it!You can enjoy the reward, it's worth it!But this is a big bodhisattva, and you must have the wisdom and ability to bear the consequences. This is OK. There is nothing wrong with the law. So you ask me what I can say to you, but I don’t mean it. Keep the precepts loose and casual, no.If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, it's very strict or it doesn't work, and what should be insisted on is still unchangeable.For example, what can't be changed?We must not change this bodhicitta, we must be altruistic, and we must not be selfish. This is absolutely impossible to change. We must not harm others or maliciously harm others. This is absolutely impossible to change, otherwise you are a wicked person and you are not a practitioner. This cannot be changed, right?Bodhicitta must not be changed, and it cannot be said alas!I don't need to send bodhicitta, I can become a Buddha or not, you must do this to benefit sentient beings.
When we learn the precepts, there are stamina and stamina, stamina means that what can’t be done must not be done, stamina means that what should be done must be done. If you don’t do it, it will benefit all beings. This belongs to stamina, like this. What cannot be changed is because the process cannot be changed. It does not mean that the Buddha said that it cannot be changed if it cannot be changed. It is not that a certain person said that this is the law of nature. No one decides it. This is the truth of the universe. You hurt others. No, is it?This little kid didn’t learn a lot, didn’t take a lot of lessons, and didn’t learn a lot of truth, but he would know if he was human. He would know what is right and what is wrong as he grows up. If you bully him, he will hate you, and he will know what is right and what is wrong. Knowing that you are a wicked person, you hurt him!The child knows too, why does he know?Because it’s by nature, right?Therefore, it is absolutely impossible to hurt others, but this is not possible. It is the principle of principle. When you do it, there will be skillful and open conditions. For example, if this person does not listen, I will fix him, so that he can behave. (Laughs) The action of repairing seems to be fierce. It seems that it is possible to hurt him, scold him, and beat him. The Patriarch’s great virtue beats people, but the intention is for him, and he will really get better as a result. Then don't commit this.It's not hurting others. This method is skillful, so you can't look at it on the surface. This knowledge is great.
A wise person doesn’t look at things at the surface, he will see the person’s heart, his motives, and the result of his skillfulness and convenience. They are very lively. Last time we talked about visualizing the entire ten method realm. All the merit clouds above our heads will begin to appear on our heads. When slowly the second time, our merit clouds will fill the entire Dharma world. , It has spread and expanded, and our Law Bodies have also expanded.
