This letter from Master Shadu was written to me about two months after shaving at Huazang in Taipei on June 1999, 6. It was only before Shado that I met Master for the first time and the conversation was less than half an hour. I decided to shave with the other two brothers three days later. About half a year later, I decided to return to vulgarity for the time being, but it was just a kind of ingenuity at that time. I never had the idea of true vulgarity in my heart. The reason I was forced because I promised Before asking for Master, I asked Master if he could follow the Master ’s law after he became a monk. Master said of course, I was willing to shave after three days with the newly-acquainted Master. At the time, I was completely unfamiliar with the monks. I would like to follow the old monk of Clearance to think that they are a master-student relationship. That should be fine. I did not expect that after shaving, Master did not agree to let me follow the Master. On the other hand, the Brothers were unable to tolerate me. I always try to force Master to drive me away. I do n’t want to trouble Master any more. I watched every day that Master was arguing hard by another Master because of my existence, and was anxious in my heart. After wanting to follow the teachings of the Shigong School, I later asked the Master that I should be ordained to guard the Tao heart with the ring body. When Master wrote this letter to me, at that time, Master was taking our three brothers to pay a close order with the Master in Kuslin, Singapore. During this period, a Bhikkhuni advised me that I should attend a training class to follow the Master ’s law, and I had I asked Master for permission first, and Master did n’t agree. In the end, I had no choice but to leave Changdu to live on my own after I decided to return to Taiwan.

Recently, I have sorted out my previous correspondence, and then I kept it on my website. Now, look at the contents of this letter almost twenty years after becoming a monk. For me, Master, for me, is the first benefactor who made me a monk. It is also the beginning of cultivating sufferings for me for twenty years. No matter what kind of relationship between master and apprentice, it is always a dream, and it is also the major cause of this life. From the perspective of practice, everything must be grateful!
