Master: Well, this question is a good question. Many elderly people, including those in the future, may also come across. We young people don’t say that they are old now. The young people’s body is already exhausted and there are a lot of problems. Then before they die in the future. , And it is inevitable that you will encounter illness and suffering when you are old. What should I do at this time?If we ourselves are firm in our faith and willingness, understand the teachings, and know the retribution of karma, we will know how to rejoice, but for those who don’t understand the teachings, and those who do not believe in our will, the people around us must be patient with her and comfort her. .

My grandmother is an example. She died at the age of nearly ninety. When she passed away, Ruixiang was very good, but her illness dragged on for nearly ten years, which was a long time, because she also made her... It's really too powerful to scold people, because the older generation, like the XNUMX-year-old generation, used to farm, so the bones are particularly bad. Now the old people are too, and sometimes the young people are also bones. Loose, so I walked later. When I was old, the bones of walking were particularly painful. The pain was very unbearable. Our grandmother used to be Yiguandao who did not believe in Buddhism. Later, because I became a monk for three years, slowly, it took her three years. Turn around and recite Buddhism. This kind of thinking is not true. It is reluctant thinking. It turns out to be an outsider. Knowing and seeing is not very righteous. When you are older, you can tell her. She also seems to understand what is wrong, but she just has to follow us. , Because I often persuade her to accompany her in reciting Buddhism, and tell her some karma, usually good will listen to persuasion, slowly listen to persuasion.

Sometimes I went back to see her for a long time, and she saw that I deliberately took out the rosary and read it to me to please me, but this was still superficial after all, that is, she wanted to read as hard as she could, and she had obeyed and followed the Buddha. I also live in Paradise, but when the illness strikes, the six relatives will almost deny her, and only I can read her, because I am her most dear granddaughter, and after becoming a monk, because I have practiced seriously for a period of time, my family treats me too. She can be treated as a master, and she will listen to her a little bit. When she is ill, she will still scold the people around her. This pain will not only stop reading the Buddha's name, but when I go home, our relatives and friends will He complained to me, "Your grandmother kept cursing people again, and then she didn't read the Buddha's name, she kept cursing, cursing some awkward things", and asked me to persuade her.

I will tell her, I will say... First of all, I will tell my family and relatives, I said "You must be patient with her and read with her", because a person suffering from a disease has no way to decide on her own Yes, she was not deliberate, so we must have more patience and try our best to accompany her to read. Like me, on the one hand, I will persuade her again. I will do both soft and hard. Sometimes to be tough, I will follow She said to me, "Your body has been used by others for several years, more than XNUMX years. You haven't cherished it before, don’t understand, this body has been used by you for more than XNUMX years, then you How long did you recite the Buddha? How long did you recite the Buddha? How long did you recite the Buddha? Then did you recite it very seriously?" She thought, "Yes, I don't have one", "How long did you recite? You don’t recite the Buddha name so seriously. Then you expect it to suffer from illness immediately, and all the illnesses will disappear immediately? Your request like this is too much", I will tell her like this, because I am closer to her. Both soft and hard.

Of course it’s not really scolding her, just tell her the truth, "Look, how long did you recite? When it hurts, I complained about Amitabha. People Amitabha is unconditionally trying to save us. It’s too late for us to be grateful. How can we say a few words? I’ll blame Amitabha for the physical discomfort right away, and blame the Buddha’s name for not working.” Sometimes you have to be a little stricter with them, but most of the time, you still have to say, “Let’s recite with you, and we must be rational. To be reasonable, Amitabha Buddha unconditionally wants to save us, and we have no other way to go. What else can you do besides chanting Buddha? Is there any way? It’s useless if you see a doctor, right? You complain It’s worse, you complain, you get angry, your thoughts have always been on your painful feeling, you will be more painful", you have to tell her this, and it is also true that you will be more painful, so we must hurry and concentrate If we recite this Buddha's name and divert our attention, it will definitely be less painful.

Furthermore, when we are very respectful and genuinely praying to recite this Buddha's name, we can feel the blessing of the Buddha's name. At this time, you will forget the pain, the sickness will be relieved, and even some people will recite it. It’s all right, the body is better. There are too many such inductions. You can also find some related examples to tell her. Cancer can be read as good, and it doesn’t matter if some of them don’t read well, she will alleviate this. Suffering, many lotus friends with terminal cancer did not take painkillers, and they were able to concentrate on chanting Buddha without pain. Others could survive. This doctor didn’t believe it. It was Buddha’s blessing. Tell her these truths. You can’t just follow her. Slander, I don't read it, play my temper, and then blame the Buddha's name for not working, you must first comfort her, let her stop the ostomy, and then persuade her to tell her these truths.

It’s not difficult. The most important thing is that we have to be patient with her. People need comfort from others. You have to say, "You have to be serious, you have to recite the Buddha and concentrate on it." The problem is that you ask her to do it by herself, but she can’t do it. She doesn’t have the power, no one supports her, and she’s so hard. Of course she can’t do it if she wants to, so of course the karma will be triggered all the time, even her mouth karma will always be created, and in the end she will not even recite the Buddha's name. So this is what we can do when we encounter this kind of situation. It is best that we should be vigilant when we see these examples. We must build up our confidence in this Buddha name as soon as possible, otherwise it will be our turn sooner or later, and many of us. Old fellow practitioners and presidents of this group have also worked very hard in reciting the Buddha all their lives. At the end of their lives, because the true faith and eagerness have not reached their heart, they don’t know what they are. They don’t feel it, and when they’re dying Before the emergence of illness and suffering, it is karma. When the karma appears, he is very painful. Then he takes the qi, and puts all the qi, pain and anger on the Buddha's name and says "Turn off your Buddha's name." He doesn't listen to the Buddhist scriptures. In the end, he died very ugly and did not die.

You have been reading all your life, and when you are dying, what's wrong with him?He does not have good knowledge to lead him to correctly understand this practice. He does not usually establish a correct concept. He always thinks that he is practicing Kungfu. If you think that you can practice Kungfu well before you can die, then we are sure that the older we are, the older we are. Without confidence, especially when you are sick, your usual confidence does not arise. You cannot rely on the power of the Buddha. In fact, the Buddha is always around to bless us, but we can’t feel it. If we usually build confidence and believe that the Buddha is really protecting us. We believe that the Buddha's name has this power, so whether it is present or dying, any sickness and suffering, our current Buddha's name can make it generate power, not to mention the successive thoughts and thoughts, the sickness and suffering will definitely be alleviated and even healed. , This is the truth.

If you read the suspicion once, then of course it won’t be felt. Then it’s really a waste of work. In fact, we recite the Buddha and chant for a long time to Buddha... It’s very disrespectful to have no faith in this Buddha title and Amitabha. Strictly speaking, yes. Very disrespectful, deceived oneself and deceived Buddha and Bodhisattva, right?So you look at our karma, our greed, anger, ignorance, and suspicion. There are multiple roots of karma. Even the Buddha has to doubt. The Buddha does not need to deceive us. There is nothing to do when we are full. Let alone Amitabha, Buddha Shakyamuni came to this world to show itself. He does not want to be prosperous and wealthy. He practices asceticism and manifests himself. He has nothing to ask for in preaching and teaching for sentient beings throughout his life. He has such good conditions and wisdom. Why do people do this?In the past two thousand years, how many patriarchal virtues, monks and monks, let go of everything physically and mentally, and give unconditionally to all living beings. What is their own example to show us?Are these people stupid?There must be his reason. We don’t understand, but it’s okay if we don’t understand. If people do this, we will follow suit. We will save trouble and get the same benefits.

Let's think about it if others doubt you, would you feel very insulted, right?You are obviously good to him, and you want to help him. You don't really have any purpose. As a result, he suspects you. Is he disrespectful to you?That’s right, it’s disrespectful, because it’s true that we can’t bear to blame, because now sentient beings are too suspicious and often deceived by others. After a long time of deception, the ability to believe in people is gone, and the ability to trust is gone, so even The Buddha doesn’t believe it anymore. The karma is really heavy, so what should I do?There is no other way, only to ask the Buddha and recite the Buddha, thinking that this way the karma is the fastest to eliminate, stupid thoughts, reluctant thoughts are okay, when the time comes, the karma will be eliminated, then you will believe it, and you will suddenly feel it. Buddha blessing, and then you will be very touched, you may cry bitterly, is anyone crying today?It seems to be. The boys are more polite and embarrassed, but it doesn't matter that we all have felt that after learning this skill, you should go back and find time to eliminate your karma on your own, and learn to have a relationship with Amitabha.

We have recorded a lot of CDs, all of which are centered on one core. Because we don’t have much time, the scriptures taught by our old monks are very rich, profound, profound, and extensive. They can’t be listened to in a lifetime, but many fellow practitioners can’t master it. To get to the core, it is not easy to master the core, so we are particularly focused on building confidence in rebirth and how to get blessings from the Buddha. In this area, we have always used many metaphors and skill to guide everyone, so Everyone should keep listening to more on the CD, and then after listening, learn to be honest, don’t cultivate hard by yourself, haha, learning is very lonely, we actually... Buddha always accompany us at any time, but we have no feelings, no feelings, In fact, we are very happy people, we are not alone at all.

In my opinion, what is our occasion today? "All good people will meet in one place." We are all fellow practitioners of the lotus pond sea association. This is the world of bliss, but if you don't feel it, there is no way. It is just a change of mind, and then we can't see the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. , Because the naked eye has obstacles, but they are not leaving us. If we know the truth of this fact, our suffering will quickly fade away, because we have a sense of happiness, and we will not be alone with a sense of happiness in our hearts, no You will be scared and very stable. In this mood, you will naturally have no place to put your troubles. It will fade away, and any illnesses will be alleviated. Only by practicing this method in this way will you be able to quickly obtain the Pure Land method, especially You don’t need to rely on yourself for the blessing power and merit of the method.

We can't do anything on our own. We can't do well in the Five Precepts, and we can't do well in killing theft and adultery. What if we can't do it well?You will become less and less confident, and then you will feel more and more "miserable, no way to go", more and more painful, right?So that direction is wrong, you don’t have to rely on us, because we really can’t get any merits anyway. If you don’t believe me, you’ll know if you don’t believe it. If you don’t believe it, you can just look back and look like Patriarch’s great virtues. So being smart is not about relying on the Buddha honestly and wholeheartedly asking the Buddha to bless us and give us strength. As long as we receive this power, what we will do in the future, as if we will become very strong, it is actually the Buddha’s. What power gives us is that we are now becoming a Buddha, and we are now becoming a Buddha when we recite the Buddha, and we will have the power and wisdom of the Buddha to face all kinds of difficulties in life. We will have that power, which is incredible.

Therefore, we must find a way to quickly do a homework in the course of reciting the Buddha and listening to the teachings, which is to interact with the Buddha. This is what we have to do now. After the induction of Taoism, your true faith and aspirations will really arise. It’s not that what you say with your mouth is useless, you have Dharma joy when you feel it, and your heart is dependent on it. Your desire to regenerate is true. Otherwise, you are not familiar with Amitabha and are very strange, and the world of bliss is not good, just some birds flying. It’s boring to come and fly, and there are no entertainment venues. You don’t respond. You have to experience his benefits. If we do not have the salvation of Amitabha and the world of bliss, we will always sink into a sea of ​​suffering. We really need to see the truth of these facts clearly.

Our wish to be born is not only true, but also earnest. I am leaving now. This is the correct response. Should I commit suicide if I am leaving soon?No, let it go, let the Buddha and Bodhisattva arrange everything in our hearts. We don’t say that we rely on the Buddha and Bodhisattva in our minds and bodies, and do what we have to do in front of our eyes. What I do for sentient beings is not what I want to do, including the good laws. The good laws in the world are also illusory, right?Do what you want and do your best, but don’t have those plans for yourself. The thing you want to do most is to recite the Buddha. In life, we must learn and keep the precepts as much as possible to be a good person who recites the Buddha. Because we have not yet passed away, we still need to be human and live, life must have rules, we must learn the precepts, and those who recite the Buddha must keep the precepts and recite the Buddha, so that they can respond to the mind of the Buddha, and your behavior keeps causing evil. No matter where you look like a Buddhist chanter, this part is not difficult to understand by fellow practitioners today.

I try my best to use plain language. In fact, I really want to talk. The truth is very deep. There are many patriarchs who speak a lot of classical Chinese. I put it in the vernacular and use a popular way to make it easier for you to understand. In fact, it is more. The Da Shi’s great virtues are written in classical Chinese, and they all seem to be very deep. It seems that you all have a good response, and seem to have enough understanding. This is to have good roots. Otherwise, I will tell you for a long time. Seeing the Buddha, I don’t want to go to the Paradise of Elysium. This world is still very fun.” That’s not appropriate. It’s useless if you make it clear. So today, I think our Fa conference is also very extraordinary. I hope we will every A fellow practitioner can truly arouse true faith and aspirations in this life, and every one of them has the opportunity to die as a Buddha in this life.

Before dying, we must not leave the good knowledge, and do not get close to other people who practice the Dharma. Because we do not have concentration yet, we have to get close to those related to our practice, not to practice miscellaneous practices, and then we will be uninterrupted, Don’t retreat. As long as you can grasp this principle, you can easily follow your own abilities in the days. You can keep the precepts and recite the Buddha to any degree. As long as you keep faith and will not retreat, you will die when the time comes. To become a Buddha, if you don’t become a Buddha, I will come to pick you up. I will let Amitabha come. It is really possible. Everyone can do it. It’s not that difficult. Amitabha is the king of Buddhas. We have to believe in him because we want to achieve this. The purpose is to help everyone uninterrupted, to be able to charge everyone occasionally, and to help you not turn back.

That’s why we, Jushi Chen, made his mind to ask me to come here twice a year to take everyone to spend a day off, enjoy the taste of chanting Buddha, the joy of chanting Buddha happily, and then come to eliminate the karma. You see, it is natural that we are also very happy and diligent. Anyway, the matter of our death has been decided, we If you can learn and do what you can do for sentient beings, try to do as much as you can, so I have already arranged to recite the vows, and then do some other tasks, so next year may be arranged until the end of the year before there is a way to come. In principle, it is tentatively scheduled for November. We look at the time around November XNUMXrd, but our time has not yet been determined. I just checked the calendar and it is probably this time.

Power, there is no way for this, and we can’t make the decision by ourselves, so we must protect our body, mouth, and mind, and get close to good knowledge. These aids help us to maintain the Taoist heart, so that we are safe until the end of the day. , Amitabha will definitely come to pick us up, are you confident?Yes, I think everyone is very happy to hear. They all seem to have good roots. Joy and joy are corresponding. It is not easy for everyone to get together today. It is not easy, and it comes from all directions. It really is.
